My husband and I stayed at the Iberostar Ledra Beach for 7 nights from the 25th April 2006. The look of the hotel is great until you see the rooms! The rooms do need updating but it was clean, comfortable and big enough for the two of us. The receptionists are not the most friendlist of people either.

The animation team really worked hard and were a credit to the hotel, as were the waiting staff in the main bar.

The food was fantastic, it was all buffet style and there was plenty of choice. It was all piping hot unlike other All Inclusive hotels we have been to.

There were plenty of sun loungers outside the pool area and the beach area but it wasn't full season and can imagine it may be a problem in July/August.

All in all I would stay at this hotel again if I got a reasonable deal.

Three of us stayed here early March.

The hotel is well situated on the beach about a half an hour stroll to Paphos harbour.

The rooms were slightly antiquated, the bathroom mainly, but were very comfortable especially the six foot bed. The room contained all that you needed, heating/air con, mini fridge, TV, hairdryer, although I would recommend you take your own. Cleaned to a high standard and linen changed regularly.

The food was outstanding,we did not have one complaint. A tasty variety for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The food, always hot and not overcooked.

The entertainment team tried hard to involve everyone, although not everyones cup of tea. They do have a job to do and do it well.

All in all a good break with a bit of decent weather.

Just returned from an excellent week at the Ledra Beach. The hotel was in nearly every respect superb. Excellent facilities, good 'just out of town' location.

Amazing variety of food, including huge choices for non-meat eaters, and even a daily Cypriot speciality included amongst a belt-stretching choice of hot and cold meats, fish, vegetables, salads, breads, sweets etc.

Staff super-friendly, rooms super clean, snacks/drinks, if not all-inclusive, a bit pricey. Lots to do organised or not, the team works well. Tip: smart casual dress in dining room, and don't overdo the sweaters, it's a bit hot. Will go again.

The rooms, staff and food were very good and no-one could have complained. However, probably because the hotel was only about 40% full. The meals/snacks at the Pool Bar at lunchtime were totally unsatisfactory for a four star hotel.

We went to the 5 star hotel next door where there was a much better selection and cheaper, as were the drinks. Also next door the "Happy Hour" drinks were half price compared with 30% off at the Ledra. Otherwise there were no complaints.

We have been to Cyprus 5 times now and it is unlikely that we will go again, but if we did we would stop nearer Paphos Harbour

Went for a week in December and we had great weather for the time of year.

This is our first stay in the hotel and we will be coming back! A 4 star hotel that in a lot of ways is far superior than some of the 5 star hotels we have stayed in.

I disagree with some of the people here about the entertainment, it was some of the best I have seen and we have been seen a lot on our travels. The entertainment team are the most friendly I have come across, they seem to come across that what they are doing is not only very enjoyable to them, that they would all do it for no salary either! The evening entertainment was great, very funny and kept everyone happy for the night, maybe not everyone's cup of tea but it was certainly ours so well done to the team.

The food was once again better than most 5 star hotels, fantastic choice and to the standard of which you would expect in a top class restaurant in the UK.

All hotel staff are friendly and very helpful.

The only thing that stops this hotel from being 5 star are the rooms. They are small but comfortable and quite basic with small balconies, but you only use it to sleep, wash and get changed so if anyone comes on holiday just to stay in their room then this is not the one. However the rooms are always tidy and kept clean everyday.

All in all a fantastic hotel, fantastic holiday, many guests were staying a month over Christmas and I normally want to come home after 2 weeks on holiday, but if I had a month in this place I would be more than happy.

Excellent, enough said!

This 4* hotel deserves a higher rating. On arrival our cases were taken to our room while we were given a complimentary orange juice while we booked in.

The room was spacious with twin beds together maiking a 7ft x 7ft bed, Towels folded as swans made a special welome along with 2 small bottles of wine and a basket of fruit. Although the balcony is small we were glad of it and as we had a free upgrade to side sea view we made the most of the sunsets.

Some guests complained about the TV but we were in a foriegn country and found the mix of Greek, German. French and English channels entertaining, the pay-per-view can be blocked on request.

The room was cleaned daily and if inconvenmient the cleaners were always happy to come back later. To make the lights work remember to put the key fob in the holder just inside the door.

The food...what can I say, breakfast was wonderful even down to the Champagne. Every taste is catered for and the show cooking area was where you could get your egg cooked as you wanted or fresh omlettes cooked to order. Dinner was no different, of course the menu goes round every 7 days, most do at home as well, but with the choice available you could stay a month and not repeat your meal.

Tables are set for two, so if there are 4 or 6 of you you just fill more tables. We liked this idea as by sitting close to other couples it helped to break the ice and we made many happy aquaintances during our stay.

The pool areas are clean and attractive with bars and snacks available, one pool is for adults only and whils I like kids it is nice to get away from them now and then.

The beach is small and has some rocks but even in November I tried a dip...cold but worth it. Water sports are there in season. There is also a heated indoor pool.

The animation team are....well....animated, yes its cheesy but what do you expect, its good fun and they work really hard from early morning to well into the small hours.

There are a lot of Slovaks ? on the staff and they all appear to like their jobs and always greet with a smile both guests and each other.

Its nice in the evening not to have to queue at the bar waiter/waitress service with a smile and a dance when the music is right is the order of the day here. The Brandy Sour is not only very reasonable priced but quite addictive.

From the start to the end of our holiday we were treated as not only guests but friends, we will definitely be returning to the Ledra Beach (although I hear they may be changing to All Inclusive only).

I'm sorry to make such a long report on this but I cant emphasise enough how good we found this hotel.

I should finally mention the location. This hotel is just outside the main resort. It's only a 15-20 minute stroll along the beach path to the harbour.

Just opposite the hotel is a supermarket and bar, and just outside is a car/motorbike/scooter/even invalid scooter hire shop.

The bus stop is within 25 metres and costs only 60c or 70c to the harbour or old town, Just catch the No.10 or No.11.

Stayed for 2 weeks. Took us 2 to 3 days to settle finding out about hotel as no info pack given. Rooms were of a very basic standard but you only spend a short time in them.

Loved the grass area as we took a small child very good area for beach front pool areas kept clean.

Entertainment team work very hard in the day but evening entertainment is the worst I have ever seen
food in plentiful supply in all different areas and good quality.

Hotel were very obliging to warm up some of our food for baby 1 year old, even if restaurant not open this was an excellent service.

Some guests were older and I think this may have been an adults hotel prev and were not too welcoming to children being in the hotel!!

We have just arrived back from the Ledra.
What a lovely hotel. We had a full sea view room with a queen size bed, well worth the extra.
The food can only be descibed as wonderfull especialy the champagne with breckfast.

The staff are very freindley and nothing is to much trouble for them. The entertainment staff work very hard all day long and as we did not wish to get involved they would just sit and talk and not be to pushy.

We had some photoes of our new granddauhter E mailed to the hotel & the general manager took me to his office and personaly printed them for us(hows that for service).
I could go on and on but the best thing to say is fantastic would recomend to anyone.

All 38 of us stayed all inclusive for a family wedding.

Hotel immaculate, food absolutely amazing, location good and staff both friendly and helpful.

Evening entertainment a little under parr but to the fair the staff made up for that during the day with the pool games etc.

The Ledra Beach is situated in an ideal location. Just far enough away from the town but within walking distance along the beach.

The hotel is very clean and the food excellent.

There is a wonderful selection served as buffet style and food for all tastes. People were piling their plates high and I saw hardly any waste.

Hotel staff are very friendly and kept their cool dealing with difficult customers who were complaining about small matters.

The entertainment team work really hard and trying to get you to join in. If you don't want to they don't try and make you. There were good fun and spent a lot of time with the guest.

Evening entertainment is in a small smokey room so most people just stayed in the lounge areas. We would definitely visit this hotel again.
