This trip was a fab experience, the hotel seems to be Irish only.
The staff were fantastic,the best I have ever encountered! rooms spacious and spotless. Location couldn't have been better!
There is no Budget rep on site which was a pity but you can book excursions on site. Do not miss the turkish bath!!

The apartments were spotless, and we were lucky to be on the second floor so not so many steps, the food in restaurant not so good but only minutes walk to main area for nice food

One of the best apartments we have ever stayed in, everything was spot on.
The only complaint we heard of was the ammount of steps to a lot of the apartments as there are no lifts, but fortunately that didn't apply to us as we had one of the apartments overlooking the pool.
Air conditioning has been installed in recent years and is excellent, 70euro for 2 weeks and a fan is 30 euro for 2 weeks.
Everywhere is spotless, the owners live on the premises and are always working in the shop which makes the difference.
All the staff were lovely and work enormously long hours.
Little to no entertainment; but this again was to our tastes.
Quiet location but still only a 7 min. walk to the centre of Gumbet.

Second visit to Gumbet will go again next year but not to these apartments.
On site restaurant had the worst food I ever tasted .
Beach was at the bottom of a steep hill.
Accommodation set out in tiered blocks so noise was amplified especially heels on the steps all night long, and because there were so many steps people preferred to shout to each other rather than climb the steps and speak face to face. Our friends had to climb 163 steps to their apartment not very good if you forget something.
Finally the reception staff there were two guys there on alternate shifts and it was like Jekyll and Hyde one guy was really nice and helpful the other one was the rudest most aggressive person I have ever meet plus they charged us for a broken icebox that was already broken. Our own fault for not spotting it when we moved in.
PS first time ever travelling with Budget travel will never make that mistake again but that's another story

Quite simply the best accommodation I've ever stayed in.
The highlight of this holiday were the staff.Everyone of them were very friendly and couldn't do enough to help.
The facilities are excellent in particular the amount of sunbeds available at the poolside as there were than enough to go around.
The standard of cleanliness was superb,each evening a team of workers came and cleaned the whole pool area as well as washing down each sun bed.The standard of the food at the poolside restaurant was quite good.One point of note is that the rooms don't have air conditioning which can make it uncomfortable at night(however fans are available for hire at reception)
Overall I cannot rate the Poseidon highly enough and I have already booked a return visit this June.
Finally,I need to mention two restaurants which are a must,The golden China and Seray Turizm.The food in both are exceptional as is the service.Both restuarants provide a free taxi service to and from your hotel/Apartment.
