This Hotel is fabulous. The decoration inside and quality of finish are excellent, the rooms are huge and have great amenities.

Good pool, and things to enjoy, situated near to shops and bar, not a long walk to the beech, does the legs well.

I would go back to this hotel anytime. No question about it. We found the food to be better than on other all inclusives.

The card system could be a bit of a nightmare at times if you forgot it, and wanted a drink. Only thing I could fault was..........nothing, I don't think it warrants it, a lovely holiday had by all.

All i'll say to those complaining about the noise, is that this is benidorm, don't go if u don't want noise. Benidorm is up and thriving more than ever, new developments everywhere. The noise doesn't really affect you.

If you plan a holiday here, you wont be dissapointed thats a fact.

The Flamingo Oasis is excellent. The Staff work very long hours and yet always try to be helpful and friendly. We stayed at this super hotel on 2nd July 2002 until the 16th and have a brilliant time.

The hotel is very clean and the food is superb. On arrival our photograph was taken immediately and a man put all our luggage on a trolley and took it to our room, talk about a good start to a holiday! Nothing seemed to be too much trouble for any of the Staff. Our room (which was very large) was cleaned daily and Josefina who cleaned our room was very pleasant. Our two children also enjoyed their stay at this hotel.

Their wasn't alot of entertainment for our children (ages 10 and 13). Ideally a room with a disco on for teenagers would have been perfect but my kids were happy and that is what counts. The entertainment staff work very long hours and yet always seem to be smiling.

I would recommend this hotel to anyone. We all thoroughly enjoyed it and the kids made some really good friends. I for one would definately return. All-inclusive is brilliant but you can be restricted to your hotel. But because this hotel is so adequate for your needs, food, drink, lovely swimming pool and the sun why step outside when you have everything you need there!

We have just returned from a fantastic holiday at the Flamingo Oasis. We arrived early in the morning, around 5am. We were instantly impressed with the hotel's drive/foyer and reception area. It is such an impressive hotel from the outside and the interior is no different. As soon as you enter the revolving doors you are greeted with a gigantic Oasis in the centre complete with massive trees, rocks and water streams. It looks superb. The reception is impressive too. Anyway, we checked in and headed for our room with our flashy swipe card to use to unlock the hotel room door and to get served at the bar. Their are 6 lifts in the hotel but they can get a little busy at peak times as they seem to stop on every floor! The hotel has 25 floors, we ended up on floor 15, room 14. The rooms are lovely and spacious. When you enter their are 2 massive wardrobes with plenty of space and hangers. Also, theirs a safety deposit box which you pay a refundable deposit of 6 euros and a non-refundable fee of 2 euros per day. The bathroom was fantastic. All in marble with twin sinks and a wall sized mirror, shower, toilet, hair dryer and even telephone!!! The sleeping area has 2 large sized beds, 2 bedside tables, 2 sofa beds, cabinet, telephone and colour tv with BBC1, Sky sports, Eurosport, news etc. The balcony was large enough, it had a table with 4 chairs and a decent view out onto the concrete jungle that is Benidorm, unfortunately no pool view from this side of the hotel. As we were warned their was a 15 story clinic being built directly below us, we warned about the possible noise and dust but it didn't bother us once. No noise hardly and no dust at all. The rooms are lovely and cool, it was 38 degrees outside but the temperature in our room was around 23 degrees which was lovely. Of course this was down to the effective air conditioning. Incidentally, keep it down to minus for the coolest airflow and make sure your card is in the electric slot and the balcony doors are closed otherwise the air conditioning won't work. Beds were made and towels were changed every day by the maid. She even tidied the room and folded our pyjamas up and put them on our pillows!!

Onto the hotel, as I have already said the interior is fantastic. All marble and wood with rocks, trees etc scattered throughout. Onto the bars! Their are 5 bars in the hotel (7 if you count the 2 in the restaurant). These are well situated; entertainment area, lounge area, a quieter adults only piano bar, beside the lower pool and one at the adults only rooftop pool. These did get busy at times so expect queues and make sure you take your card to the bar with you. The drinks were nice with plenty on offer. The locally produced drinks were strong and tasted similar to ours. Put it this way, they got you drunk !!! You could also ask for cocktails as well as lager, spirits etc. You could even take bottles of champagne to your room with plastic glasses! The entertainment was okay. Bingo every night. Karaoke sometimes and also shows such as Cats and Grease. A hypnotist was also on one night. We preferred to get our free drinks til about 11:30/12:00 midnight and then head into Benidorm for the action!

The downstairs pool was very nice and very large. It did get VERY busy though and if you weren't down there at 8am with your towel then you wouldn't get a sunbed. (This was in peak season though). Their was a jacuzzi by the pool which was very relaxing. Their was an indoor pool which was always empty. We preferred the rooftop adults only pool. This was far quieter and you were guaranteed the best sun spots. The pool was fairly small but was warm at times and was very refreshing after all that sun! Facilities around the hotel included crazy golf, football, tennis, gym, sauna, massage, hairdresser and shop.

The food in the hotel was excellent. We stayed in Monika Holidays in May as part of the Amigos all inclusive group. The food and drink there just couldn't compare with what was on offer here. The restaurant was very large and nicely air conditioned. On an evening you were greeted with a glass of champagne. The food buffet was massive! Every night it consisted of salads, meats, cheeses, main meals, vegetables, chips/potatoes, kids menu, specialities and chefs specials! Their were three theme nights; Mexican, Italian and Spanish. The food was lovely. Loads of choice with meats such as roast chicken, lamb, ghoulash, steak etc also, pasta every night. The chefs special where he serves you giant carvings of freshly cooked meat was always a treat. I have read complaints about the food being luke warm. Well put it this way, its not hot but its not luke warm its just warm. You have your food on heated plates which keeps the food to a comfortable heat. If it was any hotter the food would go dry and the restaurant would be far too hot. It was fine as it was and we enjoyed it all the time. We never managed to get up for breakfast due to late nights (4am ish!) but dinner was nice and so were snacks but the evening meal was lovely. The restaurant itself was very clean and orderly and the staff were friendly and helpful.

The hotel is situated well. Around it is a few more 4 star hotels, shops, bars and restaurants. The hotel is just outside the hustle and bustle of 'the strip' in Benidorm centre and is about a nice 5 minute walk from the centre which is good for walking off your evening meal! It is quiet at night with no noise whatsoever.

We booked our hotel with JMC and would do so again. Their reps are nice, friendly, approachable, helpful and are available most of the time. If not, the staff behind the hotel reception were VERY friendly and helpful. Their are a few English and Scottish staff working in the hotel which is nice but the Spanish speak good English anyway. The staff were always helpful and polite to us. The bar men would always have a laugh with you!

Overall the Flamingo Oasis is a fantastic hotel. It is such a beautiful hotel. It has good facilities, great food, great drinks and great staff. We will return next summer but preferably while the kids are still at school as it was very busy. We had a fantastic holiday and can't wait to go back next year.

Great food!

My wife and 2 children (14 and 12), have just had a superb week at this great hotel.

The hotel offers so much good food all day long that I suggest you diet very well for a couple of months before you fly!

The staff try hard to keep the place clean but are only let down by some parents who allow their kids to run about and treat it like a holiday camp, spilling drinks and acting the fool - but please don't let that put you off, book it up as it's a minor issue.

The staff occasionally show a look of distain as they obviously get tired of the rif raf that let the English down by over indulging, but on the whole they are very polite and hard working - and all trying to speak our lingo.

The entertainment all day and night caters really for the U12's but Benidorm is huge and has something on offer for everyone. So DON'T stay within the hotel, get up and out and visit Old Town or take one of the many great trips on offer such as the Lemon Express and Aqua park.

It is a 15 minute stroll to the beach but the location means you are not in the middle of the pumping action and you can sleep in peace at night.

Taxis are only £3 for up to 5km so advise you use them as buses are about the same price.

Let down by tacky resort and poor food
21 years 10 months ago
We got a cheap deal and ended up at this hotel. The place is stunning, very grand and well worth £200.

Our room was fabulous, very clean and the staff were incredibly helpful.

There are downsides however, the food is pretty disgusting for a supposed 4* hotel. It is bland and repetitive, despite their best efforts. If you're a vegetarian, avoid this hotel because there is little or no choice, as my girlfriend found out. There is also a worryingly canteen style to the dining room. I'd advise getting out and eating in the town.

The pool is freezing cold.

Benidorm itself is ok in October (when we went) but even for 20 something’s like us it would be a truly hideous place in summer and full of nasty common types.

If you like snorkelling the beach is great and is great for kids.

Overall we had a great holiday, but were let down by poor food and a tacky resort.

If you expect that then you'll enjoy yourself.

Wouldn’t hesitate in booking again.

Arrived at hotel around 12.45pm amidst glorious cloudless blue skies and bright sunshine.

The hotel is sandwiched between two very impressive 4 Star hotels, the Levante Club and the Melia. First impressions of the hotel, things looked brilliant from the outside!
Going through, (what, as I described at the time – Tesco's) the revolving doors, things looked very nice, I was impressed. Very brightly lit reception area, with JMC, Thomson and Portland reps desks.

On your left is the glass lift, which will take you either down to the restaurant, indoor pool and “Fiesta Flamingo” entertainment room (evenings only, the chairs and tables were probably the only thing I would have cause to complain about) or up to the tennis court and crazy golf course.

To your left is the “Café Veranda”, which is one of the four bars the hotel has to offer (draught Strongbow cider and Cruzcampo lager); there are toilets to the left of the bar.

Had a bit of a wait to check in, followed by a further wait to have our photo’s taken for our all-inclusive card. Safety boxes are in room and cost 2 euros a day and a 6 euros deposit.

The resident Spanish entertainers were on hand dishing out free glasses of chilled “champagne”. The reception and lobby’s have several very comfortable armchairs and settees. There are three public telephones directly behind reception; however it is cheaper to call home from the public phones outside the hotel.

There is a gift shop to your right on the way to the lifts, just beyond the gift shop is a hairdressers, more toilets and four computers, great for checking out HT.
Straight ahead is the “adults only” piano bar, turning right you will find the six lifts which will take you up to anyone of the 25 floors.
The 25th floor is where you will find the “adults only” bar, sun terrace and small pool, it gets VERY hot on the sun terrace. You get great views from the roof.
The 24th floor is where you will find the free gym, the sauna and massage room both of which you must book and pay for at reception.

The rooms are huge and very spacious, plenty of room for hanging your clothing.
You can get BBC1, SKY NEWS, SKY SPORTS 1 and EUROSPORTS on the TV in the room. There is a radio on your headboard, which plays one channel only.

The bathroom is very big also, consisting of toilet, bidet, two sinks, a bath and shower.

At the back of the hotel a 7-storey clinic is being built. It is in the early stages of construction so the foundations are still being done. Monday to Saturday expect to be woken around 7.00am to 7.30am; the work carries on until between 6.00pm and 7.00pm. The noise at times is very loud with jackhammers banging away.
I don’t know if it was just us but we seemed to get used to it and it never really was a problem unless you were hung over and fancied a nice quiet lie in.

There are plenty of sun beds by the outside pool, but very few tables and chairs (unless they were stored for later in the season). The pool bar was just opening as we left and they planned and indeed did serve hot snacks (burgers/chips)
Cold snacks such as crisps and nuts are served all day and night in the 4 bars.
Biscuits are served between 3.00pm and 6.0pm in the “Café Veranda”

The food is very very good. Caviar and champagne for breakfast, as well as a good fry up, lots of cereals, cakes, croissants and yoghurts. Carvery every lunchtime and for evening meal. Three gala/theme dinners per week.

We found the staff to be very friendly and helpful, three of the bar staff are British, but you always get the odd one who give the impression that they don’t really want to be there.

Don’t be put off by the couple of leaks you may see in the “Café Veranda”, caused, we were told, by a combination of the heavy rains and the planters they have got.

Overall we had a really great holiday and wouldn’t hesitate in booking again.

I defy anybody who goes there not to have a GREAT holiday.

Holiday 09/03/02 to 16/03/02. Must say having read the differing comments I was a bit uneasy before setting off to this hotel. Our holiday, couple in 40's, was taken as a break and we chose this hotel because of a teletext offer, we have been all inclusive in the past.

We were not too bothered about it being a long way to the beach and central amenities, the cheap taxis helped as well.

So the hotel, the room was 100% two oversized single beds, two sofa beds, wardrobe space for four and a large balcony with seating for four, good job there was only two of us.

8th floor, cleaned well very satified.

Rooftop sun terrace, good idea, nice area pool and bar assisted.

Meals, good selection and varied, some items were cool at times, not restaraunt meals but adiquate for hotel.

Snacks we cannot comment on as we did not partake.

Staff, a bit of a mixed bag really, Spanish and English, some miserable some not, thats life isn't it.

Although the hotel was generally clean the downstairs pool let it down, messed up by unsupervised kids and not put back together again before next use, no pool bar open or table and chairs to sit out.

Well on the whole, would we go back again ?

Yes at a push, on the whole just little niggles although star rating is more 3 to 4 as opposed to 4, if you know what we mean.

Just returned from this hotel and had a brilliant time.

The staff were good and couldn't do enough for you, the food was good and plenty of choices. I had two teenagers with me and they enjoyed it as well although I think Matt the entertainer had a lot to do with that. People complained about the entertainment but it was very difficult to please everyone and they all tried their best. Having read comments about building works I was a bit worried about this but I can honestly say I never really heard much noise. If you are going I am sure you will enjoy it, I know we all did.

After seeing comments about this hotel before, I was a bit apprehensive but the hotel was brilliant. OK, there is building work going on but our room was right beside it and we were never disturbed by noise. The hotel is kept very clean in all public areas and the staff, I found to be very friendly. The entertainment at times wasn't all that great but the guys who did the entertaining were really nice people and very good with the kids. I had two teenagers with me and they really enjoyed the holiday.

Everything about this hotel I found good and I would defenitely return here if given the chance.

Got back late saturday night. 9th February 2002.

Although the hotel is new, not quite a year old, it is already starting to look shabby in places. The rooms were clean and spacious, but unfortunatly the staff let it down. We were all on to get a smile from most of them. The food was poor standard for a 4 star warm not hot. But there was plenty of it.

Still only two drinks at a time from the bar. Having gone when the kids were at school I cannot coment on there behaviour as there was only about two children there.

It is good for anyone with walking difficulties as the lifts went to all floors.

We won't be going back.

Just got back today 16th February.

Was not impressed by this hotel. Food was very poor we ended up eating out every day. How this is rated 4 star I will never know. We expected quality food in a 4 star hotel and was suprised to see chips by the lorry load.

Location was quite central about 10 minute walk. First time in Benidorm and probably the last.
