On arrival we thought the hotel would be noisy as it is close to the town centre, but we found the hotel very quiet. Our room was always kept very clean and our balcony overlooked the pool.
The staff were very friendly and very helpful. We didn't eat at the Thai Restaurant which is part of the hotel but we were assured the food was very good and it always looked good.

The Mira is a 1* hotel and you are in India. Having said that, the cleanliness, the staff and the location are excellent. We travelled as a party of two couples over 40 and we had a fantastic time. Would definately go back to the Mira for a great value for money holiday, where you are made to feel very welcome. We shed a tear when we left (the ladies) but will return soon.

Hotel good but would be better without Chinese restaurant as you couldn't get snacks during the day like last year and couldn't chill out round pool in evening as they start to pack up sunbeds for tables to be put out making you feel uncomfortable.

This is a basic hotel but very clean- everything changed every other day.
The beds are rock hard though
Breakfast is just tea and toast but theres plenty of choice near enough
We did have a problem with a small bar just up the road playing music til 6 in the morning but they happily moved us as soon as they could.
Great watching the families next door- their dinner always smelt fab
The resident dogs are very friendly.

I found the Mira to be very clean, the staff are friendly and helpful and the Oriental restaurant is excellent.
I really enjoyed staying at Mira and would recommend it to anyone.

The dogs (3) are still in residence but are not a problem and are very friendly.
The beds are rock hard.
There is an excellent Thai restaurant attached to the hotel.
The hotel and its rooms are cleaned every day, the room linen is changed every other day.
The bar is open 24 hours but is not a noise problem.The hotel overlooks waste ground on either side on which bonfires are often lit by local residents causing smoke and smell pollution !
If you just want a bed for the night in a central location then the Mira is fine.

We have visited Goa for the last 5 years usually staying in Candolim.
We decided to try the Mira based on feedback from this site. We were not disappointed, the hotel was situated near everything and was very clean.
The resident dogs were friendly and no trouble at all. The staff were all very helpful and nothing was too much trouble for them.
We have previously stayed in higher rated accomodation but the location and way we were treated on our stay have lured us back and we will be returning in Nov 07.

Thought it was the worse hotel I have ever stayed in did not like dogs copulating in dining area or sleeping in lobby with staff sleeping with them.
Wouldn't go to Mira again but the hotel across the road is ace the Sila Goa staff are dressed in uniform (clean) not like the Mira.
No dogs on site and rooms cleaned every day at no extra charge and for the better quality it would have worked out an extra

We stayed at the Mira for 2 weeks holiday.
We were greeted with flowers and drinks when we arrived.
The staff and management made us very welcome.
Breakfast was tea and toast but if we wanted anything else it was no trouble for the cook.
Rooms were basic but cleaned daily to a very high standard,bedding and towels changed daily.
Whilst there we were in an accident and had to stay in the hotel for the rest of our time in Goa(12 days). The staff were so helpful to me and my family we couldnt have asked for anymore.
Great location everything you want in walking distance, so a big thanks to the staff for looking after us so well.

i and my sister found the mira hotel excellent i have visited goa 18 times andhave stayed in variose hotels in calangute over the past 10 yrs .staff very friendy none intrusive very helful when you need it and especialy the waiter who would make us a flask of tea to take up to our room every night before going to bed . we loved it will be staying there again
