we visited these apartments in august 2009 had a really good time the apts are lovely and the pool is brilliant the staff are lovely and helpful. when you arrive you have some essentials in your room like water milk tea coffee biscuits everything was gud thats why we cant wait for this august when we return for 2 weeks and if that wasnt good we have booked 2011 for 3 weeks great.

We visited these apartments last year and were shown a fairly large apartment - we booked 2 as our children are teenagers and space was an issue. On arrival at 2.30 am we were put in 2 very cramped studios at the very top of 4 flights of stairs. My husband couldnt stand up straight in them. Showers were not attached to the wall and there were exposed wires in one of the showers. We were eventually moved the next day after complaining. However, from then on we were treated as outcasts by the owner and her assistant.
After a few days a party of 21 arrived and took over completely - towels on sunbeds at 6.00 am - general shouting to each other from poolside to balcony, foul language constantly and non-stop Elvis played all day!
Entertainment was a joke - only ever music from 60's and 70's, karaoke, quiz night etc.
Staying at these apartments was like staying above a pub in Barnsley, only hotter!!
Towels were threadbare, and sheets, although clean were stained on occasion.
Air conditioning was good, although has gone up in price from what we were told last year, and no discount for 2 weeks.
We were told by another couple to check our bills - I did this the next day and found that 10 lira had been added to our bill of 39 lira - a 25% mark up. We heard of several other people who found these errors - funnily enough always in their favour!!
Will not be staying here again.

we have stayed here for the last 7 years and would not have done so if not as perfect as it really is. the price of the accomodation is an absolute steal concidering its ideal location and the standard of cleanliness and the food is of the highest quality. the the staff will literally bend over backwards to cater to everyones individual needs young or old where ever possible they have always been fantastic whenever we have been there and try to promote a happy atmosphere. the whole experience of this county is unique including the entertainment so dont expect las vegas as it may lack a little but its turkey.we love it and would not hesitate to return there or promote icmeller and the travelers rest try it and make your own mind up.

this is our 2nd time in turkey and travellers rest, the start of many more! a fantastic place to stay,not only for the cleanliness and upkeep of the rooms for example maid in every day and towels and sheets changed every 2! there isnt anything the staff wouldnt do for you,all very friendly and helpful. the entertainment not everyones cup of tea, icmeler a beautiful place with loads of bars and restaurants, 10 out 10 for food quality and quantity, there were 21 of us and we had a ball involving all other guests and staff in our fun..well the ones that wanted to join in, will definately be going back cant wait! love to all we met and see you next year!

My family have stayed at the travellers rest for the last two years and will be again this year, Chris and Ramazan are friendly people who welcome anybody that stays or visits the restaurant. I would recommend these apartments to anyone. The staff are friendly and you are always laughing while around the pool or in the restaurant of an evening. The locations is a 5min walk to the bech and the food id fntastic. My main reason for writing this is I have to ask a question, I have mislayed the details of the apartments as in the phone number and email address and was wondering if anyone could help me out, I would be very greatful. thanks Sharon

Chris and Ramazan who own Travellers Rest apartments are the most welcoming people you could ever meet, we have known them for 9 years now and have always been treated extremly well by them. The apartments are beautiful, clean, spacious and welcoming. The pool is gorgeous and just what you need when it is scorching hot! I can not understand the comments from the previous review as i know personally that Chris and Ramazan would help all they could if anyone had any problems. Everyone is entitled to their opinion but i really have never experienced any of this.As for the large party arriving, i know the staff especially Mehmet would have asked them to turn down the volume and stop the swearing if it was that bad as they want everyone to enjoy their holiday. All the staff are friendly and will help you with anything. Has for the overcharging on the bills again i have never heard of this happening before. I have stayed in many places in Turkey and i can honestly say Travellers Rest Apartments are the best i have ever come across. I'm due to go in September and will certainly be returning year on year, again and again.

well i can say me and my family where the first people to stay in theses apartments when chris opened them had a brill time and loads of fun ,,, so we went back and can honestly say was a little shocked as wasn the same i was put in a basemant room which didn bother me as had little one with me but what did bother me was shower head hanging of shower every room seem to have this problem ,,, also more safety could be done round pool as my auntie who is in her 70 s slipped twice on tiles something should be done about this also there should be a rail going into pool for safety reasons as the steps down in to the pool are very slippy and sharp cut myself a few times on these ,,,,but other wise food is brill never got ill once ,,,, very clean maids very helpfull ....did get sick of listening to same music day in day out will be going back to icmeler again but think will be looking for some where else to stay just cos of safety and rooms need more up keep as dont excpect to be stood in shower with no head on shower

Well, what a fantastic time i had there. I went with my best friend and her family. All the staff were so friendly it's unreal. I couldn't put one wrong word in about them. The food was lovely and the apartments were great. I just want to thank you all for what a lovely time i had and whenever i get the chance i will definitely come again :)

these apts were very clean and well equipped; there was a balcony at both ends of apt either to people watch or overlook pool.maid came in daily,sheets and towels were changed every other day.staff very friendly and helpful.plenty of entertainment in adjoining restaurant.we have booked for august 2009 cant wait.
