This was our first visit to Egypt. Although we have visited many AI Hotels prior to this, I feel we have always rated them fairly, until we arrived at Cora Sea Resort. Well this place just beats the pants off all other hotels that we have stayed at. I'm worried that we have had to much of a good thing here at CSR.

First of all First Choice it would have been nice to have been advised which terminal we were leaving from at Manchester Airport! Three terminals and we have never been here before.

On arrival it's a bit confusing as you are not used to having to leave your bags and someone take them to your room for you. The room was spacious, kept clean and was accommodating for our fortnight stay. The TV channels were very good, mostly in English with Arabic subtitles. We watched many good films (I know we were on holiday but you will see why as you read on further).

The food was fantastic. I usually lose my appetite when abroad, but here, I honestly can say that you won't go hungry. We even managed to drag ourselves out of bed for breakfast. Who can resist pancakes and syrup? The restaurant staff were very good. They worked hard and nothing was too much effort for them. If it was your birthday they would all come out the kitchen in a long line singing and hollering (real funny).

Reception, Security and Bar Staff were all friendly and helpful. Except I deducted a point for the Amphitheater's Staff. Their views on women drinking alcohol were made quite clear, plus at times the beer was very warm.
I wouldn't bother booking a table at the Indian. It's alright food ,but we somehow occurred a hidden charge here on top of our 2 adult paying meals? Service was good though and the extra we wrote off as a tip to that department.

However we found the Italian restaurant very appetizing and well worth the visit and paying for your drinks. Don't miss this!

The pools were spotless. The building and grounds were always being maintained. We spent most of our holiday around the smaller pool. We never had problem finding a sun bed (though it might mean you having to move a few around). Hooray, for the first hotel, I have seen that won't tolerate the sun bed hogger. Those who think getting up early and reserving your garments on a sun bed as yours, for the duration of your visit will be very disappointed. They remove your towels!

Daytime is very relaxing. Unfortunately night time leaves little to the imagination. The First Choice Entertainment Team. Oh my goodness, I can't even say how bad it was. Craig's crooning, Amy's awesome (I know the words to Hungry eyes!) Poor Amy. Useless Emma Lene (with no time for children) and sweet but ballet won't win us over Caroline.

The one hopeful out of the bunch is Nathan. He does have something about him and the kids adore him. A very funny guy. but he is wasted with this lot.

How many years have First Choice been doing the same old entertainment now? I have a First Choice Kid's Club CD from 2002 and not much has changed since. Put that aside though, Do we really want to watch Jack And The Beanstalk? Oh no we don't.

So this is why we watched many films on TV, with all our early nights. Finley's Bar is just to loud with an empty dance floor. There is nothing to do if you are an adult unless you wish to visit the gym.

As for suffering from the Egyptian tummy. Yes you do unfortunately. Luckily my two kids and partner suffered it slightly but I got the worse. It didn't come until Day 10 of our stay, but when it did it was bad. The chemist is expensive but what do you do? Pay the cost, or ruin your entire holiday?

Don't worry about CSR. If you worry about every bad little thing you read about ANY hotel, you would never go away.

Go and enjoy because Iwe would certainly return.

We arrived on a thursday night about 10 pm and the all inclusive food was still being served. That was nice. The food was ok and this did change every night and some themed nights were included. The hotel is always being cleaned through the day and the staff are always keen to help. The hotel is right on the beach yo could not get any closer there are 2 very large pools and these are kid friendly. We are not easy to please but I Can be honest and say I would use this hotel again .

We stayed at the Coral Sea Resort for the fifth time last month and have to say that the hotel has not changed in the three years it has been open. The Hotel area and rooms are kept really clean by the staff as are the grounds and pools.
The bar staff are very efficient and cannot do enough to help with anything.
The only downside is the lack of entertainment in the evenngs for adults.

we read loads of comments about this place and most of them were wrong. the hotel was very nice and clean and most of the hotel staff were very freindly. FOOD. in the resturant it was like a school canteen, queing up for food and by the time you got what you wanted it was cold and as for the breakfast , you should try the eggshell which comes free with a ommlet or fried egg. and watch out in the evening for the waiter offering you the irish coffee, he hides the price then ask if you want one and as soon as he puts it on the table another waiter comes with the bill (

The food was great with alot of variety, The location of the hotel was good it had a mini shopping centre on the inside and just outside the hotel there was another shopping centre. The staff were amazing and could not do enough for you and very child friendly. the entertainment was not great for Adults but there were a lot of changes being made towards the end of our stay. I would definatly go back to this hotel again.

We arrived in Sharm El Sheikh late on a Thursday. Thankfully the dinner hall was open. We couldn't believe our eyes when we walked in. Every type of food you could possibly think of was there. The holiday was getting better and better everyday. Their were activites on every part of the day for adults and children. The entertainment team were amazing they did a childs entertainment at 8 till about 9 including Dancing, Games And Loads More. Between 9-10 usually its bingo and a quiz then 10 onwards their is different entertainment on. One night their was a man lying on a bed of nails and smashed up glass. Another a belly dancer and loads of other event shows. The hotel was amazing and we plan to go again next year.

After reading some reviews about this hotel I was getting concerned. But I had no need to be because the hotel was superb. The food was really good with lots of choice. Im a really fussy eater and I can honestly say there was plenty of choice.
The hotel was absolutely spotlessly clean and all of the staff couldnt have been friendlier.
The only downside to the hotel is the entertainment isnt much good for adults because it is geared around the kids but to be honest it was nice just to sit and chat to people over a drink. The location of the hotel is on the beach with a shopping centre 5 minutes walk away that even has a McDonalds. There are a few shops on site that are reasonably priced if you haggle. I cannot believe some of the bad reviews written about this hotel , I dont know what planet these people are on.We really enjoyed our stay here and have already booked to go back with our children.
If you have booked to go to this hotel I promise you will have a great holiday , dont believe the bad reviews.

We really enjoyed our stay at the coral sea. The staff are really helpful, the food was tasty and the location right on the red sea was ideal.

We where a bit concerned about eating in the mermaid restaurant at lunch time because birds are allowed to fly around inside and where landing on the sandwich making place.

They did try their best to cover the stuff with tea towels but I felt proper covered containers or the like would've been better.

I couldn't eat a sandwich but we did have the cooked food which was fine. The pizzas are very nice .

The main restaurant was fine and lots of choice for everyone, the waiters are great with a good sense of humour and very helpful.

If you tip one on your first day and go back to the same part they will look after you the whole of your stay.

We also ate at the Italian which was free once per stay but you had to pay for your drinks which are a rip off, cheapest bottle of wine was

Hotel was immaculately clean and the rooms we had were spacious and very well kept. Equivalent to a decent 4* english hotel.Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful, particularly the pool staff and Dinner staff. Concierge were a bit dodgy, always trying to get you to spend money on trips they organise. Had heard a few horror stories so would advise caution.
Entertainment was none existent really. It's possibly the one part they haven't get to grips with, which is a shame. Reps entertainment was terrible, as were the reps themselves....very poor. Irish Bar was very smokey and like a working man's club with no money for decent entertainers, hence the wannabe reps poor show.Ok if you are brain dead
