The beach was huge and not crowded, the only drawbacks being that it was shingle but a good pair of beach shoes or pool shoes would take care of that, and you had to pay for the sunloungers and although I dont recall the price I recall it being more than I was prepared to pay.
This resort is suited to families and couples as it is fairly spanish with a lovely spanish market once a week.
A big supermarket just round the corner from the hotel selling everything you need, lots of restaurants and bars to try. Lots of souvenier shops, nice walks in the evenings.

Tossa de Mar is a beautiful little town. It is busy without being rowdy. The picturesque Old Town is lovely to wander around and the New Town has good shopping.
There are a few beaches to choose from and all are clean. There are boat trips, scuba diving and guided walks for the more energetic but Tossa is really a place to chill out and relax.
In terms of nightlife, there are plenty of good restaursnts to choose from and some bars have live music (flamenco). But again, if you are looking for a wide range of night life, Tossa is not for you. I have visited this resort 6 times and will be visiting again

Very clean area not much entertainment out of hotels the beach was very clean and tidy although very shingley

We found the resort to be very clean and tidy.The entertainment in Tossa is based around restaurants more than nightclubs(tho there are some about)
The beach is a fine sandy one which slopes gently into the sea. All in all a very nice place.

The hotel is only 10 - 15 miutes walk to the beach. A leisurely stroll through the main streets of Tossa brought back memories of the last time I was there. Obviously things have changed (a little busier), but the place still has it's charm, as well as loads of good places to eat.
If you want to feel refreshed and relaxed this is the place to come,the castle of a night give the resort an almost magical feel of a night,and during the day the castle and streets offer welcome relief from the sun,you can lose yourself meandering around a maze of shops,bars and restaurants,you soon get into the tossa pace,and feel better for it.
everything in tossa de mar was absolutely gorgeous. The beach was very very clean.Will be back next year.
The Resort was beautiful with the crowning glory being the old Castle at one end of the beach. The pavements and roads were clean with no rubbish. Good choice of shops with some lovely clothes and shoe boutiques - no really tacky shops. Lots of restaurants and bars. Not much night life, more suited to couples, honeymooners etc. The old part of the town was beautiful. Again we didn't use the resort entertainment so cannot really comment on it.
The beach was large and never seemed full. Various boat trips went from the beach - good value for money. Beach more coarse than sandy and sloping quite deeply into the water - so swimmers take care.
All in all a wonderful resort, brilliant holiday - one we would definitely do all over again!!

Tossa de Mar is a great resort for couples and families who want a relaxing holiday away from lager louts. It still has some charm unlike nearby Lloret, which is very like blackpool.
