The beach is clean but very sharp,abit like builders sand,

Calella is a dirty area - gone down hill a lot, shops are mostly what I call "tat" shops - such a pit. The beach is clean though, but if the weather is bad - nothing to do. Only found 2 or 3 internet cafes where you could make cheaper phone calls to UK.
Wake up Calella if you really want to attract the tourists, you have to speculate to accumulate.

the beach is of gravel rather than soft sand, the area has lots of bars, shops, & restraunts.
the train for barcelona is every half hour, and takes approx 50 min.
a word of warning about barcelona... there are many incidents of pickpocketing/robbing ( as we found out much to our expense ). take great care on crowded trains & in train stations, and on la rambla.
but dont let this put you off going, its an amazing city!!!

Resort was lovely very clean and lovely local people.
Beach had cafes dotted along which was lovely to sit and look at the sea whilst enjoying a drink

Calella is my number one resort and a resort that is suitable for family holidays
The beach is very clean and i can not fault it
There are numerous pubs and cafes in the centre of callela to suit everyone and are cheap. There are loads of shops which are great for the shopper , there are designer shops or if you are looking for a bargain you will defo get one in Calella
I have been to resorts all over the world and i have settled on this resort and now i do not think that i will go back to any other resort as i love Calella so much !!
I am returning this summer again to Calella and i can not wait !

Calella feels more of a town than a beach resort but we visited in January and places always look better in the sunshine.

we went in january and everwhere was closed. access to other reports and barcelona are very easy due to the station been so nearby.

Not a place for the disabled.

could not be dirty as there was hardly anyone there.
no entertainment as almost everywere was shut.
no one on the beach to clutter it.
we would not visit even in summer because there are lot better places to visit with a lot more friendly people & better entertainment even at this time of year costa brava NO!!

Enjoyed the resort. Was only there 3 days and not alot was open but still enjoyed what we saw.
