Absolutely adore Kefalonia - it is a stunning island of contrasts. Car hire is a must to get the real feel of it. We love Lassi too. Stayed in other resorts all over the island but having a little one it is a good resort to be a) near to the airport (10 mins transfer) b) near to the town of Argostoli (walking distance if energetic) c) great clean sandy safe beaches d) good choice of child friendly restaurants and open air bars. In the daytime Lassi does look unappealing as its set out on a straight road with restaurants supermarkets and bars on either side however at night time it looks much nicer. There are some really good restaurants here and the people are just so friendly everywhere you go. There is a decent choice of provisions in supermarkets. Argostoli is only a 10 mins taxi ride away and is well worth a visit or few in the morning to shop at the fresh fruit and veg markets on the front or in the evening to wander down the main strip of appealing little shops. The square at night, especially of a weekend, comes alive and its lovely to kick back and people watch outside in the summer evening air. There are some fabulous beaches to visit around the island, secluded coves and more commercial beaches. The mountain is well worth a trip to the top for the views and there are some beautiful monastries to visit. Lassi is a good base from which to travel.

Lassi has plenty of bars and resturants to choose from
the best resturant we found is phedpha the food is very
nice and the waiters ect are so friendly .There are some
nice beaches in lassi but you can see lots more of island
if you hire a car.viskardo is worth a visit the journey
is a bit hair raising around the mountins be warned but
well worth it when you get there some nice resturants to
also agosotolli is the island capital worth a visit to .

A great little resort with lots going on. We have been to Kefalonia 7 times and stayed in Lassi for 5 of those. There is plenty of choice for dining in the resort, with some great Tavernas. They are also Greek nights in Oscars( just on the outskirts of the resort ) with fab food and also Zorba's on the main street( food not so good )
For a great view of the sunset, visit the Trentis bar and enjoy a drink while you watch the sunset. Plenty of supermarkets, selling all the usual holiday stuff and more.
There is car hire, which I would thoroughly recommend to get around this beautiful island. Lassi is only a short distance from the capital Argostoli, which is a must see plenty of bars and chic boutiques, and catch a ferry from the Harbour in Argostoli, to visit the resort of Luxouri.
There are several lovely beaches in Lassi, all worth a visit. We liked the Makris Yialos best with the really comfy sunbeds and without blaring music, although there was music in the background. There are watersports on this beach for anyone interested and also a decent place to eat and drink.
We have travelled all around the world and will always return to Kefalonia, the island of dreams.

Lassi is a fantastic resort & Kefalonia itself is a beautiful island.The resort is clean with plenty of Restaurants, bars & Taverna's to choose from. The local beaches are sandy and the sea is crystal clear.We will definetly be coming back to Kefalonia.

The room was clean when arriving and it was cleaned every other day with clean towels and bed linen.
The resort is fairly quite if there was noise at the local bars it be finished by mid-night.
The beach was lovely and had crystal clear water, and fish would swim around your feet.
I would go to Lassi again but would like to stay somewhere else, the locals are very freindly do anything to help if they can.

Lassi is great for familys, plenty of Tavernas & bars with a golden sandy beach offering water sports for everyone.

Lassi is a low key resort with loads of good restaurants,not much in the way of entertainment did notice a club in Argostolli,a short taxi ride away.The beach was clean and well served with beds and parasols water sports and at least one good restaurant.
There is a Chinese at the northern end of the resort much publicised in the resort,don't bother,stick to greek.
Lassi/halkidiki will be somewhere we may well return although going back is not something we are prone to do.

We found Lassi very clean and the beaches were lovely, we even found a little beach for ourselves! The restaurants were great and were good with food allergies etc. The entertainment in Lassi at night was not really for young people, unless you like casio organ magic, but it was only mid June and we were there for a relaxing holiday with lovely scenery and that is what we got! We would definetly vist again, but for 2 weeks this time. We would recommend to anyone to hire a car so that you can explore the island, it is truly an amazing place.

Even though Lassi is a purpose built tourist location it does not give that impression. The layout of accommodations,restaurants,bars and shops give a good selection to choose from.There are several beaches to visit locally of very good quality. The local people are friendly and eager to help holidaymakers make their stay enjoyable It would not suit the 18-30 party going person.

Man made resort built along the road to Argostoli. Plenty of tavernas,supermarkets, and small boutiques. If you are going to Kefalonia for the nightlife, don't! The island is still very Greek but is starting to get a bit more built up.
