Having just returned from the Planos Bay, like most folk want to be back. My kids are 16 and 14 and loved the apartments, the pool and the staff.
The rooms are very clean. The best thing for us was the fact that there were 4 proper beds...no pull down/out sofas. What a difference this makes when the kids are older.
Lee and the staff are very friendly and helpful (as are all the people in Zante).
We never stay around the place we are staying no matter where we go so can't say anything about evening entertainment.
One thing I have to mention was my late night chats with Tony who is the night porter. A local 34 year old who draws portraits by day. A few Mythos beers and we tried to put the world to rights along with a few of the other guests. Will definitely be going back sometime.

We went to Planos bay the middle of May so it wouldn't be too hot for the children as it was their first time abroad.
All I can say is what a fantastic holiday it was, I can't praise the hotel enough the rooms were clean the staff friendly and I would definitely go back.
The only thing I could say against Planos Bay was that the evening entertainment was basically non existent, they had the kid

Fantasic! Our first holiday abroad flying and wow, what a great place, we went with a wedding party and would recommend for anyone with a family. The only downside was that our 7 year old had a bad tummy that needed to be seen by a doctor, this was not down to the hotel. The staff were great and friendly, a very high level of cleanlness. Go for it!

Returned from Planos Bay a week or so ago and still wish we were back there. The weather was wonderful (in the late 20's to mid 30's centigrade evrey day. We cannot fault anything about this hotel. It was amazingly clean and if anything in the apartment did go wrong (eg our fan stopped working) it was sorted out on the same day that you reported it.
Our son is 5 years old and loved the swimming pool and attending the kids club. The kids club reps were all very good and there was always something going on that he liked, eg dressing up as pirates, making decorations for a kids halloween party that was taking place that night (yes we did go in August!!!!) and doing general things like painting, singing etc.
My husband enjoyed joining in with the daily volley ball and football matches. He even took part in the Planos Bay olympics! While I was more than happy to sit by the pool and sunbathe.
The bar staf were excellant, especially Memmis. Sam the hotel rep was very friendly and remembered most of the guests by their first names which all added to the "one big happy family" atmosphere in the hotel.
We would definitely go back another year.

first calss accomadation. we found the location excellent for a family holiday, and the cleanliness was second to none. everyone obviously works very hard.
Memis, Yannis, and Thespina, you are all"Top Guys", you make everyone feel so welcome and play a huge part in making people enjoy their stay.
entertainment good as the staff all take part.
we will definately be back, infact we have already booked for next year.

planos bay apts is the best apartmaents my family have ever stayed at. at the bar Memis,Yannis and Thespina were all the best they were a big part in our great holiday. Memis rocks he is such a cool guy. thank you to everyone for making our holiday even better.we enjoyed it so much we were home 2 weeks went into first choice and booked up for next see you on july 10th

We stayed in the planos bay appartments and were very pleased. The night entertainment was exellent and the staff and everybody there were friendly and made us feel very welcome. The pool was great and the hotel bar was fantastic! We will definately be returning next year.

apartments very comfortable..cleaned to a high standard. the pool bar had meals at prices to rival any in the resort. staff (especially the manager) were on first name terms with all the guests - and made a point of making you feel welcome. entertainment not to everyones's taste (not keen on being "organised" and "entertained" on holiday) also noticed "one to one" entertainment between member of staff and guest (not very discreet!!)

Was very pleased when we pulled up outside the hotel. The reception area was lovely, very clean. It gave a wonderful impression which was correct of the rest of the hotel.
We had a room overlooking the pool which was handy to see who was about and although we didn't get any sun on the balcony it was refreshing to sit in there occasionally out of the heat.
Have given top marks to the staff as they were excellent, remembering our names throughout the entire two weeks stay.
Only problem we did find was that in the day the entertainment reps were always badgering you to get involved in the pool games. Wouldn't have been so bad if the pool wasn't so cold.

Most of the rooms overlook the pool area which is very pleasant, theres plenty of beds and the bar/snack area serves great basic meals. Planos bay is very near the beach and close to all the bars and resteraunts. It was our first time in Greece and we found the food,weather and the people are wonderful.If you are a party of 3 at the Planos Bay however, be careful that you are not allocated the apartments in the 'annex', a former Reps accomadation that overlooks a busy/noisy road and is over a karaoke bar with a cafe vent-stack outside your front door. Entertainment was patchy but quite good depending on which rep you got. Air-con is only available in half the rooms. Staff are very pleasant and the cleaning is second to non. might return if promised a room adj pool.
