Stayed at this hotel on a 40th birthday 17 of us altogether.

Room ok bad smell of sewage around hotel.

The food was nothing to be desired, undercooked meats food from night before made into a different meal tthe following day. Been to a few all inclusives but this is by far the worst.

Rude staff that dont want to help you if you have a problem . Alcohol appeared watered down the only decent drink was probably the lager.

On the last night went out then returned later to find a friends gifts camera &cigarrettes had been stolen from room. Told reception who was not very helpful told them to call police but was very reluctant to do so but did when we demanded. All they said was if not in safe nothing they can do. The door had not been forced.

My last words all I can say is keep away would I go back NEVER. You may read this and think oh its not that BAD sorry it is.

There was 17 in our party we stayed on an All Inclusive basis. The rooms were clean and comfortable.

The food was OK (I don't eat fish rices or meats but if you do there is plenty of choice)breakfast was the best always plenty to choose from.

The location of hotel is great a couple of minutes to beach and all amenities although its on a hill known as cardiac hill it really isn't that bad, staff at the hotel were polite and friendly.

Entertainment was comical although it wasnt supposed to be but couldnt help but laugh at the singer and country dancers although the magicians were fabulous.

I would definitely stay here again I have read other reviews that were not so good about this hotel with regards to stealing from rooms I would advise anyone with a bit of common sense to hire a safe as we did and always do regardless of were we stay, the one down point to this hotel the reception could be quite smelly at times.

we have just got back from the rock gardens and after reading some reviews was a bit scared off going but on arrival was very releived receiption staff were very nice and helpful.the food was really good for a 3 star had somethink for everyone rooms were very clean and having a fridge was a added bonus for all inc. the location was good night life just down the hill how ever would not recommend anyone to stay in this hotel with walking problems. entertainment was ok magic shows are good. shooting and archery in day time. karaoke comiedians singers at night. but there is one or two problems at night time they turn air con on to make it cold in the room so you dont drink so much and they only have 2 bar men on at one time which causes queues and you do get annoyed. round the pool in the day time you had to go down to reception bar to get a drink as the pool bar wasnt open and gave you glass to take on sunterrace which isnt good when there is children about in bare feet.and when asked why it wasnt open we was told it was out of season. however would i go back have already booked. this hotel is a 3star if you want 4 or 5 star you should book them and not the rock

Very dissapointed before the arrival as I booked the transfer when the rooms were booked and when I rang to confirm the flight dates the day prior to arrival the company knew nothing about it as the Magic group had not booked us on! This resulted in having to book a private transfer at more than triple the cost.

I complained as soon as I arrived at the hotel and was told there had been a few problems with Resort hopper and we would be refunded the taxi money the following working day which would be Monday.

By Monday there was cause for further complaint: 2 i pods were stolen out of our room, the duty manager who was English was a total waste of time!

Basically she defended her staff saying they had all worked there for years and were totally reliable, so where these I pods went remains a mystery...she did say though that it was up to us to pay for a safe to keep valuables in?

As for the transfers..we were fobbed off every day being told that the marketing manager was in talks with Resort Hopper yet on the last day we still had no refund, and we ended up leaving without one.

The staff are very unfriendly, which is a big surprise as we make friends with the staff in all the Spanish Hotels we stay in.

I'm very dissapointed as this was an expensive 5 days holiday with being in school half term, so with all the extra is cost with transfers and replacing i-pods, its definately an experience I wouldn't like to repeat.

I must also add that the rooms are the least soundproof I've ever stayed in, the noise from the adjoining rooms was horrendous, yet no one was been intentionally noisy.

On entering hotel we thought it was great, however this view soon changed. It looked like the Flintstones should live there.

While the hotel was very clean it was shabby looking and tired. Rooms were kept very clean, the cleaning staff were excellent as were the bar and restaurant staff.
The hill was a killer especially in the heat.

Entertainment was a waste of space, when Eddie was singing it was OK otherwise rubbish. There was a sign saying no kids running around after 9.30 but they ran riot all night.

Hotel was very noisy at night with people coming in at all hours of the night slamming room doors. If we had not have been all inclusive we would not have stayed in the hotel at all.

Stayed for a fortnight at the magic rock, would not recommend this hotel to any British person.

The staff at reception are very rude and ignorant and speak about you in Spanish and we encountered this on many occasions in the 2 weeks.

After we checked in we where given room 001 if you get this asked to get moved, the room wasn

We have been to Benidorm 3 times before on self catering holidays so this time we thought we would try all inclusive.

We arrived at the hotel just after dinner and we were dropped at the main entrance and not the back door like I read in some holiday truths before I went. When we got to reception we were told we could not go to our room till 3pm and we was not told this when we booked the holiday, also the reception staff were very unhelpful and didn't rush to help you.

The room was nice and clean apart from the kettle I would advise you to take your own.

The food in the restaurant was really nice. There was plenty of choice and it was all fresh and hot. The only problem was if you didn't go down as soon as the restaurant opened you would not get a table as the hotel was full of Spanish people.

The location was great. It was 2 minutes from the beach and shop but the hill leading to the hotel was horrid. I know it says in the brochure not suitable for people with walking difficulties but me and my husband are only in our mid twenties and once at the top we needed a lie down.

I cannot comment on the entertainment as we never saw any due to the fact there was a sign in the entertainment room saying no children allowed to run round after 9:30 and as my children are only 6 years and 23 Months this would of been hard to keep them sat quiet.

Over all we had a great holiday as Benidorm caters for all ages but i would not stay in this hotel again as I feel it is not well catered for children.
