We booked 10 days at the hotel.
What I can say to start is dont expect anything more that 3 star and that I think is being over generous.

The rooms:-
These are very basic with most in need of modernisation. Some were under modernisation with work starting at 8am and continuing until early evening. Units in the room were in a sorry state with doors falling off and a cupboard where a new water heater had been fitted did not close right due to the water heater being too big. Plenty of lights if the bulbs worked. The bath had rust dropping off it at the edges. Bedsheets were only changed the once and towels 3 times in 10 days. The main shutter outside the patio doors didnt lock.

The Food and Drink:-
Was typically English food cooked the hotels way. Most of it had too much salt in it. There was plenty of it and plenty of choice except that there could have been a better selection of just plain vegatables. The food could have been a lot hotter.
The restaurant in not big enough and at busy time you struggled to find a seat. The waiters are constantly clearing the tables and if you want to keep any cutlery, plates, cups etc, hold onto them as if they were left unattended they would be cleared by the waiters within seconds...!.
The drink was also plentiful with local beer and spirits flowing freely. They was also a daily cocktail. The 'shorts' measures are very large with sometimes half a glass (sorry, plastic half pint cups) of spirits and half Coke, Lemonade etc.
The downstairs bar is also too small especially when it rains and all the entertainment moves inside at night. The upstairs bar is a lot quieter and much more civilised, thats if it actually opened.
The poolside bar severed snacks (at certain times) and drink all the way through from 11 am until 6 pm.

The hotel in general.
The staff worked constantly to serve, tidy and generally help people out and were curtious provided guest were polite to them. The poolside is very very busy and people were reserving sunbeds around 8.30am. It was not really big enough but the pool was great when wanting to cool off after laying in the sun. Be careful of the sharply sloping pool at the shallow end though. A adjoining kids pool is situated at one end of the main pool. There was plenty of rubbish left around the poolside at the end of the day but that was because of the guests who couldnt be bothered to put it in a bin even though there was one not 5 yards away. These were also emptied frequently. Only saw 2 cockroaches but there are cats roaming around by the poolside.

Surroundings
Very hilly and not suitable for the less mobile. It was Ok going down to the town (about 15 mins) but was tiring when walking back up. The Main motorway serving Tenerife runs at one side of the hotel. Some of the rooms have a poor view of the area. Watch out for the Timeshare people. Some were good by saying that they were working on behalf of the BBC. Nothing really around the complex but 5-10 mins walk and there were plenty of Shops, Bars and Restaurants but watch out also for people selling sunglasses, watches etc whilst you are sat outside the Bars.

Overall a fairly good holiday but dont think we will be going back

We booked a last minute deal on teletext and so only got to check out the reviews after we had paid.

I have always dreamed of having a pool side room - and we had one - fabulous! Actually not fabulous here because the room was totally black. I think they use eco light bulbs or something, this plus the granite stone patio and tons of creeper made what should have been a bright sunny room totally depressing.

The furniture and decor very basic and shabby and in need of upgrade. (Maybe that's the reason for low wattage light bulbs) Bathroom full of cigarette burns and chipped tiles. Kids hated getting in bath/shower and because there was only ever enough hot water for one person to bathe every night we all had to make do with a 2 minute dip using each others water. Not nice.

Pool side bar like something from the 70's. Filthy and disgusting behind the counter. Fridges and cupboard that were just ancient. God knows what the actual kitchen was like, we never got to see much in there as a small hatch opened at snack time and a pair of white gloved hands passed out the food. Probably just as well. Situation not helped by the dozens of wild cats prowling around the place day and night. Pool side itself OK, kids playground needed demolishign and startig again, reception and inside main hotel OK. Food - well yes. My husband hated it and said he felt sick every time he went in the dining room. He said food luke warm and disgusting. Personally I think it was edible. Enough choice to suit all tastes and some moaning reviewers just too fussy. You certainly wouldn't go hungry and it is 3 star so you get what you pay for. Dining room clean if a bit out dated.

Entertainment - OK during day. Kids club lady Valerie was lovely and full of enthusiasm. Night time a bit samey and amaterish but as I said before you get what you pay for.

Location - awful. Up a hill - in scruffy end of resort and you have to cross a major road and motorway to get in to resort. Not sutiable for old, very young and out of shape like me.

Cckroaches all the time in my room even ended bringing one home in my suitcase. Lots of steps up to rooms extremely hilly outside the hotel.

Food was ok.

Entertainment was ok most nights. The aqua park over the road was fantasic value for money you have the slides and the dolphin show.

The pool caused a few accidents cause it slopes down in places where you cant see. overall got a fair enough holiday for the price.

This place needs to be closed!

The hotel is falling apart the rooms are in a bad condition many cockroaches and other things everywhere!

The food is ok if you are first there otherwise you end up eating just warm food.

I wouldn't go here ever again the only good thing about the area was the bar Snoopy's on the front

I read the reviews before we went and was worried I must admit but no reason to be.

If you are expecting 5 star forget it but for a 3 star it perfectly does the job.

Food choice was good, for every meal, cleanliness was excellent cleaner

Have just arrived back from a fortnight at this hotel, we are really sad to be back home as it was such a wonderful holiday. The staff were really friendly, had a problem with our lock one day and it was sorted immediately. The staff in the restaurant and bars were great with everbody. Could easily get sunbeds although you had to be early for a parasol. The maids cleaned the rooms well every other day. Our children had a great time joining in with the sports activities and made some great friends. We enjoyed the food (two of us are vegetarians). The entertainment was amateurish but the animation team worked really hard and were good with the kids and adults. I would go back to this hotel again. A safe only costs 15 euros and you get all your money back at the end of the holiday. There are a lot of steps around we had 98 to get to our room, although there are lifts, but we used the steps to stop us gaining weight from all the food and drink! I would also like to mention unlike some all inclusive hotels you are served with proper Coka Cola, Fanta, Sprite etc and the alcohol was strong. Hope anyone going has a great time like we did.

The food was awful I have never seen red peppers served for breakfast up until now, everything was cold and after trying two or three times we ate out for all meals.

The Hotel was general clean but maid service was infrequent. The rooms were clean with sheets change once during our stay and towels change twice.

The rooms had no air conditioning or ceiling fan and therefore the heat was intolerable. Unfortunately for our party the rooms faced a very busy road so opening the balcony door was impossible because of road noise, bottle banks, rubbish empty at 2 a.m. every morning.

There was also the yelling and screaming of drunks coming home from clubs. I have never in all the time I have been travelling abroad come home more tired than when I went.

The hotel itself was clean and tidy. One day it absolutely poured with rain non-stop and maids worked tirelessly to mop up water as guests walked in and out.

The all-inclusive food was excellent. Yes, bit repetitive but plenty of choice and could always find something to eat, even children (and I have one very fussy one!) Food always hot and excellent roast every night. Kids loved it.

The hotel location is definitely not suitable for the elderly or less mobile, and I would suspect anyone with a buggy would experience problems and frustration at all the steps. No complaints though, we were aware of its location and how hilly it was. Kept us fit anyway (58 steps down to the pool, then a steep slope to our apartment location, then another 20 odd steps into the apartment!!)

The main road servicing Tenerife is right next to Caledonia Park Hotel and the traffic is almost constant. Quiter at night, but starts again early morning. Didn't bother us.

Going down from the hotel into the San Eugenio area (lots of great shops) was via "Cardiac Hill", which admittedly is VERY slippery even when dry. Hotel staff all friendly, no complaints. They particularly loved the kids.

Drinks per person were limited at a visit to the bar, but didn't cause us a problem. Kids loved just going to the bar for a Coke or Fanta whenever they felt like it (I think they miss that when eating out in the UK!!)

The entertainment was great fun. Some little amateurish, but who cares, on holiday you just have a laugh and make the most of it all. Kids loved the mini-disco every night at 8.30, even got the audience singing and dancing! The Animation Team worked hard, although the Bingo one night left a lot to be desired when trying to understand a Foreign member of the Animation Team! Daresay, someone must have lost a Full House there that night. But my son one the Bingo one night (77 Euros - had to split it with another Full House winner).

I would add that the maids were out early every morning without fail, even when it rained that particular day (it was a tropical storm) and were seen tirelessly sweeping the edges of the road, picking up any rubbish and sweeping away leaves!! They came to our apartment every day but one (10 day stay) - cleaning not very particular and, yes, very black feet, but it was acceptable.

The accommodation is 3 star and you should not expect anything more. It is basic, but it is clean and we were happy. We had a fantastic time. Our particular apartment was no.806 and a one-bedroom apartment. Up another 15 or so steps inside the apartment and you reached the biggest terrace I have ever seen, complete with table and 4 chairs and airer for your wet towels etc. The view from there was fantastic and the suntanning potential - brilliant!

It was nice to sit up on the terrace late afternoon after being at the pool, or having walked out, and enjoy a bit of tranquility before changing for dinner. T

hen after dinner it was out by the pool again (where they clear away the sunbeds at about 7.30 and replace them with tables and chairs) in readiness for the evening entertainment.

As for the sunbeds (sorry this is not in any particular order, I am just going on about everything as I think of it) there are plenty of them but parasols need to be grabbed early in the morning if you want one. Also, don't expect to see a lifeguard by the pool on a regular basis - in our 10 day stay I saw him sit by the pool for a one/two hour session only 3 times! But then again parents should be aware of their children's ability in the water.

As for the all-inclusive drinks - no complaints. Wine good, beer good (although my husband said at times you only got half a cup of froth!), but only from plastic cups round the pool and in the poolside bar. Only glasses available are in the restaurant at meal times. Decent Coca-Cola, Fanta (orange and lemon)and Sprite for kids.

I know that this hotel has been standing for some years and needs updating, but if you go with the view that it IS a 3 star complex, you won't have any complaints. We would go there again, we loved our time there and didn't want to come home.

Well what can I say about the hotel, but it was awful, this was the worst place that I have ever stayed in. The rep was hopeless, not very helpful, we specifically requested that we were not in a room near the motorway, where did they put us a room right at the motorway, my 4 year old daughter cried the night we arrived with the noise, (room 401), we went straight to reception to ask for another room, yes we got another room the next day, a few doors down, not much better, we never slept for the whole 2 weeks, due to the noise of the busy motorway,

The food was awful they did not cater at all for children, food was never that warm.

As the fortnight went on the pool became more and more unpleasant water was very very cloudy.

The rooms was dirty and in bad state of repair, and so hard to get to with suitcases, as you have to go down stairs, then up stairs, and then along a corrider to be faced again with more stairs.

I can honestly say I will not be going back to this hotel, for anyone who said it was fantastic and clean, well all I can say is that you are very easy pleased, because this place is not for the faint hearted.

Everyone has there own expectations go and find out themselves.
