I seem to be the only one, but I thought this hotel was terrific. Room was excellent, maid service was perfect and I also liked the food, tried nearly everything in the dinning room - as my waistline can vouch for! I know that there have been some very bad reports regarding this hotel, but I feel in a hotel this size you cannot please all of the people all of the time, but I found the staff very helpful and could speak English very well. In fact it made me ashamed that we expect them to speak our language but dont make the effort to speak thiers, although I would imagine it would be a very hard language to learn. Sunny Beach is a good resort but hope it does not get much bigger or it will be spoiled. The Victoria Palace Hotel made my holiday all the more enjoyable.

victoria palace. the hotel was lovely,food was poor had to eat out all the time.trying to get a sunbed at the pool was a no no unless you wanted to get up at 7am. we would go back but not to this hotel.no entertainment at the hotel

My advise to any one cosidering this hotel. DO NOT BOOK. I read some of the other peoples opinions and went to vicoria palace with an open mind. when we arrived there we had to wait 6 hours for our room as it was not ready, the food is low grade dog food and is served in bread bins as if at school.
If it rains the water all pours through the ceiling in the foyer and there is about 3 inches of water there, the lifts also break down.
Our phone was also not working all holiday. The staff are also very cocky and unhelpful. The night we were waiting for the coach to come they could hear that we had not enjoyed staying in this hotel, so when we were leaving we left with the remark " ok see you next year ".
The towels are changed once every 4 days aswell. The air conditioning also never worked all 2 weeks. On our last nite we recieved a phone call from reception at 2 asking us to get out of our rooms as it is wanted by someone else.
As you can see from this the hotel is more than just a pretty sight.

The hotel is stunning to look at. The pool area is much too small no chance of a sun bed to had to pay for one on the beach every day. The rooms are spacious and comfortable.There is absolutely no entertainment and the drinks are expensive. Dining room too small and the food disgusting, we ate out every day.

Having stayed in a typical 2* Bulgarian hotel this hotel was great, although we had to change rooms because the first lacked open windows, the second room was fine. Sadly the maid didn't quite get it right we had only one change of sheets in the fortnight and that was two days before we left! No, the food is not great but suited some, we knew that before we left so allowed a little extra cash, it was cheap to eat out and we knew where to go. There was no entertainment at the hotel but that is normal not many hotels do have entertainment but alot of the restaurants and bars on the resort do. We probably wouldn't return to this hotel purely because of it's location, it's too far out from the centre of Sunny Beach.

the food in this hotel is not fit for animals never mind humans.the restaurant run by the most obnoxious woman i have ever met was a cattle market.the food is srved in bread bins no taste to the food whatsoever
poor variation.service with a smile is not an option in this hotel,everytime it rains the foyer floods andis a danger to all as there are electrics submerged in water which is a disaster waiting to happen.the lifts are used to transport furniture at peak times there is no service lift.items of furniture were left blocking people in their rooms.the owner visited on a regular basis with his ARMED security guards stategically located round the pool area not a very relaxing environment to be in!the cars parked at the front of the hotel were checked every morning with mirrors WHY?this person if he is in danger should not be near this hotelor any other. please beware!!!!!!

Hotel is very impresive, staff are very smart and could not be more helpfull. I was worried with all the bad reports but cannot understand what all the fuss is about. Room was first class no complaints. Food was the same eg. breakfast fried eggs, boiled eggs, scrambled eggs, bacon, suasage, french toast, all kinds of cold meat, fruit, fruit juice, ice cold water, tea, coffee,all types of ceral, rolls toast. what more can you ask for? Dinner was the same-loads to choose from, only thing missing was burgers and pizza maybee thats what people miss, i dont know. Yes the returant is too small we had to stand a couple of times and wait for a table, this should not happen but it was not too bad. The staff in the resturand are very very nice and polite and helfull and always give you a smile if you smile! Will definatly go back, loved it.

This hotel is superb to look at, definitely the best looking hotel in the resort, loads of people from other hotels come to have their pictures taken outside. The location is superb, the bus stop to the centre is only 200m away, costing 50 stotinky(20p), and it is quiet enough if you want to relax. The food is adequate, but by the second week we wanted to eat out for more variety. The rooms are clean, well appointed and the towels are changed daily, with bedding changed every 2 or 3 days. We had to change rooms due to a door being left open in a storm, which had soaked the carpet and wre moved to a room overlooking the entrance, no sea view but 4 hours of sunlight on the balcony in the afternoon & evening.Entertainment is lacking, but there are so many pubs & clubs that you should be able to find something to your liking. Would definitely come back to this hotel & resort again.
