We only stayed at the hotel for 3 days as we split our holiday with the Esmerelda hotel. This I was quite relieved about. They kept the rooms lovely and clean but I could not stand the smell of sewarage that came through the bathroom nightly. They just put a air freshner in the bathroom which did nothing. We spoke to some locals who told us they are having problems of this nature at the moment. I did not enjoy the food and did not find it typically Spanish. It is only a 2star hotel and this shows in more ways than one. The location was excellent. Cannot fault that. The staff did there best but only found one female member of staff that was friendly whenever they saw you. We had a bad experience at the hotel and because of this we would not stay there again.

Canfali is a good value for money hotel. If you go there dont use Resort-Hoppa transfers as they drop you 1/2 mile from the hotel use a taxi. The views are great from seaview rooms. The food is awful. The staff are excellent.

We were booked to stay at this hotel, our booking had been made 6 months due to arrival. On arrival at the hotel we were told they only had 1 room out of our 3 available, the rest were double booked.
They wanted one group to stay at the hotel and the rest of us to go to another on the other side of benidorm. We told them they either moved us all or get our rooms, after several hours of disagreement they eventually moved us to another hotel, were we had to pay extra for to stay there, not that we minded as the hotel was 4* the food was great, we would have spent that extra on eating out.
When i got home my bank statement came and the hotel had charged me for our stay, I am still fighting for my money back yet (150 pound). I would not recommend this hotel to anybody.

We have stayed in this Spanish Hotel 5 times, which have all been fantastic.
The food is typical Spanish food which is all buffet style salads, soups and a good selection of main courses are available. A bottle of wine is free with every meal you have along with a bottle of water. Pedro the head waiter speaks good english and is very friendly.
The location is wonderful and if you are lucky enough to have a sea view and a balcony you couldnt ask for a better location.
There is no entertainment at this hotel and no pool but that is not a problem as there are two beaches to choose from and loads of bars with entertainment.

This must be the best hotel in Benidorm if you want a taste of real Spain, whilst being able to enjoy the benefits of Levante.
The Canfali stands in the square, on the cliffs, overlooking the beach bang in between Levante and Poniente.
The hotel was all Spanish tourists whilst we were there, but that was OK as I was enjoying improving my local language.
Excellent outdoor bar area overlooking the sea. The rooms are good, we had a balcony room with brilliant views and the sun from first thing till about 3pm. The hotel is spotless, maids are excellent, towels changed every day and bed linen every other day.
Food average, but with the old town outside, we would recommend bed & breakfast as the staying option.
The cost per room was amazing.
We will not stay anywhere else in Benidorm from now on.
Oh yes, forgot to mention the bells. The Canfali is next to the church and the bells ring and chime every 15 minutes from 9 - 9. You get used to it.
