I thought that this hotel was the worst we have ever stayed in! When we arrived in the room, the toilet was broken, the air conditioning was broken, the patio door was broken, even the rail in the wardrobe was broken and without clothes hangers.

The swimming pool was tiny and absolutely filthy! On arrival, the beds were unmade and full of sand and crumbs.

The street noise was deafening at night time.
On a positive note, it was within walking distance from the spacious sandy beach. The night time entertainment in nearby pubs and bars was excellent.

Three star resort? What a joke!

Myself and my wife and brother and partner and kids were looking forward to the holiday of a lifetime, having had no break for three years.

Upon arrival, the staff insisted we could not all stay in the one room, despite having mentioned this to the rep on the bus.

The food was awful, and the swimming pool was full of gnats and gnus. So much for family friendly!

The restaurant staff refused to entertain us at nightime, and insisted we had to purchase drink from the bar all night! So much for El Viva Espania!

Just back from a trip to Salou in June 06, we stayed in Salou suites apartments, on arrival they hotel had no room for us, we had to wait one hour in a queue while the receptionist checked all the other guests in, eventually she got us a room, before leaving reception I told her to make sure it was a pool facing pool as this is what we requested, she assured me it was.

When we got to our room it was facing a busy road, the floor was full of hair and the room needed a good cleaning, the bathroom ceiling was leaking in two places, I went straight to reception to complain it was now 2am in morning, after a lenghly fight she said she would move us the following day, with that we went to bed, we got absoluelty no sleep that night, the noise was unbearable there was a pub across the way and a 24 hour fast food resturant, and the chanting and singing and beeping of horns and reeving engines went on all night, my four year old son got no sleep, it was unbelievable.

First thing next morning I went straight to reception and she said she had no other room so I stayed there and wouldn't leave till she found me a pool facing room, this room was much quieter but there was still hair on the floor and it wasn't clean.

The whole week we stayed there the room was never cleaned we got no clean towels and no clean bed linen.

The pool area and restaurant and reception area were spotless clean the problem was the rooms. We got one roll of toliet roll and had to dispose of all rubbish ourself in the street bins.

The entertainment in the hotel was excellent for children there was a girl there all day long for the children(disco and face painting) but there was nothing there for adults.

The hotel is located in a great area, right in the centre of Salou beside all bus stops and shops and restaurants and the beach which is very impressive, I wouldn't return to this hotel, and make sure you have pool view if you are travelling there as the noise at the front is really unbearable and there is no nice view but of ugly rooftops, children couldn't sleep through this noise, I am usually easy to please but I really didn't enjoy my stay in these apartments.

I travelled with two friends and we had a fantastic holiday.

Our room was clean on arrival with clean bedlinen and towels. Everything was basic but very satisfactory apart from having to take away your own rubbish and then we found the brush/mop/bucket etc for us to clean our own room. In the two weeks we never had our room cleaned by staff and we had to ask for bedlinen and towels but we did get these on request. If you want posh rooms then book into a hotel these apartments are basic but then you get what you pay for. If your having a good holiday you won't be spending much time indoors anyhow!

The bar area was very nice and the staff friendly the food was excellent. I would stay here again but the entertainment in the bar is terrible for adults we never stayed at all in our complex for the nightlife.

The pool area was cleaned every morning, my only fault with the place was the entertainment people in the afternoon as they caused havoc with the kids,

I travelled with my friends none of us with children we were happy to lay by the pool and let the kids have fun until the entertainment rep decided that wasn't good enough and sent the kids off with containers of water to soak everyone not getting involved. This resulted in my mobile phone getting completely soaked,book,stereo,purse etc as if that wasn't bad enough she got them to repeat the prank while we were trying to clean up the first mess.

We had no trouble with noise as we were facing the pool. The apartments are completely central to all amenities.

The accomodation is located on a busy main street. Even though our apartment was on the third floor the noise level from drunken revellers and music was such that even purchasing ear plugs did not shut out the noise which went on throughout the night until well after 4am every night. This was partly due to a 24 hour fast food outlet situated directly opposite and under.

The view from the apartment balcony included the filthy roof tops of the businesses below us and several garments of old clothing hanging in the trees outside the apartments.

Upon arrival at 11am we were informed that check in was not available until 5pm and we were not offered an area to change into more suitable clothing for spending several hours walking about the resort.

We had to request clean towels and still waiting for clean linen

What a fantastic holiday we had!! I couldn't believe all the bad reviews I've read - I think a lot of people forget that standards are never going to be as high as you have in your house and if you expect that then you'd be best to stay at home!

The apartments were lovely, very clean - our room was looking and smelling lovely on arrival. Overall, they were always very clean in the hallways, bar area and reception.

The pool area was always busy and there's so much to do in and around Salou that you won't need to spend much time there.

The smaller beach is a 5 minute walk from the apartments and the main shops and restaurants are even closer.

We booked last minute and weren't expecting as good a holiday as we got - we heard other people saying they paid nearly double that we did, and I would say that's fair enough as they are really great and ideal location.

We had a one bedroomed apartment which was so spacious for the two of us, plus the huge balcony overlooking the pool. The air con was brilliant, it's only supposed to stay on when you have the power card in but ours stayed on all the time and at no charge!

Can't say enough nice things about this place, the staff and the reps were really friendly and could speak good English. We did have to supply our own toilet roll but there's a spar shop right across the road so it's not too inconvenient.

I'd def recommend this resort and these apartments if you want good, clean, apartments with friendly staff that are close to everything you could need or want for a fantastic holiday!!!

Hotel rooms are very basic, but you get what you pay for.

General area around very small pool was sloppy and untidy, tables not cleared during the day of food and empty drinks glasses, children running around could have had a nasty accident.

Two girls in reception were very helpful but had to deal with a lot of complaints. The two lifts to the bedrooms were constantly out of order.

This hotel needs a lot of work, and I would suggest the holiday company have a good look before next year.

We would advise everybody to stay well away from this accomandation.Travelling with a 2year old toddler showed this hotel to be lacking in child safety.There was no paddling pool and the pool that is there slopes from a shallow to very deep in a short distance.The pool was taken over on a daily basis by the entertainment for polo mathches,thus forcing children out of the pool.The pool area was badly littered.A very strong odour in the bar area was akin to baby vomit,which was there for the whole holiday.Neither of the 2lifts worked properly.The airconditioning was practicaly non existant.There was no towel changes or room cleaning in the week we were there,And only one roll of toilet paper issued for 4poeple for the week,we were expected to bin our own rubbish out in the street and when we asked for bin liners,we had to provide our own.Staff were unhelpfull unfriendly and didn't seem to care.located in a very noisy area(24hrs a day}provided little sleep at night.

We had been up since around 1 oclock in the morning then when we arrived at salou suites we were tired and just wanted to go to bed, this was about 9 oclock in the morning, when the staff told us the room wouldnt be ready until 1 oclock. So we had to sit around the pool in our clothes we came in for around 4 hours.

We had our breakfast there while waiting, it was quite cheap and was nice. When we finally got in our room, i expected it to be a mess and not a nice place, because i had heard reports about it, but it was clean and really nice, the only thing that disapointed us was that two of the sockets was loose, with one completly off the wall and wires hanging out, the chair was broke and one of the cupboards was falling to bits.

The location of the hotel was brilliant, it was around 5minutes walk from the beach, right next to all the shops and restuarants and clubs, it was in a really good place.

We only went for a week and we ended up staying in the hotel at night about 3-4 times after we'd been for something to eat, as we found the entertainment most evenings really good,it was good for the whole family, especially small children around tea time.

I would visit this hotel again becuase apart from the sockets and things, it was a really nice, clean hotel, not far from anything and had really good entertainment.

Accomadation was very disappointing to say the least. When arrived was given 2 Bedroom apartment with street view-this was dreadful, constant noise, patio doors did not appear to fit properly, air conditioning virtually non existant. Insisted on moving to another 2 bed room apartment which I have to say was much better and bigger and everything looked newer. Amazing number of apartments were burgled whilst we were there, no security at complex, anyone can walk in from the street. Entertainment during day mainly involved reps pushing kids into pool or being pushed into pool, I was amazed nobody was seriously injured whilst we were there. I would nt go back to these apartments if they gave me a free holiday and spending money thrown in!!!
