Carpet grubby and stained on arrival-room v basic but classed in UK as 4*. No hot water except two evenings and one morning - made numerous complaints-offered another room on 3rd day - water no hoter so declined.
Breakfast acceptable, but dinner inedible-tried it the first evening and went to look 2nd evening to see if it was any better-it wasn't.
The internet photos(although looking round hotel one can see where they are taken from) do not show the hotel as it really is and for 2 days my husband was convinced we were in the wrong hotel! - it was so unlike the photos I'd downloaded.
The location was not as we had expected from the photgraphs. Manager never available-reception staff did their best to placate matters-but it seemed they were powerless to do anything except write it in the book.
Young chap at reception apologised when we left for the difficulties we'd had. Quite the worst hotel we have ever stayed in!

This hotel should be demolished.
I am well used to basic accomodation but this place borders on the ridiculous. Electrical points hanging off the wall,shower water not flowing away and pouring into living area,fungus on the tiles in the shower room. Broken glass in the balcony area, a large pane of glass in the pool table area had a piece missing and the rest of the pane had very little securing it in place(lots of children playing in this area.
The windows look as if they have never been cleaned in years. I could go on !! i dont think the curtains have ever been taken down and cleaned,they were filthy. The food was disgusting and we ended up with food poisoning. the staff were at times not interested in helping you.
We stood for ages waiting on our safe key while they were nattering away. There was no entertainment on at the hotel.
I can assure you that I will never again set foot in that hotel.

The Hotel is split into two parts, 1-2 and 3-4. I stayed in 1-2.
Firstly when you arrive you might be put off by the shabby looks on the outside, however you will find the rooms are kept well clean and tidy and are of reasonable style although people who were staying 2 star rooms complained of the wc over flowing and were hardly kept clean.
If you go during high season be aware of night long raves which kept me and my family up until the early hours, my husband complained to the staff who went to find out where the noise was coming from. The staff then called the police who told the club owner to turn the music down.
The was a good selection of food although be aware of holiday makers from other countries as they took deserts back to their rooms and there was hardly anything left!
The pool was excellent, although it may be near a main road you don\'t really hear any traffic.
The location is perfect, the hotel is a short 5-10 minute walk from the beach, there are plenty of shops, bars and restaurants but you have too look around a bit for a supermarket as there aren\'t that many. There is a \'Noddy Train\' that stops right outside the hotel and will take you to the other end of the resort where there are even more shops, bars and restaurants.
Make sure you visit the water park it is brilliant fun for all with the best seed slides, make sure you get a taxi there and don\'t get the water parks bus service there as it was full by the time it got to our bus stop.
Overall there holiday was fairly good, oh and if you go with Balan Holidays maker sure you eat something in the airport as the food on board was terrible, it was basically a slice of ham and cheese with some bread!

We stayed in Park continental and would not recommend this hotel to anyone. We stayed in the 2* section of the hotel which was not fit for dogs, filthy toilets with mould on the walls, disgusting showers, unclean beds with insects in them, the whole place was disgusting.
Food was awful, breakfast was inedible, this hotel would be demolished in England. Staff were rude and unhelpful and at times quite threatening, entertainment was nil unless you count earwig racing on your bed first thing in the morning. Our rep, when he was seen was a joke, he showed no interest whatsoever, the pool smelled like a sewer but was supposed to be cleaned at night??? Our pool view was actually a small wood, ok if you like the birds and the bees, but then again there was wasps nest on our balcony, if you class a piece of concrete 1 foot wide with 2 broken chairs a balcony.
If you want clean towels and bedding then go somewhere else because you won't get them here unless you pay the maids for them, then, they come from someone elses bed!!!.

Food was bad,edible but the look put me off,and it was always chicken.
How old the chicken was I dont know. Hotel was nice and clean. Hotel location was ok. Staff ok.
Entertainment,what entertainment ? Would not use this hotel again becaues of the food.

This hotel needs knocking down the hotel is worse then bad the staff are rude the food is that bad my dogs would walk away.
Rats around the hotel. Rooms that leak. The pictures I have to send people if wanted. It is that bad you will rather go to Blackpool as that is a 9 star!

Avoid this Hotel like the plague unless you are 4 star. We stayed here in September 04.
The place was falling to pieces and our 2 Star room stank. Our tour operators Balkan Holidays were ruled in court to be in breach of contract to us in respect of our 2 and 3 star accommodation they provided us at Hotel Continental. We even got something back for the food.
Our recommendation is to cancel your holiday here if you can or be prepared to pay out cash on arrival to change hotels as this one is unrepresentative of others in the Sunny Beach resort.

My first impression of the hotel that it is a very old hotel which has seen better days ,walking along the balcony to our room I thought, 101 things to do with pre cast concrete, on entering the room I found it modern and very clean with a lovely view of the pool area, the rooms were 3 star.
The room was cleaned every day and was always spotless, I had a look into a 2 star room and I have
To say I would not even put the mother in law in one.
The food I have to say was awful my ten year old son lived on melon for four days and although we were on half board we ate out most of the time.
The location of the hotel was well away from the centre but the beach was only a 10 minute stroll away.
The reception staff needs some happy pills.

My husband and I stayed in this hotel in 1981. We enjoyed Bulgaria then so wanted our children to see it so deliberately booked the same hotel (only 2* was available).
In 1981 it was basic, 23 years later it had not changed. By that I mean everything was exactly the same just 23 years older and more worn!
The rooms were tatty to say the least and the bathroom horrible and dingy. The staff tried to keep it reasonably clean but they were fighting a losing battle with the fitments. During a thunderstorm, electric cables came loose and fell on to the kid's balcony. The staff repaired it within minutes.........by taping it up out of reach!
Horrible although the hotel was, the food was even worse. We tried one breakfast and one evening meal but had to go to a restaurant afterwards as we just couldn't eat it. To be fair, the hotel was only ever meant to serve breakfast if my memory serves me right.
Would I go to this hotel again? very definitely NOT, it really needs complete renovation or demolition. Would I go to Sunny beach a third time? Oh yes, all 4 of us are going again next week but staying in a brand new 4* hotel.
Its a lovely place and the people are terrific its just a shame they are allowed to keep hotels (or parts of them) open well past their sell by date.

This hotel is very clean and tidy the only thing that was dirty were the receptioin toilets, they were smelly and dirty. The food was o.k. The food was cold in the hotel in restaurants the food was piping hot. It was very hot and we were npt far from the beach. Sunny beach is very good for kids the beach is watched by lifeguards. very nice people the only trouble is when you walk out you get mithered by bar people but it was really good afterall!
