Having been twice some years before, we chose this hotel because we liked the resort. Also, chose June as, hopefully no school holidays.......
Pros- Hotel clean and regular maid service.Food a bit repetive but good for 3 star. Excellent pool bar service with extremely pleasant staff. No problem with sun beds.
Cons- Very small room on ground floor with street view. Only one electric socket and that was used for tv - no remote control but got one at reception for 5e deposit - did`nt work so returned it and no tv. No door in safety deposit box - replaced late following day but with exortionate price of 24e plus deposit for week. Room phone will not work unless you pay deposit. Bar lounge is no-go area - smoke filled, loud music and screaming kids-mostly Italian. You will only get served at bar by surly staff if you push ahead of others.
Will not be back to this hotel.

This hotel IS in need of maintenance but we found it very comfortable and clean. During our stay we met many people like ourselves who had come to the hotel and resort for a quiet week or two away.

Unlike many all incusive hotels we didnt encounter rowdy all day drinkers who ended the night legless but groups of families with toddlers, their parents and grandparents all enjoying the peaceful suroundings. We spent most of the time around the smaller of the two pools on a nice grassy area which it surrounded and was great.

If you are looking for an all action holiday then this place isnt for you.

The food was also good and was always hotand a chef was on hand every meal time cooking something different. We would definetely visit this hotel again.

We arrived on a Friday evening and were given four rooms on "B" floor. None of them were suitable - one had unlockable patio doors, two were too small and noisy to get any sleep and ours had a disgusting smell of sewerage which got worse throughout the night and we ended up taking a walk at 5.00 am to get some fresh air!
We were then moved to one of the Marina Apartments which was very nice but away from the amenities in the hotel.
Eventually on the 3rd night we were able to move into a room on the 5th floor which was very clean and comfortable.
The hotel is on the whole very clean.

The hotel managers were very pleasant and helpful and let us have the safe in the room free for one week in compensation for the hassle caused.
I would say if you are allocated these rooms to keep on pressuring them to move you. Im sure they must have this problem every week and we were left wondering why they don't just close that floor. Obviously some people just don't like to complain.

The plus points for this hotel are that the food and location could not be faulted.Although the coffee was undrinkable!

The entertainment was very good for the children. There were a couple of very good acts during our fortnight, a magician and a girl singing group " Three Degrees", although it was far too hot and smokey with no where near enough seats to sit and watch, so we sat outside every night.

This is a very good hotel for young families. We found however that the hotel seemed overun by children! But if we had children in our party that would not have been a problem.
Overall, the hotel was very good value for money for those on a budget.

I doubt we would choose this hotel again, unless we had an earlier arrival time and could be sure of getting a decent room from the start.

Just got back from a week in this hotel. The hotel staff were fab the hotel was clean and rooms, bed and towels done every day apart from Sunday.

The entertainment staff were fantastic, with adults and children, lots of different activities going on in the day and good entertainment at night, along with bingo with great prizes (we won 110 euro on a full house) not bad for a ticket that cost just 1.50euro.

Location was good as the beach is right at the side of the hotel and the shops and harbour to the other.

The bar and restaurant open at 8 in the morning and close at midnight.

I would recommend this hotel to people with young children and those who like a quiet resort, I would go back.

We got back last week from a 2wk stay in this hotel. Hotel was clean and rooms, bed and towels changed every day.

All staff friendly and loved kids.

Entertainment on in the day for kids and adults, at night kids disco, bingo for all the family with good prizes (We didn't win)then at 10.30 a show would be on.

Food was excellent. If you went out for the day they would make you a picnic 4 no cost.

We loved it and would go again.

This was our first holiday abroad with our 3 year old daughter so were looking for a hotel that was close to beach, had kids pool and close to local resort. Well, this hotel had it all.

The location of the hotel to the beach could not have been any better, approx 20 steps from the pool terrace!! The beach was clean and supervised by life guards. The hire of sun beds and umbrellas were expensive so we brought our own parasol from a near by shop for only 3 euros!

The hotel pool areas were fab. There are two pools, the main pool and a children's pool which was a bit hit with our daughter. Both were clean and well maintained.

The hotel rooms were very basic but very clean which is the main thing. Towels and bed linen were changed on a daily basis.

The hotel staff were faultless, all most friendly and the evening entertainment was ok.

The food was excellent, good choice everyday, even a separate selection of kids food.

We enjoyed our holiday so much we are returning again next year, cannot wait!!

Having read previous opinions about the Hotel Cala'n'Bosch we arrived with open minds.

Raised on a slight hill this hotel looks down on all the other establishments round the resort and does look dated.

Upon arrival the reception staff were very polite and keen to please all spoke good English (better than our Spanish).

The lifts to the upper floors were small, holding a maximum of four people, which proved awkward with our luggage, two separate trips were needed.

The room was excellent, clean and well situated overlooking the pool area and beach. Maids came daily with clean bedding, towels and a vast array of cleaning equipment which they used diligently.

The beach was less than a stones throw from the hotel pool and was initially very clean and well maintained. However after terrible thunder storms it became a seaweed covered mess that was not cleared by the local authorities, which slightly spoilt our holiday.

The three pools were clean and getting a sunbed was ok, although a ban on inflatables in the main pool deflated our Inflatable crocodile amongst other animal inflatables.

The entertainment was good, not brilliant, but good. Mini disco for kids was silly. Bingo was long (three languages per number). The children's entertainer was very exuberant and the kids loved him.

Bar staff were fantastic even teaching me a few important phrases in Spanish.

Would I return to this hotel? Probably not as I did not rate All Inclusive as I do not drink a lot of alcohol and the food did become repetitive but very tasty all the same.

The hotel would benefit from double glazing and anti slam gadgets on the doors as a midnight bar does make it a bit on the noisy side for those with kids

This is our third visit to the Cala'n Bosch hotel and we throughly enjoyed it. We have always found the staff friendly and were happy to see lots of old faces who even remembered us. The First Choice rep was also friendly has well as been efficient.

Because I find it hard to walk we had a ground floor room. This was nosy at night as it was near reception and we could hear people coming in and going up to their room. However, we were warned about this when we registered and offered an alternative, so we can't complain. As it happened the convenience of the location outweighed the disadvantages.

The hotel itself is quite tired and in need of refurbishment. Though we have been given to understand this will happen this winter.

As for the food, I found its quite good and would have given it a 4. Choice was good if you like fish, chicken or pork. As well as excellent salads and pastas. However, my husband is a very fussy eater and sometimes found himself limited for choice. The highlight of the meals was the varieties of soup, which we both enjoyed.

We arrived late-ish friday night to a fully booked hotel and chaos. This hotel seems like it is overbooked on a regular basis and guests get moved to the Marina apartments every time there is an arrival(still good apartments though so I was told).

We were given room B1 which which was just next to reception, the bar area and entertainment area and all night (till 2am) the italians, spanish and english were talking and shouting in reception after they were moved from the bar area at midnight by security.

We are not one's for going to bed early but this particular night we wanted to get some sleep. The same happened Sat night. Our friends were also put on the ground floor B5 and B10 and their rooms were diabolical.

They smelt of raw sewerage, pokey, plug sockets didn't work nor did the air conditioning. One of the rooms had definitely had a break in with the safe deposit box ripped of the wall and the patio doors damaged.

We were all moved to the 5th floor 2 days later and got beautiful views over the marina. We enjoyed the rest of the holiday in peace and you could go to bed at whatever time you wanted.

The restaurant and entertainment area are too small for the amount of guests you have in this hotel in high season. This is the only all inclusive hotel I have had to queue for meals.

The food was very good and quite a variety. Pool and location of this hotel is excellent and could be brilliant.

It is having a total refurb for 2006 season so this hotel should be brought up to scratch. Claire the first choice rep was very good at sorting out our earlier problems.

My advice would definitely be if you are not happy with anything about your holiday you must keep on at them -like your room not being up to scratch as a lot of people were not happy especially if you got the B floor but they didn't want to cause a fuss.

Overall a good holiday but I would stay in different accommodation.

We were very pleasantly surprised when we arrived at hotel after reading some of the reviews on this and other sites.

The accomodation is basic and could do with updating (which is happening next year) but food wad exceptional - this is our 5th all inclusive and this was the best food even better than 5 star hotel in Cyprus.

Staff were all really friendly and helpful. Entertainment team were brilliant and all of our party of 12 (ranging from 9yrs to 45yrs) had a go at at least one of the daytime activities and as a group won several of the certificates!!!!!

The location is great right on the beach and the marina is very picturesque with just enough shops to enable you to bring gifts home.

Cuitadella definitely worth a vist especially as so easy to get to.

All of us had a great holiday and we would definately recommend the hotel and the resort.
