Hotel Alhambra, Santa Susana Hotel - Quite nice close to the beach. Music at hotel every night, very clean and staff very nice.

Dining room was okay but you have to wait in line for up to half hour like being in school. Food not bad but it caters for German people.

They don't like us English, they kept jumping the que. We would go back if the food department was better.

We were in room 423 which was great long balony.

having just returned from a week at the Olympic i must admit that it wasn't the best break i've had. i was all inclusive for the first and last time , i mistakenly thought that it would be a cost saving as snacks , drinks , meals etc.. would be thrown in for free . OK if you are prepared to stand in queues your entire holiday , there are over 500 rooms in this hotel yet only 4 barstaff on duty the week i was there. As you are only permited 2 drinks/per visit at the bar , it seemed a really good way of the hotel limiting how much they actually spent on guests.
the resort itself was nice in places but it was all rather dated and the "all inclusive" hotels did kill off the nightlife ,as every bar was empty untill after midnight when you got a few drunken revellers patronising the closest bar to their hotel.
Too far from Barcelona to visit daily ( 45 mins on train ) and not enough to keep you occupied during the day , i would not return to this resort and will never attempt All Inclusive again.

This hotel should be renamed the Olympic Zoo . What can i say , other than i would not book or recommend this hotel to any one . The walls are so thin that you might aswell not have any, the hotel was clean enough and the rooms were cleaned and clean towels every day , the toilets were terrible to use.Food was standard spanish hotel food i always found something to eat, but after the first few nights ate out. Reception staff were helpful, bar staff were another thing always dropping hints for tips. As we didn't have children with us we didn't see or hear any entertainment. We did visit other HTop hotels and noticed the differnece straight away with the furnishings and service compared to the Olympic, the hotel could do with a complete refurbishment. The hotel is too far away from whats going on .

I'm really confused! Just got back from Olympic hotel and looked at reviews on this site, (didn't read reviews before we left) and can't believe what other people have wrote. Maybe we just had a lucky week.

The hotel is spotless from top to bottom, rooms cleaned daily. No rowdy groups at all, nights were very peaceful and quiet. The food was not gormet obviously , but there was plenty to choose from and something for everyone, and very occasionally it was very good. My wife is a vegeterian and ate very well throughout our stay.

The pool area was also spotless and well laid out. The kids loved being able to get their own drinks and ice cream from the pool bar. They also loved the kids club (arts and crafts, pool games, even crossbow shooting) and recieved medals for their endevors. The kids reps also had activities for adults (rifle shooting, killer darts and pool etc) which was fun. The only complaint I have is about the bar at night. Expect to queue for about 20 mins at busy times, and when you can only get 2 drinks at a time, beer is served in halves only, you do spend a lot of time there. The entertainment is very cheesy but as you are able to visit other h-top hotels and use your all inclusive card the choice of entertainment is varied.

The hotel is one of the furthest from the beach but you can walk to it in under 5 mins with kids and inflatables in tow, so no real hardship there.

I stayed in the hotel Olympic for one week and it was the worst hotel i have ever stayed in. In the room there was a cockroach and we put our suitcases on top in the wardrobes and all dust came off.

The food was horrendous! We had to eat out most of the time. People who we had talked to who had stayed there that was all inclusive had to eat out which is not fair when you have paid for these meals.

In the morning there are only two toasters there are massive ques which then when you put you bread in to toast it comes out the same as it started in the first place.

You have to put it in at the least two times which makes the ques even longer. Most of the food is also cold. One day there was a trail of ants -thousands which all went into the microwave! It was disgusting and the cleaners just took the table cloth away!

The location is in a nice place which is close to the beach and shops. One of my family members went to complain about the hotel to the manger and we said that the hotel should be a one star not a three!

We also complained about the food and the hotel in general and all the manger said was " i am only the manger. What can I do!"

There was not that much entertainment one night there was some singers and another night there was a grease production but yet again we went out. In the bar where the entertainment was supposed to be held - you could hear all the noise still down the road it was so noisy.

After all, I would never go or visit this hotel again!

Rooms cleaned each day basic but expected. Food mostly inedible, our early morning bookings for Calella Palace were accepted but never at the Almaki we assumed it was the terrible reputation of Olympic, due the horrendous noise nearly every night, overrun with german students drunk with no respect for anyone else.
Three requests to speak to the manager saw him once only. Due to his incompetance and lack of care for anyone he told us we were the only complaint he had had. We told him he was lying because all the families we spoke to had complained. This hotel would make a good 18 to 30 club but definitly not a family hotel as it is advertised. The queues for drinks are endless and staff very curt and short. entertainment dreadful. Would not recomend this hotel to my worst enemy, needed another holiday when we got home, would definitely not visit this hotel or any H top hotel again.

We have just returned from the HTop Olympic.

As other people have mentioned it was over run with young students from several countries, who took great pleasure from singing/shouting from the balconies till the early hours. When they settled down it was the turn of the British young families who came in from the pubs at 2-3 in the morning. Hammering on doors (to drunk to find there own room) and slamming doors, which could be heard right through the hotel. We took ear plugs and wore them every night, but this still did not stop the noise!

The bathrooms have a louvered door to a central shaft, which means you can hear EVERY thing that happens in the bathrooms above/below and nextdoor. The balcony door and window is not double glazed, the corridor floor is tiled which all adds to the noise. We initially had a room on the second floor with the students! but the staff did move us up to the sixth floor when we asked.

In general the staff on reception where pretty good. The food was typical Spanish hotel food, not brilliant but usually ok.

The location was ok, there is an underpass under the main road when you walk down to the town/beach. We did not see much of the entertainment as we went to the other two HTop hotels most nights.

For the price, the holiday was good value, but we would never visit the Olympic again, it needs a major refurbishment or knocking down and rebuilding.

We've just returned from a week at this hotel - we were a bit wary after reading the reviews, but got a good deal on an AI. If you stay here, and are under 16, you will generally need earplug if you plan on getting any sleep at all! At the time we went the hotel was over-run with german students. They would drink the bar dry (although they didn't look old enough), then generally riot along the corridors and off the balaconies until the wee hours. There were a group of older Welsh ladies also at the hotel, and I'm ashamed to say that regularly they staggered along the corridor at 2am banging on doors and singing. It's not really the sort of hotel you go to for a rest like we did.

If you're going to this area - there are only 2 hotels to go for - the Calella Palace and the Amaika - I wouldn't touch any of the others with a stick as they generally had the same problem with noisy students as we did.

The food at the hotel was plentiful - but more catered for a German pallette - the down side to the AI deal was the queueing! You had to queue for everything and if you didn't get to the dining room early, things started to get cold or they would close parts of it off as it got later, so then you'd have to wait for a table.

I think the staff at the hotel tried to arrange the accomodation so the younger people were nearer to the ground, and us oldies (30somethings) were further up - unfortunately with tiled floors - no double glazing - and open vent shafs in the en-suite, this did nothing to stop the noise.

The hotel was clean enough, although the cleaners visited on a daily basis, they only made the beds and didn't change the sheets - we also had to go hunting for toilet roll, as they'd often foget to leave one!
