This place is a horror story.

We were a party of 4 adult ladies, Grandma, her two daughters and one granddaughter, so we booked two twins. Adjoining each other. But we didn

Having read all, yes ALL the comments about BHC I cannot understand why the much mentioned "Trevor" hasn't done anything about it! It really is a dump, dirty, cockroach infested as well as alive with ants.

I was a hotel worker for any years and always took great pride in my work. If I owned or worked at this place I would be ashamed to tell anyone!

I think an average of 9 out of 10 of the above reports hadn't a good word to say about the place.

All these people cannot be wrong. Stop bleating Trev.

Do something about it Trev!

The reception, restaurants, and bar areas were all very modern, clean, tidy and presentable. The terraced pool area with its two good sized pools (and splash pool) were well laid out and were always kept to a good standard of cleanliness. Additionally, having a separate kiddies pool is excellent, and on many occasions we had to tempt our daughter away from the pool only with the promise of a happy meal from the sea front. The entertainment was also excellent, especially Ifan (or Ivan), who was brilliant with the kids.

On a negative note, the room we had was very basic and gave the impression that it had not been decorated since its original furnish some ten years ago. The air conditioning made a great noise but that was the sum total of its usefulness. In fact we had no electricity at all in our room for a whole day whilst the AC was being "repaired". Despite breakfast being "up to 10:30", the restaurant was cleared of all food, cereals, tea and coffee around us at only 10:10.

I don't want to end on the above negative points, as all in all we were impressed with the BHC. So much so, that we are not only recommending it to our friends but we are also planning to stay there next summer.

I have stayed at the Buggiba Holiday Complex 3 different times over a 9 year period and I am just trying to work out what is going on. It takes me 26 hours to get to Malta from where I live and I have never found anything but total care, service and helpful staff when I have stayed there.

I guess I can't ignore so many negative comments, but the owners are a family-honestly-and I have asked them many times to assist me with unusual requests, which they have always done with the greatest of warmth.

The last time I was with a former partner and we had views over St Pauls Bay. Yes their neighbours were building right next door, but we were out most of the time (as you do when you are on holidays, especially if you spend 26 hours getting there).

As for the location - ARE YOU KIDDING!! It's not 5 minutes from the town centre, it is in the town centre! Thats the beauty of it - if you don't like that it might not be your cuppa. It's not 5 minutes from the sea - it's 5 seconds!! And if you go and look the same veggie man will still be there in the same place or close to (I have photos to prove it over 9 years).

Al the times I have been there (and I stay there every time) the place is clean as a whistle, with rooms cleaned each day etc. You basically walk in with a toothbrush.

Of course I would stay there again. I love it there! The desk staff will advise me on which rental car company are kosher, book a minicab fora dinner trip at night to Valletta and even help out with translations for messages in children's books I always take to donate to the National Children's Library in Floriana.

I heard another 'Sunseeker' hotel was being built in Malta but I had not put two and two together until reading it on one of there posts.

I am getting married in September 2005 and I wouldn't want to stay anywhere else. Perhaps the lovely owners, George Tonna and his family (I think Trevor is his son) will hopefully read all of these and take it on board. Because in terms of location, you just can't beat it for price. You can walk to 1/2 dozen night spots all around there, you can swim right off the the square and I always prefer self catering so as to cook the local cuisine using the local ingredients. But that's me. I would recommend if you are worried-call them. They really are lovely people.

Really enjoyed our stay here - Trevor runs a very smart operation and is investing a great deal in training his staff to a very high standard. We found it clean and comfortable apart from the mattress on my wifes bed - A word with reception and it was changed in a matter of hours. The room service was first class. The Pizza was fantastic - Oh that I could get one as good at home.
The trips out and about are a matter of taste- Swimming with Dolphins is not our scene but the place is steeped in history if you know where to go and - For anyone with an interest in art then St Johns Cathederal in Valetta is a must.

This is my 4th visit to the Island and to be honest it really is starting to look very dirty in some places. Bugibba, Sliema, Valetta are all still quite nice but alot of the other places are dirty with rubbish everywhere.Paceville looks like a bomb has hit it.

The Complex was okay but certainly not up to standard,it was grubby and our apartment was in need of decor.Air con was leaking, towels never changed and the pool was cleaned only once in a fortnight.Entertaimment was awful, not too great in the voice department.

We ate out around Bugibba and the food was great, good value and tasty.I would recommend La Stalla,Bayside and La Mirabelle all of which were lovely.

The people are lovely and always helpful.

We went on a turkish gullet on the castaway trip to the Blue Lagoon, fantastic day out cost about

Rooms at this apart/hotel are dirty smelly and infested with cockroaches(very big ones}.
Food I can only say thank god we ate elsewhere,
Location is very central in Buggiba and very noisy,
Staff were unhelpful and rude and entertainment was nothing to write home about.
I would not go back in a 100 years.
