this was the fifth time we have stayed at this hotel.
we have allways gone in june before, but no differece at the ending of season, all clean and freash.
the food was in ample supply in the buffett dining room.
the staff as allways friendly and helpfull.
ample sun beds,(never been in peak season so would not know then)
the only down side for some people would be the slight hill from the beach area of calella.
would go back to this hotel any time

Hi,
My friends and I stayed in Hotel Mar Blau and we had the best time ever, the staff are very friendly, the hotel is very clean and i would reccomend this hotel to everybody.
The rooms are basic but comfortable and with them being fully airconned it makes everything worth while.
We really enjoyed staying at the hotel and we are coming back next year with more of our friends.

My wife and I stayed in the Hotel Mar Blau for 9 days early May 2007, and we can highly recommend this establishment.
The reception staff were friendly and accessable 24 hours a day, and nothing seemed a problem.
Rooms were extremly clean with an adequate sized balcony. Rooms were serviced daily by friendly, cheery staff, and they would always return later if the time was inconvienient.
The food was self-service and the choices quite amazing. A huge selection of main courses and sweets. If you like your bacon and eggs for breakfast, no need to miss out at this spanish hotel, they were available every day. A most organised restaurant here.
A good sized pool and lots of sun loungers and table outside. Waiter service excellent at all times. Drinks reasonably priced. Chairs in bar not the most comfortable, but a seperate lounge area near by.
Two interent terminal near reception which are coin operated. 1 Euro for 12 minutes, 2 euro for 24 minutes and 3 euro for the hour.
Entertainment during our 9 day stay had Flamingo dancers, Spanish singer, Dance night and a disco. Generally entertainment every 2nd night. Not too many English holiday makers when we stayed, mainly Spanish, Polish and French.
2 lifts service the 7 floors which can be busy at the start of meal times.
'Noddy Train' every half hour stops at the Hotel President next door to get you to the centre of calella (1.25 Euro single or 1.95 return)
A first class hotel with everything you need near by. You won't be dissapointed staying here.

On arrival, staff very helpful and friendly, and stayed that way all through our stay.
The hotel was clean in all areas, all of the time.
Maid service every day, linen changed every three days towels daily.
24 hour reception, hotel felt safe and secure at all times.
The dining room was clean, and air conditioned, tables were cleared and re-laid very quickly.
The food was excellent and varied, being on a half board basis you could change your evening meal for lunch, which we did on a couple of occasions.
There was such a choice we never knew what to have, quite often we had to try a little of everything.
The least puddings that where on offer was 10, my husband had 6 one night, we definitely put on weight.
The location of hotel is about 250 yards from sea front
and up a slight hill, the main shops are about 200 yards away.
The entertainment programme runs over two weeks. Looks fairly varied, but when we were there it was interrupted by the world cup, and the Spanish fiesta of Saint Joan.
The hotel had put up decorations for the fiesta, and there was a party also with cake and champagne for all.
We enjoyed staying at this hotel, and will return next year.
