I was dreading this holiday after reading some of the reviews on this site, expecting hoardes of noisy, badly behaved children led by a bunch of half wit "entertainers". However it was absolutely excellent, apart from the loud music late at night, it was a very quiet relaxing place.

Everything spotlessly clean, apart from the poolside loos, which to be fair were old and needed replacing. Towels & sheets changed everyday.

For a 3* hotel, the food was excellent, lots of choice for everyone. The majority of guests are English or Irish, so they try to cater to our tastes, most dishes were familiar. Soup or huge variety of cold salad type buffet to start. Then around 3 main courses, plus a fish and pasta dish, with some type of potato, rice or couscous and veg. Deserts were lovely, lots of different gateaux & cakes, fresh fruit. Plus as it's all buffet, you can have as much or as little as you want, my husband frequently had seconds of everything.

Breakfasts were very repetitive and there was no fresh fruit, which was very disappointing.

All staff very pleasant and helpful, all speak excellent English, with the exception of the night time reception staff, but you can still understand each other.

As it was the last week of the main holiday season, the animation team were winding down. They still did the bingo & various night time events, ie belly dancer, snake charmer, quizzes, transvestite show etc. Again, I thought that we would avoid these like the plague, however they were all just harmless fun. They aren't professional entertainers, just kids trying to fund further education. They work very hard to try to make sure everyone has a good time, although Nino was a bit taxing after a while.

My only complaint is the loud music which comes from a late night bar/dicso. The week we stayed the majority of guests were retired or middle aged couples, so we could not understand the need for the racket into the early hours. It must be frequented by holiday makers from other hotels, although we never visited it, so don't know. Even so, we still managed to sleep through it mostly.

The pool is quite big, although it was very cold at this time of year, but the indoor pool was lovely and warm. Our 5 year old loved 10 pin bowling, although it was not cheap.

Also the weather was absolutely lovely. Considering it was last week in October, temperatures around 80 every day, but fairly chilly in evening, so at least it was not too hot to sleep. Only around 7 hours of sunshine, dark by arond 5-5.30pm. It was also Ramadam, however this did not effect us at all.

We had a very nice relaxing family holiday, would certainly return to this hotel, but only out of season when it's quiet, as I'm sure it would be hell in the main summer months.

The hotel was excellent, very clean the maids come into the rooms everyday and clean and change your towels and then they make pretty shapes with them and the covers.

Hotel food very good plenty of choice but if you want typical English food then this is not for you.

The hotel is situated in a nice place and not too far from the beach, it is only a 5 minute walk.

A short taxi ride to the medinas in Hammamet and Hammamet yasmine.Hotel staff are very polite and very helpful.

Entertainment staff especially Nino are fantastic he is the crazy boy himself, and you have never heard bingo been called out the way he does it.

I would definately visit this hotel again thanks to Nino, KaKa and Zico for making it fun all day long.

We have just returned from a fortnight at the Hotel Bel Air and we are homesick for it. This was our first trip to Tunisia and we loved it so much we have already booked to go back next year. We have booked back into the Hotel Bel Air.

The hotel is very clean, the rooms are cleaned every day, the towels changed every day and the sheets approx every 3rd day. Your bed was always made beautifully, with little flowers and your own towels folded into a lovely swan. My daughters cuddly cat had a flower placed in its collar. All the cleaning staff are very pleasant and very honest and trustworthy. Every room has air-conditioning included in your price.

The half board food was totally acceptable. We must admit that the breakfasts were a bit repetative, (and the toaster took forever!!) but it is so cheap to buy the odd breakfast elsewhere that we did not consider this a problem. The evening meals varied every night of our fortnight stay, we expected to be eating the same food after the first week, but it did not repeat itself. There was always at least 3-4 meat choices, a pasta dish, fish and a vegeterian option, usually with a choice of boiled potatoes, mash, chips or rice. My 5 year old had no problems with any of the food and we were all well catered for each night.

The location was spot on. Just a stones throw from the beach and the exceptionally cheap water sports. A short walk to a few local shops, restaurants and nightclubs. A taxi, costing no more than

I would not go back to this hotel it was not like it was advertised. It was dirty. I do not go away with high standards as you would in our own country due to the fact that this nation is not a rich nation. But the over friendlyness of staff towards younger children would be classed as something totally different in this country but they get away with it

The food is disgusting I went down every night for the week I was there and I ended up going elsewhere for food.

I will not be going back there.

The hotel was excellent we were a little concerned before we went as we had heard different reports, but the hotel was great and very clean rooms cleaned everyday and towels always changed.

Food was very good and there was always something for you to eat. The kids also were able to choose from what was available.

Entertainment good kids loved the mini disco and Nino really got involved with the kids every day.

We would definitely recommend this hotel for families.

The food at the hotel is the worst I havve tasted. There was absolutely nothing that kids would eat some evenings. We would have been better sc as we ate out most days. The breakfast was not worth getting up for.

The standard of cleanliness left a lot to be desired. I am sure the towels were not washed but only dried.

Hassled as soon as you went down stairs for camel trips. boat trips, photos on beach. We found the staff arrogant and only interested in money.

The entertainment was very boring and repetitive. Bingo every night which takes 30 min for one game. Mini disco 30 min. Staff don't seem to understand that some people like a quiet holiday and don't want to hear "Water Polo" screamed at them while sunbathing. In fairness the enetertainers did try hard but it was boring after 2 weeks.

We had to be moved room as we were above Las Palmas bar which belted out music until 4am.

It is in quite a bad area and there is nothing to do and don't feel safe going out alone. Jasmine is near by and seems like a differn't world compared to the Bel Air area.

It was our first and last time in Tunisia and felt the constant hassle from locals too much. The males at the hotel are leeches and only interested in British woman for money and visas. Any age, shape and size seems to do.

Toilets at the pool are used for inapropriate purposes during the night. This holiday was a total waste of money.

I have just returned home 2 days ago, we stayed at the Bel Air and had a fantastic time everyone is so friendly. I miss every one already and have booked to go in October.

You do get hassled by the men in reception to book camel and boat trips but after all they are just doing their jobs and trying to make a living and they are really nice.

The hotel is very clean.

The food is very nice a varied selection.

I can't fault the hotel in any way. The music is loud but it does say in the brochure that this is a lively hotel so if you want a peaceful holiday stay clear as this is not the hotel for you.

The entertainment is ok the kids love it and the entertainers Nino, Kaka, Zico and Kimo also Ghaza and Moez.

I stayed for two weeks the staff were arrogant and the food was disgusting the only pleasure I had was the one knowing I was going home.

My husband requested gluten and dairy free food they told him he could have the veg but the veg had dairy on it and the plate of grilled meat they brought him as soon as you cut into it, it had blood running out.

The toilets leaked (do it tomorrow is the responce we got). The water even ran yellow sewage all though I constantly asked about the food and another room they just did not want to know.

You are woken up every morning with the court jokers screaming water polo.
And you will be confronted by cockroachs when you use the loos.

The balcony alive with red ants they give me a can of spray to kill the ants.

My view this hotel is not a 3* I would not give it a 1* I feel sorry for the people that say that it was nice I have photos to say its not a nice place to go to so don't waste your money.

My husband says this hotel is like the prison from film midnight express. You will also be talked into paying to reserve your seats to go home but believe me do not fall for it half the plane was empty.

Catering is for the French and Germans there is plenty English bars serving food though.

Myself and my friend stayed in the bel air in 2005 and the best bit about it was getting back on the plane to come home. We were told this was a 4* hotel I would say 2* would suit better.

The food was awful we starved for 2 weeks. our room was unihabitable and our so called rep did absolutely nothing to help us. I demanded that our room be changed and our rep told us to wait in reception to see what she could do. We sat in reception from 6am till 3pm dressed in jeans and jumpers as we had just arrived.

At 3pm I had to go and try to get us another room myself as the rep did not bother to come back until the next day. I would never travel with panorama again as I was totally disgusted with the way we were treated.

I must say that the second room was far better. The bel air is surrounded by discos and nightclubs which go on till 4am or 5am in the morning so if you like your sleep dont bother to book.

The entertainers were very friendly and helpful but the people that sat in reception trying to sell excursions were very persistent and pushy so much so that we tried to avoid walking through reception area.

Would not stay in this hotel again as I have been to Tunisia several times before and know how great some of the hotels are.

I will state again that the panorama rep was the most unhelpful person I have ever met and I will never use the company again.

Our holiday to Tunisia has been the best by far! We would definitely go there again and stay at Belair hotel! We made a number of friends with all the staff at Belair hotel and they made our stay wonderful.

We stayed there for 11 nights and our only complaint was it was over to quickly! We wanted to stay there forever but unfortunately that was not possible!

We had fun participating in most of the pool activities and at night Nino,Sam Ghazzi and co. gave us the biggest laughs ever, with there entertaining shows! We will be visiting them all again soon and we highly recommend you stay at Belair hotel! We miss all our friends back in Tunisia and we hope to see them all again soon!!!!!

Bye Bye love Crazy Girl and Nino's Wife xXx p.s u can tell we made friend with the staff from the names we got given from them all hehehe =)
