This was our second time to the coral sea resort so really that says it all.We have been to the caribbean in the past but l think the Red sea is a much better place, only 5 hours flight time the weather is fantastic wall 2 wall sunshine. The staff are lovely, can't do enough for you, our house-keeper was great came in each morning & cleaned,& changed the towels, came back again in the evening & turned the bed down & changed the towels again. As for the bed, normanly a single is 3ft. a double 4ft.King size is 5ft. don't know what you call an 8ft.6ins one but that is what we had,(Room 2019)the view from the large balcony was great(sea & pool view)he put beautiful towel designs on the bed every day(thats an art in it self)l had all our party come & look at our peacock.Finleys pub was very loud,it would have been better if there was a good middle of the road Disco that every one could have enjoyed, instead of the reps screaming & shouting. It was quiet boring in the evenings, When we went 2 years ago the outside amphitheatre was where most of the entertainment went on,which was better, but for some reason this wasn't beening used any more. There was 9 adults & 2 children in our party every one of us loved the hotel & beach the staff, most are planning to go back next year.l have read alot of reviews about the coral sea & l honestly think the people who have given it a bad review are people who expect more then what they pay for(l think it's great value for money)food was good, the only down side we had on the last coulpe of days of our holiday the Russians started coming into the hotel & they are very rude, pushing in on the queues(l group pushed in front of me whilst l was in the pasta queue,& even pushed a little girl out of the way & demanded their food)l told them off but it went in l ear & out the other.

This was our second visit to CSR and we were not dissappointed.
Hotel is one of the best we have stayed in.
Due to the fact that main restaurant is buffett, food can be a bit repetative for some. However the staff try to vary the dishes as much as possible. There was not one night in which we struggled to get something we liked and we are rather fussy eaters!
The grounds of the hotel are well maintained and staff work 24-7 cleaning.

I have to agree with previous comments re the entertainment staff. On our previous trip the entertainment team were brilliant putting on high standard shows every night. They were so interactive with crowd and it was easy to see that they loved what they were doing.
Current team though seemed to be more interested in putting each other down and as far as I could see only once were activites like aqua aerobics done in the 2 weeks I was there.

Overall though, I would definately return to this hotel again.

We stayed here for 1 week and booked the select rooms. They were large and very spacious with huge balconies and sea views, worth the little extra they cost. Rooms cleaned every day and they would call back each evening to check if the room was ok and if you needed anything else. The only down side with the room was the mini bar, you did have to pay extra for this but if you ask them they will empty it.
The food here varied each night but you could always get a pizza or pasta from the italian section. We had a BBQ twice during our week and there was a big selection. The food in the day was good too, you had the main buffet restaurant or the beach bar which was a menu restaurant and it was nice to be waited on.
The staff were excellent, they could not do enough for you weather it was the reception, bar or restaurant they were only to happy to help.
They kept us entertained of an evening too as they were so polite and friendly.
The First Choice entertainments team worked all day and they worked very hard. So for the reviews that moan about them please take with a pinch of salt. these guys work very hard and try so hard all day. At the end of the day they are not west end stars and they do their best and they did a very good job as we saw nothing but laughter every night.
They were under staffed so they had to work even harder over 12 hours each day but never once were they miserable....they did a great job! Like I said before if you want 5* west end entertainment dont expect it. You are on holiday and just go with the flow and enjoy. 3 night out of our 7 we had outside entertainment...i.e a singer etc who were very good.
I love sharm and this hotel is great....you will enjoy.

Food:- Very repetitive, started to all taste the same. As the 4th time i've been to Egypt, one of the reasons for return was the food. Even I had to resort to the chip butties and pizza! We ate in Naama Bay at the Jollie Ville Hotel (the Italian overlooking the main street) The lamb chops with minted gravy are to die for!!
Location:- I would have preferred to be closer to Naama Bay, its only

Just returned from the best holiday I've ever had. Everywhere is clean the food is at a high standard and the location is spot on. The staff do everything in there will power to make your holiday as good as it can possibly be, they are friendly and always put a smile on your face. The entertainment was amazing, and there was always people in the audience laughing away. I would definitely visit coral sea resort in Egypt again.

The hotel and staff were excellent but the First Choice Team were rubbish..all except Nathan. They did not want to be there and made everyone aware of this. The hotel was kept clean but the drinks were always warm and in the last week of the holiday the air conditioning went in the main area of the hotel, so there was nowhere cool to sit, unless you went back to your room. The entertainment was that bad that a lot of people would sit around the hotel playing cards, which is not what I expect from a holiday that has taken over 1 year to save for. There was also a problem with the pools because some of the kids were getting burns from the chemicals in the water, but besides this the pools were lovely. The staff would come round about 2.00pm with ice cold face clothes to put on your face, and these were lovely. The staff work very hard but First Choice really let them down. The bar at the ampitheatre was a mobile one so all the pop and beer and other drinks were very warm and the hotel needs chilled drinks on tap instead of bottles that go warm in the night air. The water was also warm out of the water containers that are very scarce around the hotel.

we had a change from cyprus this year and what a mistake it turned out to be,there were 9 people in our group,7 were ill with severe stomach upset,we had sewage water coming up from our shower base, four times the drain had to be unblocked, the french windows did not lock properly, our friends lost use of water in there room 4 times, there phone was broken.somebody did a dump in the pool, the entertainment was garbage, and the waiters are ok if you are young and female,my advice,go somewhere else.

Came back from the coral sea resort last friday. The hotel is very clean and right on the beach. There were 4 adults an 2 kids. Three of the adults had dodgy stomaches and my 2 kids. I think it was down to the heat. Tempratures get up to 60c or 130f plus. Also being in an out of an air con room doesn`t help.

The water goes without saying, the egyptians feared a malaria outbreak so upped the chlorine in the water watch out when showering dont swallow any. Also another good tip is to drink a glass of water after getting out the pool, bottled obviously. Water is free served at lunch time an at dinner in the evening you can get as many bottles as you want.

We also got ripped of by the hotel pharmacy he charged

We have just returned from the coral sea, after having the best holiday we have ever had.

Bad points first; first choice entertainment is fantastic if you are under 8 years of age, any one older that that will find it unbearable, the entertainment staff all give it their best but they are not quite up to the as far as the adults are concerned, but dont let this put you off as the rest of the hotel is out of this world.

Bedrooms are enormous and spotless and beds and towels are changed as often as is needed.
I have never seen as many cleaners they work 24hr a day keeping the place spotless.

Food, we thouught this was of an incredible standard. It could be a little bit chaotic at busy times but there was always something for everyone even if it was only fresh pasta or fresh pizzas (both fantastic).

The hotel staff are probably the frienliest people on this earth, noyhing is too muc trouble for them, the only downside to the staff are the suitcase brigade who after being tipped well to take cases back to reception constantly wanted paying for each case they put on the coach, my advise is to load your own. This is also true at the airport where the coach driver wants
