We have recently arrived back from Salou, the location of the hotel is great, night life there if you want it, theres a good karaoke bar opposite. The hotel was very clean, the swimming pool was of average size and the staff were quite friendly. The entertainment was for the older generation and the food was terrible. Other people have been stating that the food was good and there's 1 fish night a week. We found this to be every night and sumtimes even at breakfast time. There are no sepererate childrens food section, so if taking young children be prepared.

I stayed in the H10 Salou Princess for one week in August; I went with my boyfriend and another couple.

The hotel was very clean and welcoming; we could not fault how clean the hotel was. The pool area, reception, the dining area, the bar and the rooms were all very clean to a high standard. Your room gets cleaned each day but if you want your sheets changed you need to put a sign that is on your door handle on the outside door handle because if you don

Me and my boyfriend (18) visited the Salou Princess last August for 2 weeks.

We both thought the location was excellent and there were lots of restaurants and bars near by. The food and drink was cheap.

The room was clean, fairly spacious and had air conditioning, which kept the room cool throughout the day and night.

The staff were all very friendly. Even though we didn't take part in any of the hotel entertainment, the entertainment rep was great and always kept the children busy.

The only fault I had was the food, me and my boyfriend are both not fans of Spanish food and expected there to be some English food on the buffet. We ended up having to eat most nights to stop us getting hungry. The quality of the food was excellent though.

Would definatly recommend the hotel for couples and families. I felt very safe in Salou. Would definitely go back

The hotel rooms where well equipped they had air con, tv spanish channels only, safe & hair dryer. They were ok for two people but would've been cramped with three people. Bed linen was changed three times a week towels as often as you wanted. The hotel was very clean & tidy.

Before we went we read other reports & alot of them said the food was repetative this we did not find. There was a good choice of Spanish & English. Some people did not like friday night as this was mainly fish but there was other dishes & meats to choose from.

The hotel is on a main roundabout & can be a little noisy if your room is to the front of the hotel. It is about 5 mins walk to the beach & the main night life .

Staff were pleasant & helpful this made you feel welcome.

If you where into just staying at the hotel the entertainment was very good.

We arrived at the Salou Princess with some trepidation - after reading previous reviews. We have in the past stayed at a number of other H10 hotels and had always found them to be excellent. We had booked the accommodation through a website and our flights with Ryanair.

On arrival at the hotel we found the reception staff to be helpful in fact one of the staff was English - our room was not ready so we went for a look around.

It was about 12.00 noon and the pool area was very crowded. We then went in for some lunch as the restaurant opened at 12.30 - after reading other reviews we were worried about the food option and had already allowed extra money to eat out - infact we were pleasantly surprised at the quality and variety of food on offer - there was always a great choice of salads, there was always a pasta dish and usu sally two meat dishes as well as a fish dish, along with a good selection of veg and there were chips everyday. The breakfast were good as well. I don't know quite understand the previous reviews on the food perhaps those people expect pie and chips or a Sunday roast when they are abroad!

Our room was on the 1st floor in the corner and therefore had a very small balcony, we had a view of the pool area. The room was a good size for two but was not really big enough for a family - the children had to sleep on bunk beds. The room was ok but would benefit from some updating - in particular the bathroom which looked extremely tired in particular the toilet it could have done with a new loo seat - also on the back of the bathroom door someone had scratched what looked like the initials. The air conditioning worked efficiently which was good as it was very warm at night. The room was cleaned every day to an ok standard - did not really clean into corners - towels changed every day.

My main gripes were the pool area which was very crowded you had to be up at 9.00am to get a sunbed near the pool and then you were all very crowded together.

My other gripe was the entertainment - there was one lack lustre person who came round during the day halfheartedly trying to get people to join in activities - there was absolutely nothing for the children and the evening entertainment was geared to the over 60's. The bar staff were rude. The client

I read the reviews before re the food at this hotel but the other comments outweighed the food comments and I was prepared to eat out most nights.

I must say 3 of our party of 4 are very fussy eaters and we enjoyed the food in this hotel. There was a selection for everyone and even on the seafood night we managed to have pizza slices, chips and salads.

There was a great variety and although the food wasn't typically british there was something for everyone so don't let the reviews put you off decide for yourself.

The only complaint I would have is the coffee at Breakfast was either freezing cold or very sweet tasting (and I dont take sugar). The hotel was very clean and the maids were thorough every day, the beds were comfy. The hotel was very near to the shops, beach and loads of pubs as well as Port Aventure. T

here were loungers every day but be warned most people put towels on them at 9am so if you want one near the pool go early (although there is loads of room for everyone elsewhere in the grounds).

The entertainment was mainly for older people (groups singing and people dancing) the groups that were there sang in english and there was even an Abba tribute band!!

There were a lot of disabled guests and the hotel looked after them well.

If I go to Salou again I would definately stay here.

Food wasn't very good they seemed to cater for the Germans than British and food for children wasn't any good at all they had no choice.

The hotel in itself was clean and near to behaves and shops, the hotel staff was friendly.

The entertainment of a night was rubbish they didn't do anything for the kids and it was all Spanish nothing for the British and it was mainly for older couples who liked to dance the quick step or foxtrot.

There was no activities in the day or night to entertain the kids. I wouldn't recommend this hotel if you have children because they would be bored.

we were really looking forward to our holiday, and were having an "ok" time, when we all found ourselves with bite marks, one of which was so close to my eye i had to go to a medical centre to get treatment. I know mozzys are quite common, but it seemed everyone staying there had big "blister-like" bites on them. we`ve been going spain for many years, and this is the 1st time we`ve ever had anything like that happen to us, and we have come to our own conclusion that altho` this hotel looked and seemed clean, they obviously have afew insect problems that need dealing with..... infact my parents came back from the same hotel just 2 weeks ago, and my father was covered in these bites.

Went there last year and returned this year. A 3 star hotel, surprised it's not a 4 star.

Excellent size comfortable rooms. Food was fine but could be better.Location also very good.

On the downside was the entertainment more for the older generation I thought but that wont put me off returning.

Highly recommended

This review is for May 2006 not 2005 as I've stated...

Staff friendly and helpful, however our room over looked the main road and if patio door open could be noisy, my son found it hard to sleep and he was 12.

Food nice but repeative, crisps 1.30 euro sm bag crisps, 2 euro for a game of pool,4.20euro for 3 scoops of ice cream in a bowl, can be expensive even staying around the hotel especially if you have few kids.

The pool is nice and clean, childrens section is v small, entertainment not great, more for older people.

Nice hotel but think I'd get apartment next time and eat out as there are plenty of great places to eat.

Two weeks here would be too long, as I don't eat meat and I was tired of salad by day 3.

Rooms are very clean but found them a bit small, one of the male staff likes to lure at the young ladies sunbathing which was v off putting, he was v touchy feelie, so all you young people looking fun,it's not here!!!

Salou is nice but majorca beaches are much nicer...
