The location of the hotel was excellent, my wife has mobility problems but found no difficulty with this hotel.

Food is superb, staff are excellent, the only minus was the entertainment but that did not spoil holiday because there was alternative first class entertainment within easy reach of hotel.

Nice and close to market on market days. Lovely run frendly hotel.

We booked this hotel because of its location but when we arrived we got more than we bargained for. The hotel entrance was very grand with a statue in the foyer and the reception was big. The reception staff very helpful.
We arrived at 8.00pm and they checked us in very quickly.

Once we got in to the rooms they where very clean and the bathroom as well. The power shower was very refreshing especially after sitting in the sun all day.

The hotel restaurant was excellent the staff very friendly once you sat down at your table the drinks waiters where over to you like a shot and very friendly.

The food was great plenty to choose from different everynight. The desserts was lovely especially the cream and the ice cream machine (help yourself).

The pool area cleaned everyday and it was big plus the pool. The pool was heated in the morning so you are not jumping into a cold pool and later on in the day it was nice and cool and very refreshing.

All in all a great hotel and thanks to the staff we will be going back again soon.

We stayed at the Venus in the first two weeks of May 2005. We were a bit worried that we wouldn't be able to eat lunch, as we usually only have a snack at lunch time - needless to say we did eat lunch there every day. There is plenty of "snacky" foods - their chunky thick soup at lunch time with a salad to follow we found was just great. I'm a fussy eater but I must say I enjoyed the food here - there was always something to choose from. Their fruit counter was gorgeous - as well as the usual fruit there were extremely large bowls of strawberries - they even had a fresh cream marchine & an ice cream machine. My husband was made up with the sweet counter. Lots of cakes & desserts to choose from. All in all, an excellent selection of foods & desserts.

The hotel pool area was very large & we never had a problem getting a sun lounger. Must say though they should have more parasols - we were told that too many parasols give off shade to the other loungers alongside the parasols!

The rooms were a decent size with plenty of storage space. The bathroom also was of a good size & the shower was powerful - needed at the end of the day to remove the gunge of sun tan cream. Our room was overlooking the pool & from the room you could see and hear the noise from the "Mad Square" but once the doors were closed it was fine, couldn't hear anything. And the view from our room was great at night time with all the clubs & other hotels all lit up & during the day we had the mountains.

We found the hotel to be very clean and well maintained.

The entertainment at the hotel (apart from the Dracma Bar which had dancing every night) was non-existent. There is a very large bar in the basement but I reckon there were no more than six people on most nights. But then with the entertainment in Benidorm you wouldn't want to stay in an hotel.

Well, we liked this hotel that much that we are booking to go back again next May!

Enjoyed our stay in this hotel. It was well located a street away from the square and 3 streets back from the beach. There were shops & bars on your doorstep. Too much to choose from!
On arrival at 2.30 am the initial impression was good with fast check-in, and impressive foyer. When we got out of the lift on 6th floor the carpet looked at though it hadn't been vaccumed for days, and when we got to our room the tiled floors seemed gritty. The beds were metal with wooden slats and the bathroom was in need of some refurbishing but nothing major. But these were our only gripes. Everything else was perfect. The carpet was cleaned the next day, but by evening was looking grubby again with the amount of sand trailed in on feet.
The meal were really good and we always found something we liked. There is always pizza everynight. I did think there was not alot of choice for veggies, but there was plenty of salads and a hot vegetarian dish of the day. The restaurant can get quite busy at pack times but there was a small overspill room off the main dining room and we always managed to get a table there if nowhere else. Sometimes you have to share your table. The wine waiter was very quick but the girls weren't so prompt to clear away your empty plates, a few times we had to just stack them up on the next table.
Being full board was great. We ordered a picnic a couple of days and got between 2 of us - 4 packs of sandwiches, 2 rolls, 2 tins of pate, oranges and 2 bottles of water!
The staff were friendly, especially the wine waiters. There was always a resident band in the bar and entertainment outside ranging from games to magicians and parrot shows.
The pool area was larger than shown in the brochures. With a terrace ajoined. We always managed to get a bed but brollies are scarce.
Overall a nice hotel with good food. Would have no hesitation booking it again.

The Hotel Venus is a very well run hotel with lovely clean rooms with plenty of drawer and wardrobe space. The bathroom had everything with hot water at all times and a good powerful shower.

You are central for everything, beach, market just round the corner, nightlife on the doorstep.

The staff are very friendly and the food is very good with plenty of choice. The sequence dancing was well run by good dance leaders and would recommend it to anyone who likes dancing.

I will be going to the Venus next time I visit Benidorm.

Just returned from this hotel which is run by the respected and established Servi Group, which run a number of the better hotels in Benidorm.

Overall an excellent hotel which can't be faulted

Good rooms, the air con is very good (a little tip, if you have an old store card or unwanted credit card, stick it in the switch behind the door so your air con stays on all day, but remember to take it out fro when the cleaner comes!)

Nice size balconies, no bidet in the bathroom though, but there are power showers. Good storage and comfy beds.

TV in rooms, shows Sky News, Eurosport, a DVD Channel and BBC World, useful for keeping up with the news.

Hotel is very popular with the Spanish, so it must be doing something right

Good food, diverse choice, very friendly and efficient staff and always plenty of space.

Good sized pool with a mass of sunbeds and chairs. Daytime entertainment for kids and adults is good, pool, darts, water polo etc. Nightime entertainment leaves a lot to be desired but who really wants to stay in the hotel all day anyway?

Pool view as requested in an email to hotel, recommend you do this, you won't get a reply though

The road really isn't that busy, easy to cross and as the balcony door is soundproofed you won't get any noise.

The downstairs bar is used in the winter months for the old folks and tea dances etc

Walk to the beach can be done in under 10 minutes, not sure where earlier estimations came from, they must be VERY slow walkers.

Air con throughout hotel is a godsend and I can thoroughly recommend this hotel to anyone, from families to couples to the old folks.

On a final note, cover you ears when your in the lift, the music is awful!

Just returned from our second visit to this hotel and as before everything really excellent as already reviewed by most of the people who stay here and return again and again. If you want to keep your air conditioning on all the time, just ask for another room card and keep it in. We have done this on our two visits without any problems. Karn

This is a lovely hotel and we have stayed here for 6 years on the trot now and have booked again for this year.

The hotel is exceptionally clean with towels changed every day and linen changed twice a week. The hotel food is very good but has not changed from year to year, but there is always something good to choose from, especially the theme nights that they have, although the dining room gets very busy, but tables are cleared and re-set really quickly.
The pool area is lovely with a shallow end for the children and a life guard on duty most of the time.

The terraces are swept and hosed down every morning, and there is not usually a problem with sun loungers, but we are usually up quite early and by about 11.30 the loungers are getting sparse.

The Venus is situated right in the centre of all the nightlife but far enough away to be able to sleep at night.
The entertainment is a little naff, but you dont need to use the hotel for entertainment as all you have to do is step outside and its all there for you anyway, but its not too bad if you want a quiet night in.

We have stayed in a lot of hotels in Benidorm, but on the whole this is a great hotel and we would not stay any where else now.
The staff are very helpful and all speak very good English.

This is the only hotel I've stayed in, in benidorm. I've just returned after my fifth stay, it really is exeptional, the food is fantastic, a huge busy restauraunt, and the food presentation is out of this world.

On the minus side, five times on booking I've applied for a pool view and got it only once, if you dont get it then you have a view of a busy road. I'm convinced they don't look at your booking forms, it did'nt really matter, its still great and I'll be back there next year.
