Rooms very basic. Limited rooms with balconys.
Air conditioning/ safety deposit box at extra cost.
During my 2 week stay my bedding was only changed once and towels every few days .
breakfast is very basic few slices of cucumber tomatoes. four olives bread butter tea/cofee.
I found all staff to be very friendly and helpfull with the exeption of dave the bar mans other half maria. Hotel bar open 24 hrs, very close to night life.
Swimming pool is small but ok. If you have a room by the pool/bar area it can be very loud at night when trying to sleep as music is also on 24 hrs.
All in all I foumd my stay at this hotel ok. As the saying goes "you get what you pay for".

The hotel is on the edge of Gumbet and has a pleasant outlook from the rear.I found cleanliness of the room ok.
I was lucky to have a balcony high up.My main criticism is of the noise due to the fact that this has a 24 hour bar and an alcoholic bar manager.
There appeared to be a divided ownership of the bar,restaurant and hotel with angry/violent disagreements between staff.
There was no escape from the noise which spoilt the otherwise good location and standard facilities.I did complain to my rep who was fully aware of the difficulties but with little real power to impact this.With different management and a restriction on the bar hours this would be a good family based hotel with a pleasant pool bar area.
The only other improvement would be to get a joiner to attend to the huge gaps in the doors. My room did not have a solid wall with the adjacent room but a door which meant that it was like sharing a room with the couple next door, a bit too close for comfort! and privacy.

Dreaded comming to this hotel after reading the shocking comments, however we were pleasantly surprised not only from the fresh freindly feel that was obvious immediately,but also that the pool was clean and nothing like the dirty postage stamp we were lead to believe.
Yes the rooms were basic, yet cleaned daily and the beds very comfy, ok they dont all have a balcony but as the pool side was always friendly with an open bar you didnt mind at all, and sun loungers were also no problem.
Now the staff..who after reading the bad reports we feared...but in fact found them very helpful ,polite and always there to answer any questions, they encouraged all the guests to mix and helped make it a very relaxed and freindly atmosphere always ready to join in on a laugh.
In an ace location ,a real suntrap, would definitely go back, this feeling was shared by all the other guests we spoke to!!! Nice one Ugur.

Hotel Ugur,we love it can't understand whats wrong with it.
We have been to Turkey many times (4 times one year) and have stayed there everytime.
Rooms are cleaned everyday maids are lovely Ive left loads of things lying around and they have not been touched.
Breakfast,yes I agree needs looking at.
Location brilliant. Going back again soon room N06 please

Fab litle hotel and the quick thinking staff probably saved my partners life when he became very sick and needed to go to hospital, I was out shopping!!! and without the helpful owner and staff my partner would of died, I am eternally grateful, thank you.
The pool was lovely and we never even locked our hotel rooms, safe, and very friendly.
This hotel is lovely, but its just a shame Turkey isn't.

Ugar Hotel
Pretty small hotel, very clean although not allowed food or drink into rooms - no fridge, not so good after a big night out.
Bar prices quite expensive, nice pool, nice people, clean rooms.
Breakfast pretty basic bit filled a hole.
If you have booked a cheap deal I would not complain about the standard of the hotel.

We stayed in the Ugur hotel for one week and before we got there we expected the worst!
All we had heard was that it was 'really poor', and 'dont go near there, its pants'! Well that couldn't be further from the truth...
The rooms were clean enough although take your own cushion/pillow if you can fit it in. They had no balcony, but if all your doing is sleeping, who needs one? The bathroom was very basic but clean and as far as I was concerned, the pool was lovely and very clean too!
The staff were excellent with us - if you treat them ok, they will do as much as they can for you. We were always joking and mucking about in the pool but they didn't seem to mind!
After being VERY worried about this hotel, I was more than pleased considering what we paid for the holiday! I would definitley go back...ignore all the bad reviews, it was more than fine!

Rooms clean,sheets where thread bare and full a stitched holes
breakfast was .....
x 3 thin slices of tomatoe
x 3 thin slices of cucumber
x 4 olives (which i think have been coming out since may )
bread jam
x 2 coffee/tea
location was good /staff where dreadful scruffy/dirty
argued with everyone and was always trying to over charge you,
the manager looks like sadam and was the most rudest person i have ever met.
CHANGE THE MANAGER AND STAFF THEN IT A BE A GREAT HOTEL in a good location

This hotel is ok, plenty of sun loungers and is quite clean. Dave the barman is ok and always has one eye on you and one eye on the bar!!!!! Staff can be a bit miserable. Bar prices here appear to be double the price of everywhere else in town, food is not bad but the turkish breakfast leaves a lot to be desired! It is in good walkin distance from the town (5 mins) and the beach is about ten mins away! Air conditioning is chargable and always remember to leave your key in the door at night because the maids just walk in!! Overall not too bad if all your looking for is a bed and a pool it is ideal, we had a really good holiday. TIP dont book any excursions with the Goldtrail rep the same excursions can be booked much cheaper in town through many outlets (shop around). Gumbet is well worth a Holiday We recommend it !!!!!

Stayed at Ugur hotel for one week, the hotel wasn't that nice its not that its dirty or anything its just that about 5 rooms have a balcony and the rest dont which is a pain because the rooms are very small and basic.
There is also no where to store bottles of water or any drinks as you dont get a fridge, Dave the barman is very nice and helpful.
Pool is quite nice to and like other people have said book your trips in the shops because they are so much cheaper than the reps price.
