Resort was resonable but very secluded, the only reccomended way to see the place is through holiday rep approved trips.
We done the outback safari trip which is fantastic and the Sanoa island trip which takes a two hour bus trip down to Bayahibe (same hotel we stayed the year before!) where you either pick up the speedboats or the catamaran. Speed boats are superb and well worth it.
Sanoa is such a paradise island its untrue. Imagine the maldives in the brochure then times it by 5 and this was the island, free drinks all the way and a bbq whilst your there. Then drinks on the way back which again will be the other type of boat depending which one you traveled with first. Overall a superb day out for all the family but bus trip back to hotel is a bit long when all you want to do is get to your room.

Beautiful coral sand - it does'ent get hot and is easy to walk on. Warm water and plenty of watersports available. It can be humid during the summer with a little rain - nearly always late at night.

We ate out on our last night and went to the Captain Cook Lobster Restaurant, on Bavarro Beach. Again security was good and we didn't feel at all ill at ease.

We stayed at the Bavaro All Suites resort and got married there with family and friends present. Our group totalled 14. Our experience was absolute enjoyment, from the wedding nuptials to our accomodations in a beautiful suite, to super-friendly staff, to an excellent variety of delicious foods. The grounds were beautiful, and I mean beautiful. Hibiscus and palms everywhere all over this huge resort. The beach was perfect with white sand with flecks of pink coral in it, and huge palm trees speckled all along the entire length of the beach.
We felt like royalty in our suite, all-marble interior, a great bathroom, kingsize bed, and a fully stocked bar. Housekeeping was extremely clean.
The whole resort was very clean, tables in restaurants were emptied and cleaned immediately after being used, no litter left around, clean pools, and so on.
The food was fabulous! So much selection, the breads and cheeses were very good, the food was delicious at every restaurant on the resort! Tantalizing sweet fresh fruits, mmmmm. Everyone in our group enjoyed great cuisine.
My only suggestion for improvement would be to "step up" the entertainment. It was not so hot, we entertained ourselves. The word "cheesy" comes to mind.
Other than that, I would give this resort a double thumbs up, it was by far the best and most beautiful resort I have ever stayed at!!

It was a terrible week. I'd rather stay home. THey "bumped" us to Casa De Campo, but there were no rooms for us there. It was all a scam. We wasted two days of our vacation being driven around on buses and waiting in parking lots -- and 2 months later we have yet to be reimbursed by wither Air Transat or Ocean Bavaro.
Stay away from here -- go to Aruba or someplace where people are more reliable.
