We had a great time just relaxing (no kids this time)The room was cleaned everyday and fresh towels supplied, everyone from the receptionists to the waiters and cleaners were very friendly and helpful
The weather was brilliant the sun shone every day and we managed to sunbathe daily.
The food differed every day with lunch varying from dinner however we would have preferred half board(coz we paid for it you feel you must eat it!)
Didn't stay for the entertainment - I know there was some dancing but went to the bars
We would definitely stay there again

This was our second winter holiday at this hotel, and things had changed very little. As expected for a holiday at this time of the year it was full of elderly Brit's (like ourselves)and a few Spaniards spending their three kings festival there.
All very relaxed and easy going. The staff were very good and efficient, the bar staff in particular.
The restaurant was never crowded, always a free table.
Food was pretty good but not over the top.
Bedrooms were typical of many 3 star hotels in Benidorm, clean fit for the purpose.
Entertainment in the Nereo was fairly good and varied compared to other hotels, but not that good it would keep you in should you fancy hitting the town.
Portland rep had gone AWOL. Never saw him/her for the whole holiday, and we never had one on our transfer from airport either. Still other than try to flog trips with inflated prices what purpose to reps serve.
In fairness we booked from the brochure on the web and the total was only

we have been going to the nereo for the past 14 years, and often book next years holiday before we have had this years. We always go for the x-mas period and are treaded like lords.
Rooms are alway nice and clean, bathroom could do with being a little bigger and have a better lighting.
Food is ok could be better but still great value for money
Location a little on the top edge of the new town, and when you've been out late at the many clubs in the town, it's a long way home.
The staff, have a job to find better.
Entertainment. for get it they only put on because they have to.

We are just back from our second visit to the Nereo and we cannot fault this hotel in any way.
I would just say that I completely agree with the comments in the previous report.
We didnt stay in for the entertainment (except one night when there was torrential rain and the streets were flooded!)Other guests I spoke to, were not very impressed.

Just back from a weeks holiday at the Nereo. I was there a few years ago and it was an excellent hotel then. Happy to say the hotel is still an excellent choice.
The food was excellent, plenty of choice and although my husband is a fussy eater there was plenty things that he liked. No problem finding a table.
The staff were all very friendly and helpful with rooms cleaned every day and fresh towels issued on a daily basis.
The location of the hotel is at the far end of the Levante beach which we found to be no problem. We enjoyed walking to the old town and did not find the distance a problem.
Entertainment was geared towards the Spanish clientele but it was not too bad. There are plenty places to go if you prefer other forms of entertainment.
We would most certainly visit this hotel again.

Just an update following my report in September 2005.
Still a fantastic hotel as previously stated but a few additions that I feel should be fetched to your attention.
Since 2005 the "Nereo" has now installed brand new air conditioning to every room and I must say it is the best A/C that I have experienced anywere in the world and you are in full control of it in your room.
Also brand new is 42 inch T.V. in the bar,with excellent reception and full sky programs.
There is one other thing that the hotel has introduced since last year which might not be eveybodys cup of tea and that is no smoking throughout the hotel yes including the bar, with exception to smoke in your room or on the outside patio drinking area at the front of the hotel and poolside. I am a smoker myself but adapted to the no smoking rule as this is a great idea to break the smokers in to the English no smoking rule that comes into affect next summer 2007.
I hope this does not affect your decision on going to this great hotel as I have already booked my return for 2007.

The Hotel is 5 minutes from the glorious Levante Beach and a 5 minute walk to the bars and madness that is Benidorm.
The rooms were clean , modern and air conditioned. Room 716 boasts of a massive all round balcony overlooking the pool.
The rooms have TV's which at one point channel 17 had sky plus and we were able to watch Eastenders in English!
The buffet was nice,could get boring if you were there for 2 weeks, however there are plenty of places to eat around that won't break the bank.

Travelled to the Hereo in mid July with the wife and 2 kids.
The hotel is very clean, the food was very good the kids loved it.
The pool is on the small side but big enough, no trouble getting sunbebs anytime of the day.
No touts in this part of the resort to bug you, one word of warning, don't trust the traffic lights outside the hotel the traffic still moves when the green-man's on. We will be going again great value.

The Nereo is perfectly situated, it is on a busy corner though but we didnt hear much noise at all. Only a 5 minute walk to both the beach and the bars.
The food i thought was excellent but i think more choice for children would make it even better. My 4 year old didnt eat much at all.
There was only 1 member of staff who made us feel welcome and that was a waitress who made meal times more fun for my boy. They couldnt speak much english. The lady on reception is on of the worst receptionists i have ever encountered. I asked her a question and she replied "ask me tomorrow!". She gave me wrong information and hardly understood a word that i said.
The room was lovely, big enough for 3 of us and very clean, we had to ask for our sheets to be changed though but they were done when we asked.
The entertainment wasnt to my taste, being in my twenties it was more geared to the older generation but just down the road theres endless amounts of entertainment.
The pool was great, the sun is there all day long and it is very clean.Inflatables are allowed. My son was in the pool all day long and the outside bar is there for the needed shade. The bar prices are reasonable too.
One point of note though, the walls are very very thin. I could here a womans converstation coming from next door!

We found this hotel to be excellent. Very clean, staff were the best we have encountered and general feel of the place is very relaxed. We were full board and always found ample food even for our 14 month old daughter. Entertainment was very basic but we go out anyway so was not a problem. Located just a few minutes from the start of levente beach with plenty shops/supermarkets/bars etc nearby. Sun shines on most of the pool all day and there was no great rush for loungers either. We would definitely return.
