we visited this hotel in november 2006 with another couple and were so impressed we decided to return for a summer holiday with our son who is 16 and daughter who is 20. Again we were not disappointed and we will be returning with a larger family party very soon. The first choice entertainment team changed over during our second week and the new team of Gez,Lauren and Davey are working extremely hard.

This was our second time at the Coral. Still a lovely place.

Staff, food, rooms five star plus.

We have booked again for Jan 2008. Yes we had the Sharmells that was the heat, not the food. Just beware when you go to the airport make sure you put one case at a time on the belt, as they try and weigh two cases at a time. With his foot on the scale told us we were 26 k over then wanted 140 stirling told him we had no money cases went through.

Well then where do I start, we have just come back from Coral Sea Resort and arrived back in the house at 6am this morning.

The hotel is first class and how it has not been awarded five star status is beyond me. with the facilities and food being excellent. The rooms are cleaned daily with a change of sheets and towels each day. The hotel staff cannot do enough for you, just treat them with respect and they will really look after you.The cleanliness of the hotel is amazing. The weather is hot but on many days with a nice breeze coming in from the beach.

Now we are a family of four and as most parents know if the kids are happy then we are happy, My kids (aged 8 and 6)have asked throughout the holiday for us to come back next year because their is that much to do as the entertainment team work so hard and where Brilliant and for me where 70% of the reason for us enjoying ourselves so much so a massive thank you to Jez, Kelly, Lauren,Tara, Davey and the lovely Tasha for making our holiday so special.

Also like to say hi to our many friends who we met on holiday and hope that the Chicken dance stays in everyones memory website soon to be launched

We were expecting something special when we arrived at Coral Sea and we weren't disappointed. A lovely hotel right next to the beach, only problem is the distance to any night life, Nama Bay is 20-30 minutes away by bus.
The hotel staff are all excellent especially Samir, Ahmed and Ashraf who always had a smile on their face.
The entertainment team were very disappointing, great with the kids but for adults absolutely hopeless, they were all very nice but they couldn't entertain, well below what we have experienced at other hotels of a similar rating, they also asked continually for us to give them an excellent rating, sorry guys you were nowhere near excellent.

Stayed at the Coral Sea Resort 29th of July to 13 of August 2007.
On arrival at Sharm airport we were ushered to a queue for visa's.Having done the research here on TA, I knew that the visa was US$15 but when we approached the desk the guy there would only accept Stg

This hotel has the potential to be a great place to stay, the location ie right on the beach and its facilities are very good. The staff work non stop and the rooms are very clean, pool is spotless and they do really always have a smile.

The downside is the food, we have been on many ai holidays and have yet to find anywhere that has great food so anyone thinking thay will get 5 star cuisine is in for a shock. I was amazed to read some of the reports on here but we all have an opinion but I have to say my idea of good food is not bland, usually likewarm, repetive stuff. Now you will probably not starve but the largest queues where for the chips and pizza'a which kinda said it all. We ended up on the shuttle bus to Naama where you can buy most things. Hard Rock, TGI etc and the Lebanese cafe is worth trying.

We would go again but not for the food.

Entertainment we didn't bother with, but I would ask that the daytime music around the pool be varied more and please don't try and play stuff at 10 on the amp when the speakers can only handle level 2 it just sounds bad.

We stayed for one week we found the hotel very clean and the food was good. You could always find something to eat.

Location right on beach staff always very friendly & pleasant they work very long hours.

Entertainment we felt could of been better.

We would definitely go back to this hotel and would take family /friends with us. We have paid a lot more money in past for different places but this is truly good value for money.

We stayed at the Coral Sea Resort - Egypt from 21/6 - 5/7/07.

What can i say we had a brilliant time and would go back.

The hotel was spotless, waiters were always clearing up, the cleaners were always sweeping the floors.

The hotel grounds are spacious and well looked after.

The 2 pool areas were always clean. The smaller pool was the quietest with no music, which is what we preferred. The larger pool was where all the entertainment staff would be, and the music was very loud, so very difficult to concentrate.

The beach was lovely and was always very quiet, so could get a sunbed whatever time of the day.

We found the food very nice, with a selction of different foods evey day and we never felt we were eating the same things day in day out. But I tended to eat salad at lunchtimes and just a roll. If you eat chips for lunch and dinner you will get bored!!!

The drink was fine, the beer, wine and spirits were all drinkable and so were the soft drinks. You could get bottled water and lunctime and dinnertime and you could fill these bottles up around the pool and in the lobby bar.

Entertainment was poor, it is the same line up every night, you get the kids mini disco, head to head, bingo and then a show such as a magician, or an egptian show, or then you would get the entertainment staff singing, which was not brilliant.

The staff were all very friendly and were always smiling.

Would go back and would go back to the same hotel.

We stayed here for 2 weeks at the beggining of May, we loved it & would def go back.

The hotel is lovely, it was really clean, the staff here were fantastic & work really hard, they are all so friendly. The food was nice & there was lots of choice.

The drinks were good, the cocktails were great! The First Choice entertainment was good fun, though really aimed at famalies. The Kids Club was not good & I wouldn't leave my son there as there was only 1 lady who didn't seem very capable in my opinion, I would say it was more like a baby sitting service, but there was no need to leave the children there cos there was so much for them to do anyhow.

The weather was great, about 40 each day but it never was uncomfortable.

I would recommend this hotel to any of my friends or family.

Well what can I say. What an amazing place. On arrival we were given a fruity drink which was lovely. First impression of the hotel was wow!

We were then taken by a buggy to our room (select) with our suitcases and shown around the room and the facilities within.

The room was spacious with 2 single beds for the kids and a king size for ourselves, sofa, chair, TV, DVD player, mini fridge (which was costly!!!)digital safe.

The bathroom had a bath and an overhead power shower with toilet and sink. The towels were changed everyday sometimes twice a day if we needed to.

The bedding was changed every day and the cleaner came in to our room about 3 times a day to tidy up etc he was amazing too.

The hotel was amazingly clean, the cleaners were constantly cleaning bless them and the gardens were the same beautiful flowers lovely bouncy grass, again the workers were out in the garden working through the night.

The pool's were lovely, they had a little pool for the younger children another pool which was quieter without music etc and the large pool with the pool bar which I went to mostly.

The pool water was cool but it was a blessing in the lovely heat. The location of the hotel was a little in the middle of nowhere however, this didn't bother us as we were there to relax.

The hotel staff are very friendly people and can't do enough for you. The kids received a lot of attention especially my 2 year old daughter.

The food in the dine around was great plenty of selection for everyone, with loads of bread and pastries and cakes. There was a different theme every night i.e, Mexican, Alexandrian, Oriental, Indian and for those who do not like to try different foods there was always chips to fall back on.

Make sure you collect your bottles of water at lunch and tea times to put in your fridge as we went through an awful lot of water.

The entertainment wasn't very good at all, the F/C reps were a bit full of themselves and couldn't sing but the illusionist and the spinning man they brought in from Egypt were amazing well worth watching.

Unfortunately I was feasted on by Mossies at the amphitheatre and none of the repellents worked, therefore ended up at the chemist and bought antihistamine tablets.

During our first week my husband got the "Pharoah's revenge" terrible fever, diaorrhea, vomitting and it was awful, again another trip to the chemist!. We are not sure how he got this but have a feeling it was after he had been snorkelling in the sea!

The snorkelling is a must it's amazing under there a totally different world. I took my children to the creche in the morning as they had swings and a slide and a pool which was covered from the sun. I never left them there as I didn't feel they were well enough equipped (safety wise). The gate was always left open by the maintenance guy's and the lady who was watching the kids was sat inside while the kids that had been left there were in the pool unattended!!!

There were 3 children who were left at the creche regularly and talk about giving the British a bad name, I have never come across children like that before the language was atrocious and they treated the Egyptian girl like dirt she was glad too see the back of them.

Anyway overall you will not be disappointed at this hotel you will feel relaxed, and will enjoy every minute of it. I would go back but I like to try other places so will end up going back in a couple of year's probably.
