This hotel is great,the pool is very big and there are plenty of sunbeds and tables and chairs. the hotel was very clean,the staff where very friendly especially at reception,the location is good just 5 mins from beach. the entertainment wasnt up to much a lot of bingo and a mini disco and then same old spanish shows. I would like to get a mention in about the kids club they are absolutely the best my 9 year old loved his time in kidzone with teresa sam and allan and i enjoyed the time to myself so thanks kidzone. just a word about the food it was great only thing is its always chips on a friday it is the chefs turn out front cutting some beautiful meat and the ladies get a rose, the men a cigar and the kids sweets on entering the dining hall. will be back at this hotel very soon.

This was my son and mines first abroad holiday. We think that it is a brilliant hotel. The kidszone staff (Theresa, Allan and Sam) were absolutely fantastic. All the staff on reception were very helpful with any queries u had. We really had a relaxing two week stay with fabulous weather. I would recommend this hotel to anyone with kids.
My mum and I got chance to relax while my son had fun at kidszone. Also Marta and Pepe who did the entertainment in the bar were alos brilliant. They got everyone joining in and learning new dance steps. They made you feel relaxed and were always pleasant to you.
The room was spotless with the towels changed as every day. The food was excellent with plenty of choice.
The location is great as it is not far from the beach which is shingly which u get to via a subway.
The trips we went on were good too. You can change travellers cheques and english money at the reception.
In the bar u need to ask for a beer mat as they don't put them out as kids throw them around.
There is an Happy Hour on Sunday, Monday and Thursday from 4pm till 5pm. All drinks half price. The bar staff were also very freindly and helpful.
I will definitely go to this hotel again with my son.

We found this hotel very clean, the staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was very good and fresh the, fried eggs for breakfast were so fresh that the yokes were still runny !! Sometimes the desserts were a bit repetitive but there was also plenty of fresh fruit especially lots of strawberries !! Having stayed in a few 3 star hotels i would rate this the same and can't understand why the brochure rates it as 2 star. It is close to the beach and a good selection of shops but about a 10 minute walk from the old town and main shopping center. We would definitely use this hotel again.

We decided to stay at the Santa Monica Hotel some of our party had been there before. I was pleasantly surprised on arrival as generally one persons idea of a good holiday may not be the same for all! The hotel was spotless, the staff were all very polite and helpful. There was always a large selection of dishes available in the restaurant with something to suit all tastes. It was within walking distance to the town centre and beaches. The entertainment in the hotel was second to none and the kids had a fantastic time with the entertainers Susi and Bea. We all had such a good time that we are booked in for a return visit this year!

Stayed here (2002 Actually)
Great Hotel, staff extremely friendly, food very good and large buffet style variety.
Food was served a bit late for me approx 7.30pm but this suited the wife.
Room was a touch on the small size and balcony overlooked the car park, although all front rooms overlook the pool and sea, so bear this in mind when booking. Bathroom was huge and fantastic, strange as it was bigger than the rest of the room.
Kids club was great although not always available.
The entertainment was ok for kids but nothing to shout about.
Overall this is a great 3* hotel, great location -(beach 2 min walk via subway).

THis hotel was brillant the only thing it lacked was the childrens club they should had made for under threes as well. The food was ok even if my husband said it was the best.
The games dddduring the day was ace my husband and i won a game and they made a fuss of you during the evening enterirment when they gave you your cerficate.
I would go back to this hotel many times and the pool was fantistic well done keep the good work up.

This was a great holiday for me and my family.
We made some lovely friends here at the Santa Monica. We did not want to go home. Only disappointment was the kids were not alowed anything in the pool. My youngest enjoyed all the the entertainment that was there for him.
Food was brilliant and you can hire a fridge and get pop at the fraction of the price from the supermarket across the road,

I went to this hotel back in 2002. The hotel was very clean and basic which is what I was expecting so that didn't bother me. The swimming pools seemed very clean aswell although I didn't attempt to go for a dip this time around. The hotel is located just a little way from the beach and about 10 minute walk from the resort centre. The shops are very good and were reasonably cheap. The childrens entertainment were absolutly brilliant this is a must visit hotel if you have kids and are looking to go to the resort. The adults entertainment was quite good aswell although we tended to wander out more so didn't really join in with it. The food in the hotel was nice but if your like myself and fussy there isn't a great deal of choice.
Im not sure if I'd go back to Callella but at the moment I'm trying to avoid Euro countries because they have become so expensive but you never know one day perhaps!
