Always feel at home in tossa. The rowdy stuff down the road in lloret is ok if you want it, and the bar and restaurant theme to tossa suits all Beach grat boats along the coast fab and the the bus bar near the bus station always seems to be open for a nightcap or an early start !!

The resort has been upgraded this last few years. As it is a working town there are plenty of shops etc; to go around.
Of course there is the Vila Vela walled old town which is the jewel of Tossa de Mar.
We have been going to this resort for 12 years.

This is the 4th time in in 7yrs that me & the wife have been to Tossa, we like it there because we do like a bit of the quiet life, & there are some very good restaurants & cafes to choose from, for cheapness i would like to recommend Pano's Bar, which is situated on the corner opposite the entrance of the Costa Brava Hotel, at 1.35 euros a pint (£1) is good value, the price has gone up a bit since we were last there because of the Euro, a pint was about 70p when we were last there in 1999, & Theresa & Toni are always good for a laugh.
I also recommend some of the trips, Barcelona is a great place & we have been there on every visit to Tossa, Charming Catalunya is a trip to the real Spain taking you along the country roads to the heart of the mountains, with various stops along the way, & of course a trip to Port Aventura theme park in Salou & the Dragon Khan with 8 loops fantastic.We love Tossa De Mar & if we ever win the lottery we would definately buy some property there, the locals are fantastic people. We will be back.

tossa is a wonderful place
it is pictureque romantic and wonderfully quiet in comparison with somewhere like lloret.

we thought the resort was brilliant. we were only a shoprt 5 min walk from the resort centre which was lively in a relaxed sort of way-no lager louts!! there are supermarkets nearby which was handy for us- people with babies don't worry- you can buy nappies, wipes, baby food etc everywhere.resort was very clean, sweepers coming round late at night, no litter in sight! the beach was nice but not really ideal for children as there is a sttep shelf. we would definately reccomend the resort for couples and families who want lively yet relaxed atmos.

Excellent resort, we went out on a bost trip on Splash which was excellent fun, my daughter and my neice went on a thing called a flying fish which they described as the scariest thing they have been on in their lives.

Tossa is a magical place. We have visited in 1968,1972 and now 2004. The beaches are excellent although a little crowded in August. The resort is Spain as Spain should be not brash like other resorts. The little winding streets, the bars and restaurants the shops put together make one beautiful resort. The castle and surrounding village being the focal part of Tossa. The Thursday market is worth a visit. It wouldnt suit the 18-30 brigade but for 30+ it is romantic and peaceful. Wish I was still there!
