The hotel was clean enough and the food was basic, usual turkish breakfast, it`s near the centre, about 5 mins walk, the pool area was the best part, plenty sunbeds and a nice pool bar in nice surroundings, however, apart from Dave the barman, every single member of staff was surly, even the maids don`t knock the door, just walk in without even an excuse me.
Those were the good points, the rooms don`t all have drawers and wardrobes or balcony, the pillows were home made and brick hard and the sheets were threadbare with holes, you will have to pay

Dave was the only one of the staff who ever smilled grumpy owner and the rest of his family (or they looked as if they were all related)
All day bar if you want to pay double the price of the bars in the town only 5mins away, so its well worth a walk.
The rest of the people staying were fine.
Breakfast was the best (not)
I would go back but not in same hotel.

David the barman was friendly.
The manager was a very rude man, he also ignored me when I reported that money was stolen out of our room by the cleaners. We even caught one cleaner emptying my son

Hi,me my partner and our three children stayed at the Ugur hotel in Gumbet and we found it to be a very poor and dirty hotel.
There was scum arround the edges of the pool are bed linen wasnt changed,the rooms were full of ants and the ocassional cockroach which were huge,most of the sunloungers were broke,electric light switches were broke.
The fact they call it a hotel makes me laugh,and what ever you do dont trust any of the staff especially Dave the barman"the one with manky teeth a his eyes looking in different directions" and his girlfriend Maria as they add things you havent had to your bill they are all smiles until you start querying your bill then you find that the "MY FRIEND" phase stops.
Lastly dont book anything through your reps because they are a ripoff.

I stayed in the Ugur hotel with my husband I thought that it was a good hotel, clean, the food was pretty good, the staff were really nice.
The little old man hasan was wicked. There was no entertainment but with all the bars just 5 minutes walk away i wasn't bothered. I would recomend this hotel to anyone and I would go back again.

The hotel was the worst I have ever stayed in it should be called faulty towers. Our room was broken into on the first night the door handle was hanging off for the rest of the holiday. The manager was the rudest man I have ever met and also an alcoholic. The rest of the staff was not too bad.
Drinks were overpriced. The room was dirty bed linen was not changed during the whole two weeks we stayed there. There was no hot water to have a shower. The pool was unusable it was really murky. After asking for the rep to complain it took nearly two weeks before we saw her and that was a waste of time. The location was ok.
I have been to turkey many times before and this is by far the worst hotel I have ever stayed in and I would not recommend it to my worst enemy.
