Best steak house TEX MEX or the American Indian who do a steak in Jack Daniels sauce. Chinese food try The Sunshine. Indian try the one near crazy golf on the front. If you want fish go to old town where the fish come right of the boat into the pan.

Try for South facing appartment. Food in onsite bar is good but loads of local restaurants are a short walk away

If you are visiting during the winter months then ask reception for extra warm blankets for the cold nights and also ask for the WiFi code ....
Plenty of food places to try although buffet places charge high costs on soft drinks with your meal ..

Pool side apartments mean kids can just go and play while being watched from the apartment.

Plenty of good weather with sunshine almost everyday allday.Some of the street pavement need to be repaired in Puerto del Carment.The town has plenty of good places to eat and its not expensive.La Brasa Steak House was our favorate. Some good night clubs and bars with caberet like the Casino and Music Hall Tavern. Puerto del Carmen is just right.Not busy like some places on the Costas.We are going back in July.

We normally go to Playa Blanca so Del Carmen was a change it was very quite restaurants empty they were all doing deals the ones we used were very good.
Bus to Teguise was 2.50 euros one way the same price to Playa Blanca.
BEWARE of the places giving high exchange rates often it is not what you get.

Been to Puerto Del Carmen many times before so we know our way around. Only had one bad meal (The Plough) and the staff offered an immediate refund. The rest of our party enjoyed their meals so can't really complain.
Loads of shops and bars but make sure you visit the old port for the sunset.

The resort for us was OK at this time of the year but don't want to return in the Summer as
I would expect it would be Benidorm and the likes plenty of loud bars clubs etc.

i found the resort excellent, was next to old town where we eat out there most nights, some lovely restaurants there and some very good bars, did also find restaurants in new town excellent as well. would recommend to anyone going to lanzarote visit the Titty Trollops drag show, great night entertainment. Also went to Texas Rancho Show, great family night out, eat and drink all you want. overall had a great holiday and would recommend it to anyone

Matagorda is a bit on the quite side but you can travel by bus or taxi to Puerto del Carmen for a busier nightlife and more restaurants.
In Matagorda the Rose of Clare is good for a nice breakfast or steak dinner in the evening with live music at nighttime.
It was good for a group like us 15 in all as we had a great laugh and sing song, a bit boring for the children though thank god for game boys and psps.
The walk from Matagorda to the airport along the prom is lovely and its good to watch the planes landing they would nearly blow you over they get so low.
All along the prom their are shops and bars to stop for a drink or two.

Not good for people with walking difficulties. Very steep hills, loose pavement slabs, narrow pavements.Beach is a long way off, and is not a very exciting one.
Car hire at Cabrera Medina was great value. Astra £81 pw all-in, 2 drivers. Downhill from apt, just before the amusement arcade.loved the harbour bars.The locals favour the San Migel pub......and so did we !!!
Bring rainwear and cardigans for wet/cold days.Suncream cheapest in resort.

The resort of Puerta Del Carmen is very very clean.
Plenty of entertainment in lots of bars.
The beach is the best i have been to, and i have been to quite a lot.
I will be visiting the resort a lot more times in the future.

Lanzarote is ideal for couple, singles and families alike. Everyone is so friendly and willing to please. The beaches are cleaned daily and the sea is warm (not so in December but hey!!) and shallow. The catamoran trip is well worth the money, but the cruise to Fueterventura wasn't so good (small children throwing up!!) All in all, a lovely, clean resort, with friendly bars (try the Sports bar). Some areas are hilly (steep) so the appts above are ideal (no hills) x x x

We hated it here. Full of chavs and loosers. Food appalling and the place is a typical brits abroad resort.
