We stayed at the Font De Mar apartments which were run down, the apartments were advertised by Jumbo Tours as having a reception, bar,an in house buffet restaurant, safety deposit boxes. None of these facilities existed. There was no staff at all.Where there was previously a reception, the wires from pre-existing telephones etc were hanging out of the wall. The place was covered in dirt/dust/rubbish,and to cap it all as we had arrived after 10pm and no-one was on reception we had to rely on another holidaymaker advising us that we had to travel to the centre of salou to collect the keys. I had to sit in the street while my husband go a taxi ( costing 20 euros) to collect the keys.I complanied to Jumbo tours but was advised they are not advertising facilities at these apartments, but on checking the internet, They are still advertising all the above facilities. If I could have scored these apartments NIL then I would have.

Dire. We were a family of 10 with a senior citizen. We were transferred to the fort de mar as we were overbooked from our original booking. The patio doors did not lock, the air conditioning did not work properly and was extremely noisy. There were no blinds at the unlocked patio doors and very thin curtains - in the morning you were woken by an intense stream of light into the room. Inside the building it was like a ghost town with no staff to be seen and an unmanned reception. There was a room marked restaurant that was boarded up. The studio rooms we were allocated were so small that you could almost carry out all functions whilst still laying in the bed. The stove - consisting of two electric rings, was at the foot of the bed, as was the sink. There was one double bed settee and two single beds pushed together (mainly due to lack of space) and a toilet/shower room all in a line against one wall divided by a do-it-yourself wall divider (really nice touch and extremely cosy). The very small patio had an air conditioning condenser which took up most of the space and blew hot air right across the balcony (great whilst you have a heatwave). In the corridor, apart from never seeing any other guests or staff, the lights did not work and there were no windows, you could only get from one end to the other by feeling the walls. The small pool did look clean but there was a stream of water running into it which did not look clean. In short - only go to the fort de mar if you intend to spend the week in bed, drunk and do not wish for any other human contact.
