On arriving at 05:30 in the morning was told by the receptionist I must pay 20 pounds deposit for my wristbands, on getting to my room is was claen but quite small, but the shower did not work.
They tried to fix this for 3 days before we got out room changed,altho the shower now had water it was only hot between 16:00 and 17:00. The food was normally cold and always chicken, there was not much choice, altho the deserts were quite nice.
The entertainment was not very good, bingo and karoke which it took them 6 entertainers to organise. No where sit inside at night time, when it was cold. This hotel is definitely not worth the 4 star it has.
I would only go again to this hotel, if I got it as cheap as I did this time around.

Not long back from La Luna, and had a ball, the hotel was nice, rooms were cleaned every day, towels and bedding were changed most days. Food was typical all inclusive, salads, rice, bread, soup etc. There is a great mexican next to La Luna, out the front of the hotel, up the hill to the left, you cant miss it, fajitas and nachos were great, you wont be dissapointed.
Entertainment wasnt great, we went out else where most nights (but it was the start of the season).
Air condition was great in the room, you could put it on timer, and control the temperature, with the remote.
Pool was clean but not enough loungers, reps said they had a 30 min policy, where if your lounger is left unattended for more the 30 mins, they will remove your towels (but we never seen this happen once). We used the la luna beach loungers which were fine.
The hotel advertised Internet, but there was no access we went into gumbet for internet access.
There is a hotel being built next to the hotel (but currently no work being carried out, and they say they dont work during the season)but make sure your room doesnt look on this it as its not pretty, if you ask for a room with a pool view, you will be fine.
The only real problem we had was the loud music all day, from 10am the music is really loud, especially when the water aerobics is on, the only time the music is turned down is at lunch time, so if you want a sleep go at lunchtime, or take earplugs.
All inc drinks finish at 11pm prompt, then your expensive drinks will be charged to your room, and you pay on departure. They only let you have 2 drinks at a time, so you cant build up your drinks.
We booked a lazy day cruise through the rep (

Arrived into Gumbet at 5pm pulled up at la Luna and the first thing my partner said to me was you best be joking me!!!! Nothing like the pictures in the brochure. For one there is a building site right next door, the hotel looks as though its just been dumped on a dust site!
We booked in to la Luna with only one man speaking very little English, I had paid extra for a high floor and pool view but when we arrived at our room we were on the ground floor over looking a dreary dusty play area, so I went to complain and was told if I wanted a high floor there would only be a double bed and the little girl would have to sleep with me and my partner or my partner could carry a single bed up 3 flights himself!
Tea time came and if you are vegetarian you will love it as all it is, is salad, salad, salad or aubergines and couscous. The little girl would only eat cucumber and carrot [along with a load of others!!]
They do not cater for kids at all as all the families found out! We ended eating out all the time. The drink was given in tiny little glasses and we were told by our rep not to get more than one round at a time because they get angry and the drinks are watered down that no matter how many you had you could never even feel even slightly tipsy.
The entertainment was absolute rubbish, how any one would employ them I do not know it only lasts for an hour if that [thank god]the only two positive things about the hotel are the actual hotel and the staff especially the waiters.
If the hotel was in a different position and the staff were there too [except the chefs and entertainment!!] it would of been a beautiful holiday, I would never go there again in fact I arrived home at 9am and went straight out and booked another holiday to recuperate.
