There are only four lifts and you can wait for ages for one to come at busy times. The stair access is really the fire escape.
There was not enough choice of food for breakfast and chips were served with every meal including breakfast.

Hotel is very clean.
Food was passable.
Location is brilliant, 400yds to old town, 400yds to nightlife, 50yds to eateries, 50 yds to bus stop and 75yds to taxi ranks.
Staff very friendly and helpful.
Went out every night so did not see any entertainment.
Would we visit hotel again? no! Simply because it is an old hotel with paper thin walls, very very very very noisy, got no sleep at all. Residents mainly Spanish who tend to congregate in groups of 10-15 around the hotel and gabble for Spain, loudly !! At 59 yrs old we were the youngest residents!
Value for money though is first rate, good sized rooms, refurbished, many many amenities, games Inet access etc. Just a real shame about the horrendous noise.

I found the hotel to be spotlessly clean. The rooms were basic but satisfactory with big, bright bathrooms with bath and good quality shower. The balcony was also a good size.
I thought the breakfast were more like those of a 4 star hotel than 3 star, with lots of cereal, fresh fruits, yogurts cold cheeses etc and eggs and bacon with pastries different types of bread and croissants.
The evening meal was very Spanish, not really suitable for kiddies but the food was lovely with plenty of choice.
The pool area was large and the indoor heated pool and jacuzzi was lovely.
The location of the hotel is excellent a couple of minutes walk from the start of the Levante beach and just a few minutes walk from the beautiful old town.
I found the staff to be very helpful, no-one speaks much english but they are quietly efficient and I found the bar staff in particular to be charming and kindly.
My son is autistic and the restaurent manager let us take rolls etc up to our room for breakfast as the dining room was too busy for him, and we were given a packed lunch instead of dinner which was huge and good value, I managed to have dinner one night and it was yummy.
I hope to go back with my son as soon as possible.

Me and my parents stayed at this hotel on a late deal. When we got to the hotel I was pleasantly surprised. From the look of other hotels on the way to the Poseidon I didn't have very high expectations but I was greatly surprised by how clean the hotel was and the rooms were to very high standard.
The only disappointment was that the staff weren't very helpful and you couldn't go to your rooms till after 2 after enduring a supposed 40 minute bus journey that lasted nearly 2 hours.
The hotel entertainment was none existent but with the location of the hotel being close to Benidorms night life it more than made up for it.
If I was going on another late deal holiday I would go to this hotel again.

The Poseidon Palace was a very clean hotel, with beautiful clean sheets and towels everyday. We didnt like the food one bit it was dreadful.
The location was excellent for us as we like the old town.
Staff only seemed to be concerned about the spanish people, making sure their rooms were ready first.
Entertainment I cant comment on because we never stopped in hotel in evenings.
We will never visit this hotel again because of the food.

We stayed her on a 5 day half board break,the cleanliness was faultless apart fom the restaurant,I spilled a meal and the remnants left behind were still on th floor next evening.
The rooms were usual hotel,fairly spacious but 4 star standard.However we overlooked a wall from the balcony but we were on a late late deal,so cannot criticise but be warned.
The food was excellent anyone who had a problem finding a meal on this buffet has a problem, they need a 5 star a la carte.
The location is excellent for transport, it sits the cusp between poiente and levante areas of benidorm, many restaurants pubs bars ec etc.

Would I return yes on another late deal, keep your money, valubles in the safe 3 breakins whiile we were there, security non existent.

The rooms & public area are Very clean. but let down by the restaurant. You can find dirt on the plates & glasses. when we reported to the staffs, they just walked away.
All they are interesed was the drinks you are about to order. The food was like canteen food in college. sometime you found they were off.
The staff in the reception were only interested to talk to Spanish vistors beacuse they can't speak a word of English. If you think the holiday rep from My Travel can help. You are wrong! Lucia can't give a advice which is correct.

There are 2 large swimming pools but we would never find a sunbed as those Spanish stays there for the whole day from 8am!

Hotel Cleanliness was faultless as they cleaned your room every day and changed linen every 3 days. The cleaners where also very polite. The food was alright but did not cater for children. We overcame this by eating out at lunch as it was very cheap. The hotel is situated in the centre of Benidorm and only 10 minutes from every attraction.
The hotel staff had there moments but in general where helpful. The entertanment was directed at the older generation as the majority of guests are elderly and Spanish. This had its advantages as it was very quiet at night times.
If you want English entertainment there is plenty on offer for all generations in the new town. Beer also very cheap in new town from 1 euros to 1.5 euros for a pint. All in all we had a very good holiday and would stay at the poseidon again.

I Had the unfortunate pleasure to visit both the Poseidon Palace and the Poseidon Hotel. We had to be moved from the Poseidon Palace as with two children under 5 and one in a cot there was no room for the cot unless you put all of the furniture on the balcony.
When we moved to the Poseidon Hotel we found the hotel was clean, the room was slightly bigger, cleansed every day and the cleaners where excellent. The remainder were grumpy and unhelpful unless you where a Spanish O.A.P

The Posiden Hotel is one of the best hotels we have stayed in and we have travelled the world.
The hotel is very clean and the rooms are well furnished with everything you need including hairdryer you can also hire a fridge.
The restaurant is buffet style and there is a good selection and although it is Spanish style after all that's where you are visiting and the staff are excellent and very friendly.
The beach is about 10 mins if you stroll and is in the middle so is close to old and new town, there is also a bus stop directly across the road.
The hotel is very clean and the rooms are well furnished with everything you need including hairdryer you can also hire a fridge.
