The resort was spotless. As for entertainment, we were there in the off season so not much was going on.
The beach is sandy with very few pebbles. Miles of sand to walk on.
We will definitely be going again to Jardim do Vau but next time it will be for more than 2 weeks

The resort is really clean with miles of golden sands that are cleaned every night but beware of the steps that lead to the beach they are very steep and can be a little unnerving going down and tiring coming up.
The entertainment is quite good with discos open till 6 for the energetic to nice quiet little bars for the more laid back.
There are all kinds of good quality restraunts to visit so theres no chance of going hungry.
It is a resort i will visit again without a doubt

Prai Da Rocha beaches were excellent, very large, very clean and safe, One beach had a life guard, good parasols, sun beaches all for 10 euros for the day for 2 beds. Other parts of the beach are cheaper or you can use your own parasol or towels. Tons of good restaurants, bars down the main strip, also cheap tacky tourist shops (kind of pound shops) There is also a big casino. If you are on the beach level like i was, the shops and restaurants are 95 steps up to the old fort, if you at upper level it is 95 steps down to the beach. There is a big and good gispy market first monday of the month at the back of the Tivioli Arade Hotel / The Marina. (It's massive and very cheap Every thing is 5 euros almost)
The town of Portimao is also very good, lots of shops and restaurants along with water fountains everywhere including the main shopping road where they just come out of the pavement.

The hotel is located in the new development area on the river shore, so it has nothing to do with the Praia da Rocha overbuilt atmosphere, but should you like to visit it or go for bars and discos, you're a mere 10 minutes walk from there

Dind't enjoy this resort for the simple fact there was nothing for our 3 y/o to do. I mean nothing.

The rooms were cleaned daily by a group of ladies who did a great job.
There is no entertainment or food.
It is a 3 minute walk to the beach.
I would return to this aparthotel.
