Im 13 and this was my 4th time to grand aqurium and im pleased to say we have already booked to go agen.
overall this hotel is the BEST ive ever stayed at and i would recomend this hotel for any body wether your with kids or without!
but i did find that there were a few down points ive noted these below
1) The food was basic and not anything special
2) The hotel location was ok but as we were at the top of the moutains we had a verry lon coach journey
3)entertainment was much better last as more effort was put in
and ive also noted a few of there best features:
1)Great water slide alothough it was only on twice a day
2)The waiters we great verry friendly and up for a laugh
3)people that i met were amazing and cantwaitto see them again
4)maids did a briliant job at cleaning the room tidy and i looked forward goin back to the hotel and seing wat was left on my bed!
but i must say wuite a few people have said rooms were far to small..well im sorry but i totaly disagree yes it was a litle small but you had your basic features and i mean who want to be stuck up in the room all night!
so overall i would have to say this so hotel was possible the MOST FANTASTIC HOTEL EVER!!!!and cant wait to go back!

We have had a brilliant holiday at the Grand Aquarium Apartments. Our only complaint was that the room was small for 4 adults. The cleanliness was first class, the maids visited every day. A bit put out when we have to buy our own loo roll though!! The entertainment staff were excellent I don't know where they got their energy from they we available right from early in the morning until after midnight each day and encouraged everyone to join in. We were sure that Eso had ADHD - he was never still, but so cute with it. The waiters were all very handsome (I had to mention that seeing as how we were an all girl party) and made everyone feel special. The pool was first class - plenty of room for everyone. The onsite jeweller was a bit of a nuisance, couldn't look in the window without him 'pouncing' on you within 10 seconds. Much more choice in Marmaris town if you want to purchase jewellery. The weekly market was an experience not to forget - everything was cheaper than "shoplifting" but some bargains to be had if you could haggle with the stall holders.

The Dalyan Discovery excursion, with the experience of a "mud bath" was also not to be missed - very reasonably priced -

This is the fifth time here apartments are still spotless the staff have all changed i.e. entertainment team bar staff. But reception staff are still same guray/sercan are very good.

It is a bit dearer to eat and drink their like most
sacha/iso/farte plus 2 others make up entertainment team
the owner seems to be on top of all the staff and dont let them have laugh with the guests.

Ruhi needs to be more trusting and not keep walking around like a Sargent major.

In my opinion you will not find a more cleaner s/c apartments 4**** in Icmeler.

This Hotel was fantastic!! From the beginning of the holiday to the end you were entertained whether it was the entertainment team or the waiters everyone was brilliant. Although the hotel was situated in the middle of nowhere it didn't matter because there was no reason for you not to leave!!

The maids were in your room everyday to clean and on the last day we even had a woman made out of towels and my mum's clothing!! The entertainment on an evening was the best, it was so bad you were in fits of laughter the whole time!

It wouldn't have been the same without Iso, Ali, Sascha and plat man(didn't quite catch his name)! I would recommend this to anyone who just wants a holiday for relaxing, try the Turkish bath...that was good!! Best holiday ever for me and I'm planning to go back in September!!

These are fabulous and friendly apartments and we would thoroughly recommend them.

This was our 4th time to Icmeler and our first time at the Grand Aquarium. My wife and I have identical 5 year old twin daughters, so hello to anyone who remembers seeing the girls come whizzing down the slide (paul.copley@unite-hr.com). I have to be honest and say that we won't be staying at the hotel again. Positive points for the accomadation were:
1. Very clean and tidy hotel
2. Excellent swimming pool
3. Brilliant slide for the kids
4. Friendly waiters and waitresses
5. The watch systems for spending money is a great idea
6. Room location was superb, just a stone's throw from the pool
7. Nemo, Ahmed and the hairdressers are top fella's. First class
8. The Thursday evening 5 a side. 11pm kick off! Quality!
9. The Hotel Rep was a decent chap
10. The people that we met who were also on holiday.

However the negatives for me and my wife outweighed the positives. They were:

1. Too far away from Icmeler (15 minute walk)
2. The Entertainers. Entertaining surely doesn't just qualify during the day as saying hello and pushing people in the pool to get them wet. Plus maybe the odd game of killer pool. The veening cabarets were woeful apart from the Turkish Elvis. (He's just left the building you know)
3. The Turkish Night Salesman. Pushy and in your face. If i want to go to your turkish night I'll say so, I don't need to be asked everyday for the duration of my holiday.
4. T-Bone Steak night. See above
5. Haircut. See above. Although they were nice guys again I will have a haircut when I want to have a haircut.
6. The Manager of the hotel. Wears his trousers like Simon Cowell and is a real slime ball.
7. The water slide is only on two times a day.
8. The rooms are very small.
9. The music is far to loud past 12am! This is billed as a family hotel therefore they should have some consideration for kids when playing the same old music (life is life for example) at the highest volume all night long. I wouldn't mind if there were people dancing and raving it large but there is hardly ever anyone there at that time.
10. To many of the facilities come at an extra cost. eg Pool, Playstations, gym, air con.
11. The food in the restaurant is poor. And the infamous T-Bone steak is a shocker.
12. The supermarket sells nothing other than a loaf of bread and a cornetto.

To summarise Icmeler is a dream resort. The locals are great people and the restaurants are fantastic. They all looked after the twins really well. For me all you need to enjoy yourself is a decent self catering apartment close the town with a reasonable swimming pool. The Grand Aquarium thinks it's great (see the guest book in reception) but needs to try harder on entertaining it's guests. Go the the Angel Inn Apartments.

Your not as good as you think you are.

Well its over for another year, and to be honest I really don't know if I will be going back to The Grand.

This was our fourth time in a row and the most unenjoyable of all.

The staff were no way as good or polite as in previous years.

The entertainers were lacking in something, same old same old entertainment at night, same thing but with different faces.

Nice to see the old faces Guray & Sercan on reception , Hussian in the jewelley shop the Ahmed in the fitness centre, and nice to see Sacha & Nemo.

Don't get me wrong, this is a fantasic hotel and if you visit it for the first time there is no doubt you will enjoy your holiday, we have just been spoilt over the last three years with other staff.

The Grand Aquarium was brilliant had the best holiday ever, cannot fault it in anyway, the hotel was really clean, it is of walking distance to Icmeler so much so we still managed to find our way even when some people had one too many "shandys"!!!!! Even if people fell over a wall looking for Lizards!!

The staff were all amazing people so friendly and did so much for everyone...favourite of all definitely Jay-J *laura says* made the holiday !!! Entertainment was wicked best of all comedy shows...hilarious and not forgetting the kareoke *ironic and hey baby* the memories are endless.

Big it up to everyone...Tanya, Ian, Marc, Chris, Sam, Shawney...The best entertainer Jay-J followed by Nemo and Gem. See you soon.

This was my second visit to The Grand Aquarium, Ive only been back 10days and I love it that much I am in the process of booking again for next year twice, and i can't wait to go back, Im counting down the months.

The hotel is fantastically clean and friendly with an inviting atmosphere. The entertainers are superb what more can I say I have to big it up to Jay-J what a lad not forgetting Nemo and Gem.

The entertainment team are wicked and all the staff made my 18th birthday better then I could have imagined.

Can't wait to see everyone espically Jay-J in 7 months

The apartment was located in was on the ground floor and completley shade by trees. Given the time of year and the drop in temp at night, the apartment was freezing during the night (had to ask for extra blankets) as seen no sun during the day.

Rooms were spotless and the maids were great in that every day i would arrive homw to a different pattern on the bed in towels and rose petals - lovely touch. Even my little one would get his clothes laid out with towels to shape different people daily.

The hotel i felt was a bit too far out and would hate to walk it in the summer heat.

The staff i found not to be interested if you werent looking to spend all your time by the pool or there in the evening - so much so as i couldnt tell you any of their names.

Didnt like the first nights entertainment so didnt wait about for any other night.
