If you are visiting during the winter months then ask reception for extra warm blankets for the cold nights and also ask for the WiFi code ....
Plenty of food places to try although buffet places charge high costs on soft drinks with your meal ..

We loved the resort the people were so friendly there it was quite a surprise to see so many ex-pats out there and we even found somebody living and working out there who used to live just a few miles from where we live now and she's been there for a couple of years now.
We recommend that you visit fire mountain if you go to Lanzarote as it was wonderful loved walking down into the old town and there was so many different types of restaraunts and little bars it was wonderful.
We are so glad we went there and we would deffinately go back there if we had the money and the means we would sell up here and move out there great time had by us thats for sure excellent.

pureto del carmen was lovely and very clean, i love the bars, clubs and restaurants especially tito's and cafe la ola

We stayed in Puerto Del Carmen and had a fab time plenty of bars etc nice walk along the strip and you will find plenty the beach was great nice and warm water and couldn't have asked for better weather it was red hot! and beware on the beach dont take your shoes off you will burn your feet on the sand as we saw plenty of young lads with blisters all over the soles of there feet we were in the new town and had a walk along to the old town but thought the new town was far better just our opinion though when we do visit Lanzarote again we will be staying at PDC again

I tought that the general cleanliness of the resort had declined since 2 years ago. This time i saw alot of rubbish left around rubbish skips for a number of days and dog poo on foot paths.

The beach directly at the bottom of the road is very private and good if you are into snorkelling - plenty of fish to see.
We could not fault the many restaurants - plenty to choose from. There is a little irish bar near the bottom of the road from the hotel called the "The Drop Inn" the food is excellent and the entertainment is superb!
Also, it vitale that you take a trip to the old town. Again, the food is superb and a visit to the harbour is a must. Instead of booking your boat trips with the reps you can go down to the kiosks at the harbour and book your trip there which is also a lot cheaper.

For me the most impressive sight was the constant and continuating cleaning process that vaccuumed the resort to an excellent standard. There is plenty of choice in bars, restaurants and some memorable meals can be had from Cafe D'oro, Way West, Capri etc. For standard fare and full breakfasts The Galleon, The Barge and Molly Mallones stand out. The Mucky Duck did not. Entertainment could have been better although a great night can be had in Charlies and American Indian. If you like a flutter, many bars have bookmakers although none can touch Palms. The old town has many good restaurants, too many to mention.

Good beach in centre of Puerto del Carmen. Lots of excellent restuarants and choice of menus at reasonable prices. Beware of the shops selling cheap cameras, watches etc your tour rep should tell you about those.
Try and take some of the organised tours - firstly the scenery is out of this world and secondly they are good value.

I loved the resort!! me and my friend had an awesome time, i must say though there is no where really to sunbathe on the beach unless you walk for miles as it is all rocks. The entertainment on the night was fantastic and i must say the best club was Nikki beach great people in there that make you feel welcome. i would definately come here again!

tons of restaurants too many to mention , find your own, no need to keep visiting Lanis, Slow boat buffet crappy though, this was luke warm (should have known better)
pps most shops barter ie cameras perfumes etc, buy your camera & beach towels threre
pps also get your Euros there , 2 places bit further down from Fariones opposite Burger Kind (1.46 Euro no commison), as of 20/8/07
