This was our 2nd visit to this hotel but this time we took our son,

We had a amazing holiday. The cleanliness of this hotel is extremely high you cannot fault any of the cleaners, They work 24-7,we would like to say thanks again to our room cleaner Mamood.

I have given the food a higher rating this time as there wasn't a day when we couldn't find something lovely to eat, our son who is 10 never ate from the children

We stayed for two weeks at the Coral Sea

The staff at Coral Sea are the most friendly and welcoming people you could ever wish to meet anywhere.
At check in we were both provided with a fruit drink, a nice touch and much appreciated because it was late at night and after many hours travelling.
We left our Luggage outside for the hotel staff to bring up to our room about 30 Min's later

The hotel is spotless, from top to bottom. they are constantly cleaning and keeping on top of things.
Even the large windows are constantly cleaned even getting into the corners, everyone seems to take pride in their job or allocated area.
The toilets are also spotless, every single day over two weeks I couldn't fault them.
Our room was on the right of the block and was approx south facing so got a fair amount of sunshine all day on our Balcony. Its a very large hotel complex and quite resembles a modified multi story car park when you walk from your room to the Reception area, it also gets quite a bit of wind whistle through the open corridors especially on the ground floor during windy days.
But having said that, this is just a minor point to mention the hotel is beautiful and has beautiful gardens with lush green Lawns, shrubs, plants and Palm trees.
The Dine Around is where we always tended to eat, the food was plentiful and of a very high standard.
Even if you are a fussy eater and I am a little, there was always something nice to eat.
The food was always presented and displayed in a very attractive way, and the chef's were forever checking to see if all was OK. Even the Boss man of the Dine Around was always on patrol making sure all was OK. If it wasn't he got on to his staff to rectify immediately, he was well on top of his game.
The Dine Around waiters were absolutely brilliant. They could never do enough for you especially Emad.
many thanks to him. he was constantly on the go, forever topping up peoples drinks and ensuring all ran well. The other waiters are so polite and always say hello and smile. There English is very good even knowing our local catch phrases such as, cheap as chips and ASDA price etc...
During the whole two weeks we never encountered any stomach upsets and we'd eaten salads and taken ice in our drinks. I will say that plenty of bottled water was always available in the dine around restaurant.

We personally weren't that keen on the Irish Bar, it catered for the kids alot with lots of shouting and screaming, followed by Bingo and discos. It did seem very Butlins style to us but that was just our opinion.
We were always quite happy sitting in the reception area on large sofas drinking and chatting to other guests, but then again we are in our forties...
The hotel location was great, literally about 15 Min's from airport and 30 Min's from Narma Bay
You could easily walk up the road for 5 Min's and come across Laguna Vista shops and across the road a supermarket selling all sorts of goods like home and very well priced too.
At the rear of the hotel was a long smooth concrete road extending about 1 mile in either direction.
This was lovely to stroll along but beware of electric scooters and mini motors razzing along. They can be hired and need to be looked out for when walking. They are very quiet being electric so beware.

We have both returned home now and miss the Coral Sea so much. We think its because the Egyptian people, plus the surroundings and the weather, all helped to make our holiday a lovely and most memorable experience for us both.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay there 10/10

And "Yes" we hope to return to Coral Sea very soon............

Arrived at the hotel and were met by a friendly Reception team plus a fruit cocktail whilst we waited to check-in this was a nice touch.

The hotel is absolutely spotless, from the corridors to the toilets nothing bad can be said about the cleaniness of this hotel.

The bedroom was massive, especially as there were 4 of us in the room (me,hubby & 2 children aged 16 & 13). It was lovely to walk around the bedroom and not knock your legs on furniture or the sides of beds!

The hotel gardens were lovely with flower beds and palm trees.

There were 2 pools, 1 was heated during the winter you felt you were having a hot bath. The sunbeds were of a good size with a lovely soft mattress, and all towels were provided.

All the staff from the Pool/sunbed attendants, waiters, room cleaner were very friendly, this hotel is very hard to fault.

I must say how hard the First Choice Entertainment team worked, they were so friendly -hi to Vicky, Fran, Gemma and Dave. My son who's 13 made loads of friends - 19 of them and we didn't see him most of the day as he was either playing football or in the pool with his mates.

The food was very good and hot, if you could find something to eat you've got to be very hard to please. My husband got very friendly with the Head Chef and had a tour around the kitchens, he said they were absolutely spotless, each section had its own preparation area.

We will definitely go back to this hotel, probably March 2008 and have even noted which block we want to stay in and room.

The hotel was great, food excellent and rooms very nice too. The staff can't do enough for you. When you arrive you leave your cases at reception and within an hour they are at your room.

The rooms were as in the brochure and clean and of an excellent standard. Room cleaned and sheets changed everday.

Towels are given for the beach or pool and changed at the end of the day for a clean one. So no need to take any with you. Food great, good choice all tastes catered for.

What more can I say, we would definitely go again and visit the same hotel.

My husband and I have just come back from two fantastic weeks at the CSR.

We had booked a double room with sea view and were given a large room with a wonderful view of the sea. The only thing that was disappointing was that the buildings for the rooms are divided into two wings and we were on the right wing (when facing the sea). In January it can be quite windy in the evenings and having a balconey on the right meant that the sun never reached it, so we could not sit out comfortably on the balconey as it was a bit cold. The left had wing was probably better, but they may have been Select rooms. Anyway, the room was spotlessly clean and Mustapha, who cleaned our room, looked after us so well, even ensuring I had extra tissues when he noticed I had a cold!

The hotel is in a great position, set right on the beach and the Red Sea. It is about 15 mins on the coach to the airport and about 25 mins to Na'ma Bay. We went in to Na'ma Bay once on the hotel bus (

This was in many ways the most bizarre holiday I have ever had, the reason I say this is, the hotel itself is a lovely friendly place.

Every member of the staff in my opinion is helpful, trustworthy and really could not do enough to make your holiday as relaxed as possible for your whole family.

The grounds, beach and the swimming pools are all maintained to a very high standard to the point of faultless, and believe me I am FUSSY!

However and this is a VERY SERIOUS matter. The food that they have feed us on has made my whole family very ill, I have spent the whole week hungry, and like the rest of my family suffering from diarrhea.

The food at this place in my experience is the worst that I have ever seen or ate. The food they served was of the lowest standard possible, and for that reason I would recommend anyone who cares what food they put in there families mouth to stay well away from the swill!

Well as we landed in to Sharm airport it was madness but hey that is what we had expected as we read the reports on here.

When we arrived at the hotel we were greeted by the friendly hotel staff and also the smart first choice rep in there suits. The reps were there the whole time that we checked and helped with everything which was great normally the drop you off and leave you there.

We got to our room and it was great our suitcases arrived about 45 mins after check in. I don

We stayed at the Coral Sea Resort in Jan 07.

Our room was cleaned every day and the bed was made in a different way each day, arranging t-shirts etc on the bed which was novel. The food was good with a different theme each night, with plenty to choose from. However, the veg was very repetitive and each night was chicken and beef cooked in a different way !

The cakes were fantastic though. Although the hotel has a fantastic beach with very shallow water until you get out to the end of the jetty, there is nothing else nearby. It is definitely a hotel based holiday!

Saying that, we did go into Naama Bay, which is a 30 min taxi ride away, and was glad that we weren't right in the Bay. We got nothing buit hassle, trying to get us into their restaurants etc.

The hotel staff are not like that at all. They are really lovely people and can't do enough for you. The entertainment isnt the hotel is limited. It is the usual kids disco, followed by bingo, then a show - glasseaters, dancers etc, follwed by the adults games, all very Butlins style!!!

I would visit this hotel again though but not for a few years.

This was our second visit to the Coral Sea for new year. We have never ever been back to the same country or hotel twice and were a bit anxious about doing this - how wrong were we! It was even better than the first time round. From the time we arrived to the time we left we were treated like royalty. All the staff we met last year remembered us and went out of their way to make us most welcome and to look after us.

The New Year's Eve bash this year was better than last year's one but last year's one was still brilliant. It seemed better planned - ie tables and spacing out etc - now that the first one was out of the way and the tent was over the amphitheatre which was nice and bigger. It was a pleasure to have all of the management there too mingling with both the guests and all of their staff. The 'dancing Chefs' along with Mohamed Shaarawi were most entertaining and made our night.

First Choice reps do a lot of the evening entertainment and we found this a lot better than last year - the reps that were there this time were more organised, could all sing and dance and spent more time chatting to the guests and arranging entertainment for the kids. They were there when we woke up and almost til we went to bed - they worked very hard.

The Staff at the hotel are out of this world - what more can I say.

The rooms are spacious and cleaned every day. The surrounding areas - ie balconies, pool, grass, water features, lobby, reception, shops, bars etc are spotlessly clean and tidy. We had the same room as last year but a different housekeeper who was just as good as the last one - his name was Mohamed. We would like to say thanks for the 'little touches' to him.

The food, once again, was of an excellent standard, some different theme every day/night and something for everyone to eat - even the kids. Once again, none of us suffered any illness on our holiday from the food - the only illness one of us had was from beer!!! (Too much of it if you ask me).

Now that the River pool is heated it's brilliant as it gets a bit chilly in the winter in the water. We were all in the pool every day and this once 'quiet' poolside is now very noisy and full of life - which suits us fine.

The Recreation Team were, once again, great with sunbeds, towels, the kids etc etc. They are all so friendly and our best friend is Hussien - absolute class bloke.

The Pool Bar staff (Ahmed and Aziz) are absolutely brilliant. Ahmed made sure that my diabetic son only had diet drinks and no ice cream until he had checked with us first, he was always smiling and only too happy to be of assistance - he too is our friend.

Of a night we mostly frequented the Irish Bar as this had a mini disco from about 8.20pm - 9.00pm for the kids and then Bingo for my mother and any other bingo fans out there before an hour's entertainment - this was either Egyptian entertainment (produced locally and very good) or the First Choice reps - we saw some good shows, different to last year. Then there was a disco and dancing til the early hours which kept the older 'kids' busy! Ahmed also looked after us in this bar every night too - he works very long and hard and still manages to have that same smile and cheeriness of a night that he does in the day. His colleagues in that bar varied from night to night but they too looked after us whenever we went to the bar - especially if the women couldn't carry all our drinks back!

Me, my wife and kids didn't really go in the Lobby Bar much but my mom and dad went in there after bingo every night, almost, to escape the night life which they felt they were too old for. They seemed to find the quieter, more tame atmosphere, in here more suited to them.

We would like to say a massive thanks to all those personally named above and also to Mohamed Shaarawi for not only sorting out that we had the same room as last year but also for making sure my mom and dad were right next door as requested. We would like to thank all of the staff at the Coral Sea resort too.

Would be go back again for a third time?......

Oh yes - roll on May!!!!!!!!!!!!!
