sea view rooms were fantastic and well worth the extra. go half board as the food is great and plenty of it.

No beaches so you’d have to travel on the buses.
Great atmosphere on the evening in the square and most of the shops are cheap

Bugibba seems a little commercial - mostly apartments for time share. But there are still some very nice parts to visit.
Buggiba is hot and dirty but it is a great place to shop.
Entertainment unless you like noisy bars {forget it).
The only decent beach is at the top of the island for which you need a car.
