As soon as it was night time, it was a different story, as our room faced a night club on the main road, the music BLASTED till 05.00am every morn even with the balcony doors closed, the noise was still bad. We have a eight year old daughter and were angry as the reception knew that before we were appointed the room. We complained to reception the next morning only to be told there was no available rooms to move to but we could have some EAR PLUGS if we wanted I also complained to our rep who said she could move us on the following Saturday but as we were leaving on the Sunday that was no help at all.
The kids club was closed and that was because they had no one to run it??????????
When we got home I had to bring my daughter to the doctors , he said she had picked up numerous affections from the pool, I was given three types of medication for her including ear drops and skin cream we had booked to go to Egypt, but with the bomb scares we changed it...how I wish we never did. Will def be going to Egypt next year!!!!!
The food was not very nice at all; in fact I lost weight while I was there as I lost my appetite.

We were allocated 2 pool view rooms as soon as possible which were lovely.
We were dissapointed to find out that you had to pay for your sunloungers by the pool, as this was not mentioned in the brochure.
The breakfast was basic but the evening meals were great.
10/10 for zico, nino and kaka for their hard work everyday, and also for bilel who was great fun.
Teenagers will love this holiday as it is lively and their is snooker and pool tables in cheers bar.
We were very lucky as we met lots of lovely people on this holiday. A special hello to Georgie, Tom, Justin, Connor, Kieran, Shannon, Carl and everyone else.

Maybe it was due to the room being at the front of the hotel instead of overlooking the pool, (around which the entertainment was going on) but the apparent noise issues raised by previous reviewers was never really an issue as far as we were concerned.
The entertainment team really put in a lot of effort, especially for the kids, whom it would be fair to say the entertainment is aimed towards.
There is a section of beach which is for Bel Air guests which is lovely, and has its own 'Bel Air Barbecue' which provides drinks and snacks throughout the day. There was an organised evening on the beach with a sit-down meal/barbecue, music and break-dancers! This was by far one of the best evenings we had.
All in all, we cannot really complain, the hotel was comfortable and perfectly adequate for our needs, the staff (especially the bar staff) were helpful and friendly and we had a wonderful holiday.

Quite nice inside (looks quite posh),
The pool was really good very big and a good pool for children.
The hotel entertainment was okay but the hotel staff tried there best. They played bingo every night spoken in about four different languages so it went on for ages. Marks of 4 for trying.
The hotel was a bit out of the way of everything and we had to get taxis to the current shopping places which were quite nice. It was only about 3dinar about (2.50) in our money which was quite cheap, trouble is they all sell the same thing from stall to stall ha-ha.
The food was quite nice at the hotel quite a lot to choose from the puddings were lovely plenty of selection.
Get your henna tattoos on the Bel-air beach the lady that comes around is much cheaper and last just as long.

Cleanliness:
apart from one cocroch who greeted me on arrival in the allocated room at 3am... hotel was very clean but a bit "messy" in a way "disorganised" at meal times in the restaurant.
Hotel Food:
was ok but not a big choice really (copmaring to other hotels I stayd in while in Tunisia that is). I did not like not having "my own" table for the duration of my stay and found very often that there were free tables but they were not being set up fast enough (clened up after previous dinners) etc etc, generally a bit sloppy waiter service in the main restaurant to be honest
Hotel location:
is a really tough one to mark. On one side the location is absolutely fantastic with a small supermarket at the end of the little road (cheap cigarettes, water etc), British Bar to one side and Havana and Latino bars on the other with Las Palmas and a "Pub" directly on the ground floor - that is great if you are after partying all night, perfect. On the other side - if you try to go to sleep before 4-5 am, that may be difficult with the noise (music on full blast) coming in from ever direction. I personally like music, party, drinks etc but I like to chave a choice of when I want/can go to sleep. At Bell Air I did not have any choice with the constant noise. I would believe that pushing it, 2 am would be reasonable (for me) but to have this till 4-5 am EVERY night was a bit much for me.
Other that that - right in the middle between Hammamet Yasmine and Old Hammamet. Short taxi ride either way will take you to completely different parts of Hammamet, enjoyed visiting both of them.
Not right on the beach but about 5-10 minute walk - not a problem.
Noise (music) till early hours was a BIG problem.
Hotel staff:
main restaurant waiters a bit disorganised, reception fine, maids fantastic, generally very good staff.
Entertainement:
Went on the terrace twice only and personally found it quite boring, geared towards kids mostly. Have not used to pool (had a pool view from the room but prefered to go the beach) so can not comment on day time entertainement by the pool.
Generally - I would go back to Bell Air but taking some ear plugs with me next time :)

The entertainment staff were great fun, Nino, Zico and Kaka made for fun and entertaining days and evenings.
The comedy and Drag shows were a laugh, audience participation is a must.
Food was good and plentiful with a choice of about six main courses, with salad and soup for starters.
The Madina was not to my or my wifes liking (people to pushy for our tastes). The walk back from the Madina along the beach is a must.(About one and a half hours).
The beach was cleaned every day, and the beach cafe served cheap and tasty food.
Overall a very good holiday.(Already booked for next year).

The room we had was overlooking the pool which was quite nice it was very basic but spotlessly clean the towels and sheets e.t.c. were changed every day ...we where on a half board basis.
The breakfast was not too impressive but you can cope with it just. The night time dinner was better and you could allways find something. The meals that should have been hot were. The sweets where very good(ate too many of those). The hotel was about ten minutes walk from the beach and there where plenty of taxis about and cheap to hire.
The hotel staff in the main were very pleasant there is allways the odd one who can not be bothered but no problems.
The entertainment staff worked very hard and were always about if you wanted to be entertained.
Whilst the holiday was value for the money we paid we would not return to this hotel.

Everyone recognised us soon as we arrived and we were given a free round of drinks in each of the bars we were in. Had a good room overlooking the pool although one of the lifts developed problems so it was a bit of a climb to the third floor at times!
Food was a bit disappointing as they catered for grown-ups with not a great deal of thought for kids, and one night we ate out as my daughter saw little to tempt her taste buds. They do put a lot of work in but little thought it seems to who is eating it, as not everyone wants to sample the local cuisine and a lot of people do wish to eat similar food to back home.
Bar staff were tremendous, Milad in particular deserves a special mention - live your dream, mate! Pool was kept clean by the hard-working Said.
The Entertainment team worked hard and did their best and being amateurs then credit is due. There are two bars attached to the BelAir, Cheers bar and our favourite, the Liverpool (or Las Palmas) Bar.
Enlish lady runs this, very well indeed it has to be said, and the food/drink is superb (all-day two beers for the price of one, 9pm onwards two spirits for the price of one, thumbs up here!).
Friday nights in there you have a Professional Drag Show which is fantastic. The Entertainment team in the hotel run one also on a Friday but as we'd seen this four times, and took part once, it was time for a wee change.
Had a fantastic week in superb weather.

The food was more than adequate and catered for most tastes.
The entertainment team were friendly and deserve medals. They are not professional but put their hearts and soul in to it.
Chambermaids were efficient and spent that little bit of extra time to make your room feel like home.
Spa and indoor pool are clean and well kept. Well worth treating yourself to a massage but certainly not for the more retiring person! The indoor pool is really warm.
You can change money at reception at any time of day or night so don't bother doing it at the airport on arrival.
Immigration is a pain in the neck! It took us over an hour to get through and at the time we were going through only two planes had landed! I dread to think what it is like at the height of the summer.
