Lassi brilliant resort People friendly. Entertainment great.Beaches and scenery fantastic.Great organised tours and also good reasonably priced local bus service around islandKefalonia is a beautiful island. This is our second visit to Lassi and we will definitely visit again.

My wife and myself booked self-catering on the island of Kefalonia at the Thekla Studios Lassi Kefalonia through ‘Brockmans Travel’ Herne Bay branch, (they have branches all over the southeast). The service from them was 1st class and hassle free from the minute we booked until we arrived back in the UK very brown and relaxed. They booked the flights, the apartment and the car parking at the airport, they even recommended the apartments as they had customers before who said how nice they were.

We booked two weeks, last in September the first in October and the weather was perfect. The Island is a dream, (very mountainous although the views are magnificent) we have been to Greece before, Rhoades and many years ago Corfu. Kefalonia is different from both, very laid back, (then most of the island are) had some great trips out, (glass bottom boast was great) and hired a car and toured the island.
Both my wife and myself would thoroughly recommend the apartments and the Island.

We found that there was a lot more rubbish alongside the road since our visit two years ago. Overall the resort is very good with lots of tavernas and bars.

The resort is very centrally placed to visit any other part of Kefalonia. It is also within 20 minutes walking distance of the capital, Argostoli. There is a lovely 2 hour walk along the coast to Argostoli. The beaches are also sandy and gently shelving compared to Scala beach where the beaches are shingly and deeply shelving. There are quite a number of tavernas lining the main street through Lassi and always entertainment to be had in the evening if you wanted it. Definitely a good place to stay.

Lassi, Kefalonia - We did enjoy our time here. We stayed for 7 days and feel any longer and we would have been bored. There are plenty of restaurants to choose from, all pretty much the same really. There are about 4 supermarkets in Lassi, we tried all of them throughout our stay and found Supermarket Vageleti to be the cheapest.
Hiring a car is a must!!!! the island is small and the roads are simple. We had various days out in different resorts - We found paradise at Myrtos Beach - Greece's most famous and photographed beach - Getting there features as one of the top ten drives in the world. At 110 Euros for 4 days for a brand new Ford Fiest with Air Con - you cant really go wrong.

Lassi is a small resort with nice tavernas all around It is ideally located near Argostoli the capitol. You can stroll into Argolstoli in 25 mins ( and I mean Stroll )You can get everywhere on the island from Argostoli on the bus. The bus service on Kefalonia is second to none.

Lassi is very nice place for a relaxing holiday. There are no night clubs hence no groups of 'Singles'. The beaches are very nice with no one trying to sell you CD's etc. , & there are enough Restaurant/Bars to suit everyone,(although we found the prices quite high !). The locals are very friendly & it is a very safe area to walk around at any time of night or day.

Many bars/restaurants line the main road. There is an internet bar/cafe 2 mins walk from the apartments for those that cannot be parted from the www for more than 5 mins. I highly recommend eating at the Sirtaki restaurant. Best value for money (average price of a 2 course meal with 2 drinks was 30 Euro) and the staff are fantastic!
You can get a 5 Euro taxi from anywhere along the main road into the capital Argostoli. However we preferred to walk the 15 mins (to burn off excess Moussaka!). You will need to go there to get cash from Cashpoints. It is also a great little city to peruse shops... or the harbour front/footbridge (if you are lucky you will see the huge turtles!) Argostoli is relative cosmopolitan! (therefore a little more pricey than the resorts)
You can walk to Argostoli to Lassi or vice versa along the pretty Finari Road. This will take you about 2 hours (so take plenty of water). There are watering holes along the way though for the feint hearted. Along this road you will pass the Kavotheres (bottomless water holes) which is strangely located in the centre of a trendy bar/club (big name DJ's play there for the trend-setters... Lou Vega this week, David Morales had been a few weeks back). You also pass the pretty lighthouse and if you dare a steep hill on a hot day - the touching memorial for the thousands of Italian soldiers who were slaughtered by the Nazis during WW2.
Organised trips are available around the resort - there only appear to be 4 that everyone sells (including all the travel reps)

.. can't remember the other. Island tour was good fun. Couldn't get on the Boat BBQ as there was only 1 boat for the whole island.. that every one was trying to get on. If you are desperate for this activity, you should see if you can book it in advance before you go! :)
All in all - very relaxing pleasant stay. You can't get around by public transport very easily from Lassi. Car rental from F.Choice is cheap (but you also have to drive on those hairy roads!) 4 days for 150 Euro.

The strip offers fantastic food with each offering its own unique take on food at very good prices. Service was always excellent. Just bear in mind that the Greek take their time and it is very relaxed, there is never a rush so be prepared for a delay for the bill etc. This just adds to the relaxed nature of the place.

The beach is located a short walk from the main strip making it about a 20 minute walk in total. Located along towards the rocks was a great place for snorkelling with hundreds of fish to see.

We decided not to spend a great deal of time on the beach except the evening snorkel but decided to explore the resort on foot.

A short walk around the road that heads towards the capital (costal route) are the most stunning hidden coves with crystal clear water.

We decided to walk this way to the capital Argostoli via the lighthouse. This is about a 10k walk so be warned.

The capital is fantastic. A number of times we flagged a taxi down on the strip and went to the Square. A short walk is the harbour, which is amazing. A footbridge joins the harbour to the other side and is well worth the walk. About a 10 Euro return taxi fare.

The Square itself is great for evening meals.

(Please note we didn't go to any BBQ nights or excursions thus the 3 rating).

The best thing I can say about this resort is there were no pushers, no illegal’s selling squeaking ducks and no hassling on the street to get you in for a drink. Also there are no football louts, no England shirts and no teenage girls swearing.

We stayed in Spilla just outside Lassi. There are some lovely beaches in Lassi, we particularly liked Kamalaki beach {hope i spelt that correctly], it was quite and had cheap sunbeds. the sea was lovely here ideal for snorkling, with little caves and coral beds.
Sritiki resturant was out favorite place to eat [and we tried plenty in two weeks!], but i would give Oskars a miss.
