This is the first time we have gone "all inclusive", so didnt know what to expect and als the first time we had been away for Christmas. We were delighted, at the way the Hotel was decorated, in a true Christmas tradition.

The room was welcoming, and fully heated etc. cleaned everyday, clean towels daily too. Comfortable beds, even a fridge in the room! You dont need to take shampoo/soap/toothbrushes/combsetc. ALL THERE FOR YOU.

Food-well all I can say is that we were spoilt for choice, also as much wine with our meals. On christmas eve, and christmas day, we had bottles of wine on out table, and champagne. When the D/room was closed. You could still go and have snacks, as much as you could eat, although the food was so plentiful throughout the day, we were too full.

Evening entertainment was brilliant. Families of all ages enjoyed themselves.e wouldnt hesitate to go again, maybe not et as much (and drink!)A wonderful Hotel, friendly, and most of all SPOTLESS.

We had a short stay holiday at the Amaika. The hotel is in a built up area 50 meters from the sea, but blends in well.

It's spotless and the rooms cosy and clean.

The biggest fault we found was the food not varied enough and to frequent warm. we had veg soup three nights in row.

We were lucky with entertainment as we three good nights. The bar staff were very friendly.

There's a train to barcelona 10min walk away which cost 6euro return, non bad for a two hour return trip.

The resort is mostly shut now, so a short stay suited us.

The Amika is situated at the southern end of Calella just a couple of mins from the beach.

The rooms are very comfortable with a fridge, but no kettle for that early morning"brew". The only fault is the ridiculously small shower cubicle, but there is half bath to soak in.

The bar staff are friendly and the entertainment was passable.

The food was OK, but not really up to 4 Star standard.

My mother and her friend who are in their late 50`s stayed at this hotel and they thought it was great!

The staff were very friendly and the all inclusive bar was fantastic.

OK the food wasn`t piping hot but was nice.

You cannot complain because the value for money was exellent.

They say they would definitely stay there again.

After reading mixed reviews on the hotel before we went we didn't know what to expect. On first arriving the hotel looked lovely. The staff at reception were polite and courteous. The rooms were lovely and spacious. The maids were in every day.

Onto the restaurant. First impressions were good well laid out and staff helpful. The food was the worst i have ever had. It was always cold or lukewarm at the most. I am surprised that no-one went down with food poisoning. There were microwaves about 6 of them but you shouldn't have to reheat your food.

Entertainment left a lot to be desired but we made our own entertainment and usually went into town.

Food and entertainment spoiled which otherwise would be an excellent hotel but for these reasons we would not go back.

My friends and I have been to the Amaika Hotel twice now. We love it and will return again and again. The staff are exceptional and nothing is too much trouble for them. The hotel itself is truly brautiful with a very relaxed atmosphere. We could n't have asked for more.. The food was beautifully presented and always very well cooked. There was also plenty of choice and availability. The resturant is extremely clean and very well looked after and the staff are always pleased to assist. You could never feel hungry in this hotel. The location is perfect as it is only a few minutes from all amenities. The beach is just across the road, the shops are within 2 minutes walk. This is a little bit of Heaven.

Hi just returned from AMAIKA .Hotel is spotless and staff very pleasent.Hotel in a good position for beach (about 100yards)

Down side is very small pool area and only about 50 sunbeds for the Hotel wich has about 350 rooms , mind you there is no room for any more as the area is so small .

Food was always tepid and never hot even when straight from kitchens and of a poor quality.

Taken holiday all in all it is a cheap holiday in a good hotel but pity about the food.Hotel never a 4 star

On arrival to the hotel in the early hours of Sunday morning. We were told the babies cot and kettle for making the babies food which we requested was not available.

Babies food had to be made using the water from the bar vending machine between 9 and midnight. The food for children is poor mainly chips. The snack bar is in the restaurant on the 1st floor the menu is chips, beans, chicken nuggets every day your children must dry off and dress if by the pool to be allowed in the restaurant/snack bar. Drinks and ice cream are not available at snack bar times. I feel the staff/entertainment staff tried but were not meant to entertain children.

The pool is far to small for the size of the hotel. I feel for adults this is a clean friendly hotel, but just is not up to the task of entertaining or catering for families. I booked this holiday as a all inclusive but not to this hotel (I was transferred as my hotel was not ready)

I stayed at the Ameika after being moved from the osiris before we went (Osiris being renovated).

It wouldn't have been my first choice from the brochure and to be honest I wouldn't go again.
My only real gripe with this hotel is that the pool area is too small.
My only advice to you if you are staying here is get out to the pool at 8:45am with your towel......because at 9:05am after the pool is open you will not get a sun lounger for the rest of the day.
You have been warned.........

The hotel is lovely and clean.

It took 4 maintanance men 8 days to get a screwdriver to stop it wobbling and it did'nt work, so we got moved it and still has'nt been repaired so we moved on the balcony below so we could see.

The children's club was just taking off when we left they were starting to do more with them . Masha the kids entertainer is great with the kids ( and adults ). We will miss her lots. There is'nt much choice for the children with food my children lived off chips for the fortnight, everything had a sauce on it. We ate at Alcatraz quite a bit on Sundays they did a great dinner my kids ate adults portions and almost licked the plate clean they were that hungry .

The hotel was'nt for us expecially when you have 3 children .
