Have just returned from the Los Zocos appartments, with my husband and 2 year old. the hotel was average, nothing too fancy, but was comfortable.

The appatment was fine, we stayed block 3, which was clean and comfotable. just watch out though, because I had a top go missing from my room, and i spoke to some friends that we met out there, and they had things go missing too from their room. I spoke to the rep about this, but just said that she would get back to me, but surprise surprise, she didnt.

Overall the holiday was a good one, the food was nice, but did get a bit repetitive. I would recommend going to the El Boulevede, next door, as the food there is a lot nicer. the staff at the hotel were very friendly, and were great with my little boy, and the entertainment team deserved medals, they worked their socks off.

Just got back from Los Zocos and had a brilliant week. Was a bit worried before going after reading some reviews but can honestly say was best holiday ever!

Apartment was in block 3 and very clean. Cleaners came in every other day and changed bedding and towels.

All staff at the complex was really friendly and animation team was great they worked so hard.

Food was excellent with a great variety at all meal times.
Nice selection of drinks but could do with more, was a bit upset couldn't have Tia Maria or Pernod unless paid for but plenty of others to select from, including cocktails.

The only thing that did get me a bit mad was people getting up at silly times( 5-6 am) to put towels on the sun loungers even though this it not supposed to be allowed it wasn't stopped.

Entertainment was good especially for the younger children. I could see young teenagers getting a bit bored in evening though as not enough for them, although my 11 year old loved it.

Went on the island trip and highly recommend it had a great day out, as we did at Rancho Texas and the reps cabaret night.

All reps were really friendly and helpful

It was definitely the most relaxing week I have ever had and would recommend it to anyone.

We have already booked to go back next year!

Oh did I forget to mention we had worms crawling out of the tiles in the bathroom,maintenance came and put 3 bottles of ammonia down the plug holes and toilet,it didn't get rid of the worms,but did make us ill!!!

Also we found a cockroach graveyard under the settee,nice one cleaners!

We had a great time here and cannot fault this hotel. Only one problem and that was the room we were allocated when we arrived, right next to the entertainment and unclean. We were moved the next day to block 3 which was a big improvement with pool views and from then on the holiday got better.

Food was fairly good and catered for most needs though we did have better food in the boulevard and would recommend trying it.

Entertainment was excellent for the younger children (ours were 5 + 3) and they really looked forward to going there. The entertainment team worked hard and there was allways a mini-disco,10/10 for that.

Our children made plenty of friends and we met a lovely family which really made the holiday.

There is a problem with sunbeds,not enough to go round,so we had no choice but to do what everyone else did..get up at the crack of dawn to get one.

Recommend hiring a car for a few days,location not brilliant so it was nice to visit other resorts.

I would definetly consider booking another holiday here in the near future and would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel to friends/families.

The rooms are filthy.

Food is very repetitive, some of it is left overs from the previous sitting.

Reception staff are very ignorant and at times couldn't understand English [yeah right!]

Animation team were fantastic, they all work extremely hard.

First Choice reps were a waste of space.

Our holiday was fantastic. The hotel was very clean and the food was great!!!

The hotel is located in a very good place 2 minutes walk from the beach and just across the road from the shops.

The hotel staff were quite friendly and the entertainment was the best I had ever had in a hotel.

I would definately go back to the hotel again next year.

Just got back from a two week stay at Los Zocos.

We too were a bit apprehensive before we went after reading some of the previous reviews, but i am glad to say our worries were unfounded.

We had requested rooms in block 3, which we were given next door to each other.

The apartments were spacious and very clean, maid service was adequate and much the same as any of the other apartments we have stayed in, in previous years, clean towels at least 5 out of the 7 days of the week.

We ate breakfast in the Mirador, lunch in the pool side bar and evening meals in the Boulevard. We found plenty of choice and even the veggie who was with us was catered for especially by the Chinese Chef who would cook a vegetable stir fry on request.

One of the children was a poor eater so her mother bought some chedder for the pasta dishes and the english waitres, Tamara, would grate a dish full every nite for us.

The entertainment in the Aquamarine bar was far from proffessional, however the entertainment team worked very hard and tried their best.

We tended to stay in the boulevard or go for a walk along the prom to a british bar for the music quiz.

Could go on for ever and ever, but I wont, will just say we had a fab two weeks and would definitely go back to Los Zocos again.

Just come back from los zocos had a brilliant time one of our best holidays ever.

Pools were clean but cold but it was very hot and was great for cooling down. Pool area was clean pool was cleaned every morning and there was no need to put towells on a sunbed theres plenty for everyone!

Food very good and drinks too plus ice cream all day.
Activity team were great especially rene, claire and zuki..they were great with the kids plenty of activites for all to do if you wanted to.

Bar,restaurant and reception staff were really friendly
stayed in block 2 no problems with cockroaches and we were on the ground floor.

Had a 2 bed apartment it was huge with a large terrace that over overlooked one of the pools
astro turf football pitch where they had adult and kids games. Crazy golf. Evening entertainment was ok hypnotist show was hilarious!!

It is a bit like Butlins but in a much nicer location away from miserable and cold uk!! so thats a huge plus!

weather was excellent very windy but was a welcome wind as temps were 100 degrees by the pool !

Very pretty complex with lots of palm trees around the pool areas too. Would highly recommend and would def go back to Los Zocos again.

Please dont be put off by some reviews,they made me weary and I wished I hadnt read them all thought I would be invaded by cockroaches..not at all!

These apartments were brilliant and would definitely go back next year.

The animation team were really really good especially Clare and Rene they had everybody doing something hope your there next year when we return.

The food was lovely had a wide variety of choice even for the kids.

The hotel staff were excellent especially the bar staff they worked really hard and the cleaners were very friendly and kept our room spotless.

The entertainment on a night was brilliant it varied for adults and children, the animation team had a mini disco for the children every night.

Could not fault the place at all.

Can't wait for next year.

If you are expecting anything more than a Butlins in the sun you will be disapointed.

Amenities are friendly but basic, food was alot better than expected altough was slightly repetitve with not much choice for children, table staff in the El Mirador resturant were very friendly and made a fuss of our children aged 3 and 2 years.

Not a great deal on site for the kids to do, and we had a 11 day stay but were bored by day 9!

We were going to put our eldest child in the kids club, but at the welcome meeting when the kids reps took the kids away and brought them back at the end of the meeting, they had allowed our child to just wander off unchecked before the end of the meeting, and only looked for him when my wife asked where he was.

We did go on 3 excursions whilst at the hotel, the reps again were very unhelpful and were just eager to take the money, allowing us to book an excursion that was not really suitable for our two young children. The brochure given to all new arrivals detailing excursions details that ages 2 - 12 are catered for on nearly all excursions, this is not true.

The three excursions were:
1. Jeep Safari. This was an excellent day made good the fact that our children behaved so well, but could easily have been a nightmare. NOTE this excursion should not be for children under the age of 6, but the brochure says 2 - 12!! When booked with first choice no mention was made of what the day entailed or enquiry as to how old our children were!

2. Rancho Texas Animal adventure. Advertised as the best day out in Lanzarote. Again, brochure details that ages 2 - 12 are catered for, and not so the reality, far too much hanging around between shows, again nothing to do at the park for children under age of 6! More of a glorified zoo and not a good one at that.

3. Submarine Safari. This was the best of the excursions and our children loved it would recommend.

Overall we enjoyed our stay but would certainly research the excursions better next time before parting with hard earned.
