We spent a fantastic two weeks at the Delfin Park. The hotel was very clean with cleaners coming in everyday and changing your towels. Staff were very polite and helpful and all except for one spoke perfect English.
During our two week stay the entertainment at night included snake charmer, fire eaters, a magician/illusionist, taihiti dancers, flamenco dancers and acrobats, my onnly complaint regarding the entertainment is the main shows didnt start untill 10.00 pm but there was always music or kids games beforehand

The location of the Delfin Park is perfect you are 5 minutes from the beach and shops and about 20 minutes from Port Aventura.

This was a fab holiday and we are already considering booking up again for next year.

The hotel itself is in the perfect location in Salou within walking distance of all amenities. However we were told that that the hotel was ideal for young people seeking to be on the middle of the action in Salou. This, we felt was an absolute lie. We were placed in a room next to a young baby and were surrounded by elderly people across the hall and also to our right. We had many complaints made against us due to the level of noise which we apparently made. Understandably a small amount of noise after the disco to young people can be heard as a substantial amount of noise to babies and to older people. It was a disgrace that we were placed near these people when there are several floors in this hotel. The rececption staff had hardly any english and came across extremely rude. They failed to mention that mobile phones disconnected our room keys until the last night and therefore we had several problems getting into our room. The camp bed placed in our room was only suitable for a child and the room did not have sufficient space for it.The cleaning staff were also rude and ignored our do not disturb signs on 3 occassions. Also the most frightening thing of all was on our last night there while we were napping our room door was opened but not by any of us. When we questioned the night porter about this he tried to tell us that industrial cleaners cleaned the hotel between 10 and 12 pm at night. However the bar staff were extremely friendly and entertaining. All in all the hotel is not suitable for young people and I we believe that many of the staff could do with a couse in people relations.

The hotel itself is lovely, the location perfect and the food is really good. The rooms are of very good size and nice and clean. The poolarea is fantastic and also very clean.
However the front desk staff were absolutely shocking. I have never been treated that badly by hotel staff anywhere in the world before. Especially the manager needs to receive some trainig in costumer services. We were not impressed at all. It is always nice to be greeted with a smile and a "hello and welcome" when you check in but we got neither. They crossed the line to being rude on more than one occation. A big minus for the hotel which would be perfect if it had some decent staff at the front desk, they are after all the face of the hotel. It is such a shame because it reflects badly on everybody but the rest of the staff were very friendly, efficient and accomodating.

The room we had was large enough for 4 with adequate self catering facilities. The balcony was large but had a view of someones garden - was quiet though! Although we went self catering you can pay to use the hotel resturant which served good food and was convenient and good for kids.

The evening entertainment was varied and passed a couple of hours - the bar did get busy but there was waiter service.

Childrens evening entertainment was good and there are various things organised for children throughout the day.

The pools are clean and well maintained but cold in May.

Hotel staff were polite and helpful.

This is an absolutely lovely hotel. The staff were very friendly and welcomed us straight away. The hotel itself is very clean and well maintained and I would say looking around the rest of Salou one of the best. It is a three star hotel but should well be a four star.

The rooms were very nice and our room overlooked the pool which was nice. The rooms were cleaned everyday as were the towels. There is a safety deposit box which we got for a small fee and also a TV and telephone. The hotel is a very good choice for families as there are two children's pools and an activity centre and playground for children. The main pool is stunning with its waterfall and two jacuzzi's and has a lifeguard present everyday.

We went half board so got breakfast and dinner. Breakfast was mainly eggs, bacon, beans and sausages everyday. Dinner was different things everyday and the food was nice. You get a choice of dessert aswell!

The Delfin Park is about a minute's walk from the main beach and shops. The beach is lovely but it does get a little busy but this doesn't mean there's no sunbeds left or anything!!

Good food can be found at the Fox and Hound, Old Brown Cow, and at Robin Hood. Good bars include Hooppa, Blue Bahia, Tropical Heat, Hollywoods, Chaplins and Lennons, .

Snoepy's is an absolutely brilliant club. The music is excellent and the atmosphere is brill! There's loads of people giving you flyers for drinks etc so you'll never be short of where to go!!

Barcelona is a must we spent a whole day and there is soo much to see. Can get a bit hot for the kids though. Absolutely excellent city but be a bit more careful with bags, it's easy to spot the pickpockets so dont fall victim to them.

Port Aventura is also a must the kids will love it, we bought a one day ticket and were there from 11am until about 10pm and we managed to go around the park twice. For those bargains go to the Bonvista market which is held on Sundays, get the bus as its only cheap!!

Salou itself is very pleasant and there is much to see and do!! But if I would to go back I would definitely stay in this hotel judging from most of the other hotels this is the best one. I think all these other hotels we saw particularly the ones by the beach looked very dirty but all they needed were a lick of paint.

So as for staying in Salou I would recommend The Delfin Park Hotel!!!

Hotel room was very clean, balcony was a good size.

Main pool was fantastic although we decided most days to sit round at the smaller pool where we found it to be a little quieter and easier to get a space to sit in the sun.

Food was buffet style and was very tasty, with a wide variety of foods on offer!

Really liked this hotel and would definitely consider going back there!

We stayed 14 days in this hotel we found the staff very pleasant and helpful The rooms etc were spotless and the food very good The hotel is situated a few mins. from the main front and shops and we found it very helpful for catching buses etc to various towns We would highly recommend the Delphin Park both for couples and elderly peo[ple I might add that there was a minority of English and it was predominately German occupied although this did not cause us any concern. Again a very nice and well situated hotel and we would highly recommend it J.R.L.
