The hotels surroundings was kept clean to a good standard as was the hotels beach. The beach was nice in most parts but in some parts it had gravel which wasnt pleasent for our feet. The beach was close to the hotel and took 2 minutes to walk to (if that). Entertainment was brilliant on the beach as there is many activities. There was water slides which kept the kids well entertained, we loved the water sports part and we thouroughly enjoyed the canoes. There was a beach party on a Friday night which was very entertaining with games for all to take part in and there is a beach bar which is very handy and open from morning until 1am. Overall I was very pleased with the resort

It was our first visit to Turkey and we will definately be returning and will recommend to friends.There are plenty trips/excursions available in the area. We did the village trip and it was most interesting the lead a very primitive life by our standards but seem to be very happy with their lot. A 75 yr old lady sat 6 hours a day making beautiful carpets with no pattern other than in her head it was amazing.Comming to an agreed price at the shops was a challenge but you soon got the hang of it and it was fun. there were several shops e.g. the jewellers and the leather shop who were pleased to invite you in for a glass of wine/tea /water with no pressure to buy.The boat trips are also nice and vary in price, it pays to shop around. Thomas Cook gave this hotel their mark of excellence and we can understand why.A most enjoyable 2 weeks with lovely Turkish people

This was my 3rd time in Gumbet, i love it! The resort is always kept clean. There is something for everyone in gumbet from pubs, clubs, shows at night time and water park & watersports during the day.I went swimming with dolphins this year, it was amazing & only £45!! I would have to recommend Outback Bar & Chicos, the guys in these pubs were brilliant & so friendly! If looking for somewhere to eat id recommend China Town & Divers! I will definatly be returning next summer if not before!

The hotel is in a great area for all you party people out there, about 400yds to the main Bar Street.There are lots of bars and places to eat, and the steaks are excellent.Theres loads going on right up until the small (or not so small) hours, but the hotel is just far enough away not to get any noise.
The beach is man made of course sand and shingle, it is advisable to take something for your feet while swimming as it does hurt your feet.The sea is very clear and has fish right near the beach and the further you go out the bigger they get.

The resort of Gumbet is very very hilly, not great for the older ir kids in pushcairs, lots of bars and nightclubs and loads of places to eat day or night.
The beach has lots of water sports and boat trips, or just a lazy day on the beach is fine.
I will visit the resort again in October 2009

The resort of Gumbet is clean enough but they do need to repair some of their pavements I felt they were quite dangerous to walk on. Entertainment was quite good, enough resturaunts and bars to choose from, very friendly people.The beach was close enough from our aprts plenty sunbeds not a very large beach but clean.
