The Marianthi is a lovely place to stay if you want a no frills, exactly what it says on the tin style accommodation.
We stayed there for a week in the middle of May. We weren't expecting much for what we paid but we were pleasantly surprised.
We arrived just before dawn after a long transfer from the airport and were very happy to see that there was no fuss around checking in, keys were in doors and we just made our way straight to the apartment.
The rep told us we were in the new block which we were quite happy about as we'd read some reviews saying that there was sometimes loud music from the Eclipse bar but our apartment seemed out of the way of any possible noise.
All apartments seemed to have a sea view which was fantastic. Some reviews mentioned it being 'up a hill' or a bit out of the main resort but its really more of a slight incline and you'd have to be pretty lazy to think that the 2 minute walk to the main strip of bars/tavernas was any kind of distance.
The pool is lovely and big and the whole bar area is clean and there's a section with comfy sofas which we spent a few nights sitting on playing cards.
The staff are all really friendly and helpful the only thing I was quite surprised at was that toilet roll wasn't supplied in the rooms. The rep told us this was standard for Greece but we'd never encountered it before. No complaints about anything else, we'd go back again with First Choice anytime.

One week was not enough, the room was basic, but all we used it for was showering and sleeping. Staff were great and so friendly. They really went out of thier way and made a fuss of children. The pool is spotless with plenty of sun loungers and parasols. Bar food was good for afternoon snack or breakfast. They even have inflatables by pool that anyone can use. It is less than 30 seconds away from main street but you would not know it as after certain time music in bars is reduced to minimum. Would recommend to anyone. Only one thing for some strange reason they do not supply loo roll so pack one to get you by, until you go supermarket.

i went with my mum and dad for a 2 week stay at the marianthi and it was great!! We have never been to rhodes before so it was a nice welcome. The staff were so funny and the food was fab!! we had heard that the place was very up slope but it was fine for all of us and the music from the eclipse bar was loud until around midnight so it was nice to listen to it on your balcony for a while before a nice sleep and of corse the beds arnt as comfy as your own but at least your waking up to sunshine!! pefkos is a lovely place and i would go back there 100% but i would try a couple of other hotels but would go to the marianthi and visit!! p.s i recomend the ice cream!!

We stayed at the Marianthi studios for one week and found our room (6) was basic and not very clean which was surprising as at arrival the pool and pool area were the opposite, its not a place we would holiday with our kids as there is nothing to keep kids/teenagers amused after dark except a pool table and a television. If you are a couple who do not intend to eat in or spend a lot of time in your room but just sunbathe/swim during the day and eat/drink out at night then Marianthi is well situated and fit for that purpose. The staff were helpfull and polite but proffesionally reserved. Snacks/drinks from the bar were nice and reasonably priced, pool was large and inviting with a small kiddies area and there were lots of loungers surrounding the pool. As a couple we had a relaxing week in a chilled out atmosphere and would consider going back.

Room 22, arrived 5.30 am to find no towels, toilet paper not provided and a room that needed a good cleaning. Standards in these apartments are not as good as they could be e.g . sockets falling off the walls, rep got an electric shock trying to get the hairdryer to work. Air con would not work and at 100 euros per 2 weeks a waste of money, we were lucky and got a refund and rep gave us a fan. Pity about the rooms as the pool and bar area spotless. Time to smarten up these apartments and do quite a few repairs to bring them up to a safe and clean standard.

When we arrived at 5 in the morning there was no toilet paper and we had to wipe over all the work surfaces in the kitchen area and the bathroom as they were extremely sticky. After a short sleep we realised the apartment [no 12 ] needed some maintanence on it main light in second bedroom/kitchen never worked all week the shutter on main bedroom window was stuck and could not be pulled down this had been happening at least 10 times over the last few months and by the end of our weeks stay the toilet broke totally after having problems flushing it all week.
Our main complaint was not with the apartments but with the terrible loud music blasting out from the 3 nearby bars the main culprit being the Eclipse which played deafening music until 1pm every night.
We were told this was a quiet and peaceful resort which it was during the day but at night it was horrendous and we would never go back again.

I found the Marianthi Studios to be typical of Greek self-catering apartments. They're a few minutes away from the restaurants, shops and bars of the main road.
The views from the apartments are great - right across Pefkos to the sea. The swimming pool is also very good - large for a "hotel" pool.
What spoilt these apartments for me was the Eclipse Bar which they overlook. This played very loud music until 1am each morning which meant that I could never get an early night or peacefully sit outside on the balcony in the evening or night.

We loved every single mintue of our holiday!!
This is a lovely hotel with extremely friendly staff.

we all enjoyed our stay at the marianthi apartments. the room was clean, spacious and well maintained by the maid service with towels changed regularly.
our room had a fantastic view over the pool,which was beautiful with plenty of sun loungers, and then to the sea, and from what we could make out every room had this same view.
the staff were unbelievably helpful and hardworking as they were up at dawn and still serving us at the bar well into the small hours always with a friendly smile and attitude.
the bar was great with a full selection of snacks and menu service.
although lacking formal entertainment there was the friendly bar, a pool table and everyone had a relaxed attitude towards each other which encouraged plenty of chat between parents and children alike which was plenty of entertainment for us.
the apartments are a stonesthrow away from the main street with ample restaurants and cocktail bars to suit all tastes, all child friendly.
the main beach was sandy and the water was shallow for a hundred yards or so which meant the kids could play safely. just down the road was another beach with rocks near the shoreline which our kids loved as they could snorkel over them and see all types of small and large fish.(even i ventured in to see, and it was amazing!).
as we all left the brothers who run the marianthi made a point of coming to everyone and saying goodbye with a warm smile.
my overall opinion of our stay at the marianthi is that it was to date the most relaxed and best family holiday we have ever had.
