First time to Icmeler and we had some doubts about these apartments after reading some of the reviews. We arrived in the early hours of the morning and were really hungry, so the owner Peter phoned up and got us a takeaway delivered. The holiday was one of the best we have ever had it was a laugh from start to finish. Bar boys are funny and we will give you some more lessons at pool next year if we can manage to come back.
Hotel was lovely and clean and the rooms were spacious.
Ate at the hotel 1 night and the meal was very good. Had a couple of afternoon bar snacks and these were very nice.

Just got back this morning from Icmeler and had a look at what the reviews have been on about whilst we have been there and i can only say that i have graded this review as honest as i can apart from i can not score the hotel or its staff as ZERO and putting a one is been very kind indeed, we have never been anywhere so rude, filthy, and it is a shame that they dont pull this place down and rebuild a half decent apartment block there instead of this "backwater".
The team running it are not even worth talking about and should feel guilty about what they expect guests to put up with.... eg, Just becouse four girls go on holiday together it does NOT mean they are going to jump into bed with the head waiter just becouse he thinks he is gods gift and the turkish manager is really CRUDE and bullies people to eat and drink there. And it puts people off when the female chef is on the beer from morning till night, would you like a meal to be cooked by someone that is drunk all the time? The bar staff raid the tip box to pay for a take away pizza on a night but only after the turkish manager has taken his share of the money! This place is not worth a visit and i only hope my words make anyone see that it is not a nice place to go to.

Just returned from 10 days at Ozlem Apartments. Great location just a 15 minute stroll to the beach. Lovely and peaceful away from all the hustle and bustle of the main drag of the resort. Rooms are plenty big enough. We cooked most days in the apartments, they have a small cooker with two rings and a fridge and a kettle. My only criticism would be the wardrobe space, but in Turkey its what we have come to expect. We are students and we certainly got more than what we paid for at these apartments. Good company, great food on the twice we ate there, and a real good laugh. Local lager (efes) is lovely and big measures on the spirits. Cant recommend this wee place enough.

We arrived back home this morning after a 2week stay at ozlem 1, this was my 3rd visit there since july 2009 and can not praise Frank, Cherry, Peter and staff enough, they all go out of their way to help if needed.
From we arrived until we departed we were treated fantastically by everyone.

The apartments are spacious and spotlessly clean and have 2 balconies, 1 at front, other at rear, the maid service is first class.

The restaurant has 2 chefs, 1 Turkish the other English and caters for everyone, food is fantastic and you get plenty of it whether it be breakfast, lunch, dinner or just a snack, Helen the English cook does the best chicken fajitas ever, they are a must!

The pool is a good size and there are plenty of sun loungers to go around, if you are an early bird like myself and sitting out on the balcony around 6am you will see that the pool and pool area are cleaned every morning.

Thursday night is Turkish night with BBQ and entertainment i.e belly dancers, robots, breakdancers etc, Sunday night is quiz nite, every other night the bar staff give u great entertainment with their dancing and singing, Ali puts on good show with his dancing and karaoke. Bar and waiting staff are ever so polite, great with kids and always up for a laugh.

A fantastic holiday yet again at Ozlem 1 thanks to Frank, Cherry, Peter and staff. Can't wait to return so we have booked up for a week in September and then again for 2 weeks in July 2011.

All ican say about this hotel is you get what you pay for. It was ok and i would go back if i got a cheap deal here but i would certinaley look for something closer to the main area.
We were put on the ground floor with having kids and the first thing that struck us was the smell of damp. There was an area on the floor which was cold and damp. We did report this to cherry who said they had had problems and would look into it (whether she did or not is a different question). Other than that room a bit basic not much cutelry and no tin opener!.
The next thing i have to report to all families with kids ' they cant use the pool because their sensitive bits will get burnt' and why i say this is becuse all the children who were there all had burns on them after going in the pool. We noticed that the staff were just pouring in chlorine and at no time were they measuring how much was going in. We had to take our children to a different pool every day.

The only staff we like were ali and ebo(who is 15 may i add), they did take some stick from peter the turkish manager who was horrible to them and in front of all the guests.The apartments need to be run more by the english owners becuase the manager is just going to run these aprtments into the ground.

The apartments were quite out the way and it was a long walk to the canal area and beach.

On a positive note the food was quite good and reasonbly priced and we did have a good holiday overall.

To be honest we booked the ozlem as it was cheap and we reaaly did not expect much, good job really because we got nothing but abuse for refusing to buy tickets for the so called turkish night. This was our 11th visit to Icmeler and we know lots and lots of people, and to be honest we only wanted it as a base, but that does nopt excuse to attitude and disgusting language of the turkish manager. The place is wonderful ( if you want to drink and eat there all the time) if you dare to venture out then you are a leper. Do not tip, as the manager raids the tip box every night and takes 50% of what is in there and the head bar man then has to order his daily pizza, then after all that, the rest get there share. The english cook is glued to the same bar stool from 8am till midnight, and actually told us to order something in as she had been drinking..no suprise there then!. It is not a place I would recommend to anyone, no matter how cheap it is, there are much much better places in Icmeler to stay where you will be made to feel welcome no matter how much you spend. In all my years going to Turkey, I have never ever dealt with such rude turks and English, and I have to say, if I had not known the place as I do, it would probably be my one and only visit. Its a shame but the manager and his cronies are ruining what could be a nice place.

we arrived at 8.30 am after travelling all night and were greeted at the gate by Cherry which we thought was a nice touch. The rooms are quite spacious and spotlessly clean. We did have a little trouble with our fridge but when we mentioned this to Frank it was changed immediatley, thank you Frank
The staff are all very accomodating and nothing is too much trouble for any of them and all are very friendly and entertained us regularly.
Turkish Night was excellent, the barbeque food delicious and the entertainment was good including the staff dance with Peter and the boys. We ate in a few times and the food was lovely and it was no hassle when we went out. We usually had a drink at the bar before bed and Peter always had a chat and a laugh with us.

Hmmm Just got back from 2 weeks at the Ozlem 1. Now where do I start... Upon arival we had a good welcome and apartment was clean and ready. Good sized apartment for Turkey standards and no real need for air conditioning as we we on the ground floor ( at our request, due to my husband being disbaled )Bedrooms are at the back of the apartment, so no really loud noise. Entertainment was vitually non existant during our stay, all we saw was a " Turkish night ", I am still wondering what a robotic dancer and break dancers have to do with Turkey? There was also a quiz night that went on for hours and to be honest everyone got bored and the prize was a free drink...lol.You also have to watch your bar bills as once or twice in the first week we got overcharged.
Anyway all was well until we complained about the food at the restaurant on the 5th day of our holiday...it wasnt cooked and we sent it back..it came back still uncooked. We didnt eat it and from that day on we were ignored by everyone, with the exeption of Cherry who spoke only if she had to. So as this was happening we decided not to eat and drink there, there are plenty of good eating places and I for one am not being blackmailed into eating rubbish, wich is what it was. We had a few problems with the electrics at the apartment and once they turned the water off in our apartment without telling us ( that was friendly wasnt it ). We decided to watch a football match and against out better judgemnt decided to get a drink at the bar.....we had only been sat down 20 mins when someone ( who wasnt even staying at the apartments ) and had no buisiness being there decided to have a look at everyones bills and then go on to tell people how much everyone had spent. I did not agree with this and said so....oh dear another mistake...sent to conventry again..lol. Icmeler itself is great and we are planning to move there, but I would not reccomend these apartments unless you never want to move out of them for the whole of your holiday, so will be treated like kings then, if you dare to eat or drink elswhere then......oops you too will be on the naughty step.! lol. There was absolutley no customer care at all....well I for one wont be going back and will reccomend that no one else does either.
