Tip the waiters ,they deserve it.
With checking in after midnight lost a days holiday holiday having to check out early on last night 11am then all day to wait for night flight home would be nice to be able to check out end of the day

The night life around the hotel is is good and the bars are very friendly in particular Bocaderos, Veloise, and fat mans slims which is run by a man from england called Ray who is a a true gentleman and always welcomes you, as do all the bar staf really. Ixia is a lovely place with plenty of things to do but a bit of advice if your booking day trips, you save a lot of money if you book your tours yourself and not through the rep we booked ours through a company called Sigma travel which is opposite fat mans slims in a shopping mall well worth it and its door to door service, the trip to Lindos by coach was well worth it. In closing i would go back to Ixia again but would choose another hotel

Lots of building work is taking place in the resort, so beware of the huge holes in the pavement, covered by pallets and the telegrah poles in the middle of the walkways !
Not much to do outside the hotel, other than the standard holiday restaurant.
Went out 1 evening into Rhodes Old Town and paid 160 euros for 4 adults and 1 child and the food was no better than a pub. Do not eat in the Old Town, go to the New Town much cheaper and better food as this is were the locals eat out !

Ixia's shops are mostly supermarkets,restaurants, with a few jewellers and skinny people clothes shops. The best shopping is in Lindos or Falaraki.The beach is pebbly with rough seas, ideal for water sports, not for a relaxing dip! There was not much entertainment in the resort. Hiring a car to see the Island is best.

We only walked through the resort during the day. It was clean and quiet as it is the beginning of the tourist season.
The beach is mainly pebbles but clean with lovely blue sea and views.
Would visit resort again for a quiet, laid back holiday.
Only downside were the English on their scooters trying to fool you into some sort of timeshare with their scratch cards but whichever resort you seem to go to you dont seem to be able to get away from this sort of thing.

beach was appalling with rubbish everywhere even with a refrigerator and an oven dumped in the sea

We have been too Ixia a few times before it suits us but don`t expect golden sandy beach it is very shingly but very clean.
If your are looking for excellent food and service go to Alexandros in Ixia, George and Ann run a very nice restaraunt which you will definiely return too.

The resort is clean,but what came abundantly clear is that local bar owners and restauranteurs are clearly sufferring from the all inclusive hotels that are springing up.You are easily apotted by your wristbands and they are quick to tell you.The truth is the drinks in the A/I we stayed were watered down and undrinkable,so at least the bar owners will still get business.We spoke to people who went to Rhodes Town who highlighted the same.If you are into water sports you will love this resort in particular wind surfing.

We did not see much of Ixia but it was mostly supermarkets, eateries and sovenior shops that we came across! We paid 8 euros to go into Rhodes town by taxi (each way) which has much more to offer.

Ideal location if you dont like it too busy and within walking distance to Rhodes town just follow the main road.
The beach was ready for concreting with a layer of hard core already in place.

This place is excellent,very clean ,friendly,a short walk to the shops but plenty of supermarkets near by.
The beach has shingle stone but once in the water sand.
we organised our own trips rather than thompsons, 1/2 the price.
Try not to be conned by the touts handing out scatch cards for a freee holiday in a new hotel complex being built in ixia waste of good few hours!!
