Just returned from Julian Forest, we had a fab time. Complex is very clean all staff very friendly and helpful, only drawback for us was the location of apartments, if walking to Icmeler it would take over 30mins, but bus or taxis always available bus journey approx 60p (1 lira 50) pp and taxi approx

We came here end of season. All the kids were back at school.
When we arrived at Julian Forest we thought it's miles away. We soon found out from the staff there was a bus every 10 minutes and it cost 1250tl about 50p.

We were allocated on arrival at this hotel and we couldn't of asked for a better hotel.I think it was only just opened in the May of 2004 therfore was absolutely spotlessly clean.
It had all the amenities you would get back home,tv with sky,hairdryers, well equipped kitchen,air con,and beautifully done out mostly in marble.The staff were very friendly too and did try to ease the wasp poblem as much as they could.
The wristband you need to use at the hotel is a bit confusing as you cant keep a track of how much you are spending.We only ate at the hotel for breakfast as we like to be out and about, but the ones we had were very nice.
The hotel is a bit out from the centre of Icmeler but the dolmus(local bus)stops right outside the hotel every 5 mins or so.This was my first holiday in Turkey and I think Icmeler is a beautiful place, very sereen and not as busy as Marmaris but just as lovely and very picturesque.

We loved the beautiful location of the Julian Forest apartments. The rooms were very nice and kept very clean. The boys loved the slides and were kept amused during the day with killer pool and water polo. The weekly barbeque was worth going to. All the staff were very helpful especially Mevlana. The only negative aspect of the holiday was the amount of bees around the pool area,(especially the children's pool) lots of people were stung a number of times! I do hope that the hotel will address this issue for next season as it could put people off returning.

Julian Foreat is set in a brilliant location.
It is mosquetos free! Julian Forests staff were very friendly.
There are buses,taxis and trains that can take you to icmlemers town which only costs about 40 pence and is very frequent.
The hotel was extremely clean and brand new. The apartments were lovely, well equiped and fully air conditioned. There was entertainment to keep the family occupied and there are three pools. 1 for the toddlers, 1 with 2 slides and 1 big pool. The slides where fun for all members of the family.
You didnt have to carry your money around with you around the hotel because you can buy wristbands which you could pay for food and drinks with.

i loved this hotel.and it a the best holiday i have been on im only 12 years of age but it was just georgous.
the scenery for starters, you could lie on a sun-bed whilst looking at the rocks and slightly swaying trees that surround you. i never got bored of looking out my window of the view outside!
the hotel is extreamly clean and looks fantastic from every derection.
the pools are cleaned out and are suitable for any kind of people. there is a childrens pool so that parents are safe taking smaller babies into the water without getting splashed. there is a pool for the water slides whice i found entertaining and would deffenatly keep any child (if they are) entertained and safe. the larger pool has games played in everydy or so. a member of staff comes and asks you if you would like to play and if not it is no problem and you can still swim whilst the game.
i got on really well with the staff getting to know them and they are always up for a laugh and to learn new things about you and where you are from. we liked the staff so much we went outwith a meal with one and on a boat ride with the other.
drinks and food may be expecive but the non-alcoholic coctails are very good and well worth it made by server.
there are many places to visit and amny things to do from quad biking and snorkling to lying in the sand and mudbaths.
i am deffinatly coming to this hotel again and it was a holiday i shall never forget.

Excellent Choice of hotel. Brand new this year rated a 3 star. Accomodation 2 bedrooms one with on-suite bathroom, large balcony, kitchen, dining area,plus bathroom, very spacious and well equipped, air conditionong in both bedrooms. Maid service daily with change of linen and towels regularly.Staff very polite and helpful nothing to much trouble. Small supermarket. Large swimming pool plenty of sun loungers no need to get up early plenty to go around. Small childrens pool and pool area with slide and flumes. Lovely dining and bar area, can be a bit pricey pool tables playstation games and internet facilities. Entertainment was okay breakdancers were good and hubby loved the fire eater show. Musti and Helen provided good entertainment for the younger ones. Best holiday we have had so far big chance we would go back here again.

The location was lovely and the staff helpful and friendly but it was very noisy - the entertainment went on until the early hours - the family next door to us called Security one night having been woken (as we had) by guests returning at half three in the morning yelling to each other.
The music at the swimming pool during the day was also very loud. Our 10yr old son was stung at the pool by a bee and the hotel nurse said he had to go to hospital for an injection - a little OTT as it was only on his foot! a fellow holidaymaker came to the rescue with a Bite-Ease pen - I recommend that every family should take one as lots of people got stung when we were there.
We found the one-bedroom apartment quite cramped - couldn't get into the wardrobe if the boys were at the table. But it was spotlessly clean and we loved the family of chickens which clucked for bread outside our balcony every morning - luckily we had a roadside room.

We stayed at JULIAN FOREST ICMELER in august, ( first time in Turkey). We had a 2 bedroom apartment, these apartments are superb, well equipped and of very good standard (home from home).
The complex is very friendly, all staff more than willing to help, serve or just converse. Sulleyman was our favourite, he was the most sincere.
The pool area is superb, lots of sunbeds, brollys and space. The water slides are brilliant, no need to go to waterpark.
Food is OK if you are having chips or salad but everything else is poor and not very hot. The breakfast is best left alone. BBQ night food was better than the restaurant, but half the nights entertainment failed to show up which made it a poor night out.
Musti, one of the entertainers was very friendly and game for a laugh but Helen the other entertainer did not have the same attributes as Musti, she showed no personality or enthusiasm in the two weeks we were there.
The biggest downside of thE JULIAN FOREST was the bees, all 10,000 of them. Between us we were stung over 12 times, and spent many an hour or two batting them away. Wasp-eze is as essential here as sun-cream.
Dolmuses(1 million lira-40p) run very frequently outside and are cheaper than taxis(5 million lira

Well laid out clean hotel.
Rooms very clean and comfortable.
Facilities in room more than adequate.
Spacious pool area with more than enough sunbeds & parasols.
Snacks & drinks available during the day at restaurant near pool.
Hotel location away from centre means you enjoy a more spacious layout than hotels in the town centre.
All staff are very friendly and helpful.
The entertainment team does its best with games enjoyed by children & adults during the day.
At night they have a battle to keep guests at hotel with the great variety of lovely restaurants to eat in and bars to entertain you to compete with.
No mosquitoes is a bonus, although flip flops are required when walking round pool as wasps tend to be on ground.
These are attracted by the honey in the pine cones in the trees on the mountains that surrounds the hotel. We saw some wild goats come down from the mountain one day.
Geting to the town from the hotel is no problem. Go either by bus, taxi, train or walk. It takes no longer than 25 minutes at a leisurely stroll to reach the beach. The journey can take you through the old village where you see the locals going about their daily chores.
All in all we could not fault the hotel and would recommend it to anybody. It was our first visit to Turkey and will certainly be going back.
